❛ Every friend group has what we call "the lush." You know, that one person that's super loud, occasionally funny, and always ready to rage. Well in her circle, that was Dru. The life of any party she knew how to have a good time. That's probably why she was the person her friends always went to when they needed a certain kind of pick-me-up. Sure she could be obnoxious and draining, but she was always there for her friend's when they needed her. Her only major turn off was that she had no fucking filter. And that went for anything. Dru Lau always did and said what she wanted, when she wanted, wherever the fuck she wanted. Why you might ask? Well, that was just Dru. You just had to take it or leave it... ❜

✎ DRU LAU

First and foremost Dru is my Euphoria oc (I know the show is nuts but I couldn't help myself).

She has been titled the "lush friend" by her peers due to her eccentric nature and party girl antics.

She is Maddy's next door neighbor and childhood friend. As a result, she sometimes fights with Cassie over who is really Maddy's best friend.

Her parents are workaholics who are never really around. In a way, it's what fueled Dru to be so outgoing seeing as she needed the attention.

Obnoxious to the point some could find her draining.

Dru is noted for having no filter and that is both her best and worst feature.

The literal definition of a sour patch kid lol.

Dru is a lesbian and has had a crush on Lexi since the beginning of high school. Thus, she is not a fan of Fezco's newfound interest in her.

She has a major issue about staying up all night and barely being able to stay awake during the day. This is how she got her nickname "queen of the night."

Her birth name is Drucilla but don't call her that unless you want to get punched in the throat.

Tiny but mighty.

Ooh I'm obsessed with Dru!! What does season 2 look like for her? How does she appear in Lexi's play?

Ahh thank you! And good question! I think Dru’s main role in s2 is standing by Maddy and helping her get over the trash that is Nate Jacobs. She is also the first apart from Rue to realize something is up with Cassie but doesn't fully piece it together until Rue’s callout. After that Dru definitely has some strong words for her unofficial rival for betraying their best friend by getting with her abusive ex. Once this all comes to light, Dru starts planning her own revenge plot for both Cassie and Nate on her bff’s behalf. All the while, she is battling her own growing feelings for Lexi as she grows increasingly closer to Fez ( much to Dru’s jealousy ).

Dru does in fact appear in Lexi’s play along with the rest of the crew. Her character’s name is Dawn and she is one of the main points of comedic relief in the play. A weirdly on point doppelganger plays her counterpart. Unlike the initial reactions of her peers, she is instantly flattered by her portrayal ( even though the play subtly calls out many of her flaws ). I think she ties with Suze for biggest fan of Lexi and her iconic play.
