she is described to have an "alternate personality", detta walker, who is unknown to odetta and was brought on by head trauma at a young age. detta suppresses odetta for most of the story, however odetta does return :]

so in The Wasteland Roland describes the doors he pulled Eddie and Susannah through as ‘the pivot at the center of a child’s seesaw’ with his and Walter’s ka on either end, the portals created by the tensions between their two destinies.

in theory does that mean that there could be a turn of the wheel where Roland dies with Jake and Walter goes on to draw the three? Like an Evil Ka-tet AU? Just shitty versions of each of them?

Like Eddie addicted to Devil Weed now - an easily controlled coward, but dangerous in vicious, backstabbing ways.

Odetta/Detta left torn in two, Walter manipulating each ones false memories to suit him.

And I guess poor Jake ends up pushed in front of bus :/

EDIT - Actually you know what considering his plans as Walter and as Randall Flagg included Get Someone Pregnant With My Demon Spawn this AU now also includes Walter adopting Jake because he thinks having a kid would be hilarious and let me tell you that is the worst thing possible for everyone involved.
