Writing Prompt #1550

Storm clouds rumbled over the distant horizon, empty of its usual ships. There was nothing but the ocean, the skies, and those around me.

“I swear to every power out there, if you push me off this stupid piece of plastic, I will murder you.” A growled, soaking wet from too many slips off the paddle board into the ocean.

“I won’t, I won’t! I wouldn’t dream of doing something so hilariously evil.” B grinned, sitting on the back of the board. A was shaky on their legs, wobbling like a newborn colt.

Suddenly, A’s instability got the best of them. Before they could right themself, they were tipping backwards. B reached out, desperately trying to stop A from going down, but it only served to send them floundering off the board as well.

A broke through the water first, gasping for air. “How could you?!” Cried A, splashing B who had just came up.

“Me? I didn’t touch you! You were the one shaking like a leaf!”

“Whatever- just help me get back up on this stupid board before we get eaten by sharks.”

Hello there, all you wonderful people, and happy Mermay 2024! This prompt list is one of a few that I’ve made for this month since I couldn’t really decide on the theme I wanted to go with this year lol.

As you can all see this Mermay prompt list is all about Sharks, which are my favorite sea critters and I know I’m not the only one! My favorite sharks are the Lemon Shark, the Blue Shark, the Whale Shark, and of course, the Great White Shark.

I know I’m rambling a little bit, but that’s not exactly new for me lol.
