Eggs and Manifesting

Moreso than store-bought, eggs plucked by one’s own hand from the litter carry the power of manifesting. By taking the egg you’ll have shifted the course from the hatching of baby -lings/chicks of the parents’ own will toward your own of nourishment or spellcraft.

This soft-manifesting combines with the egg’s liminal nature to be a powerful manifesting agent. Briefly on the liminal nature of eggs: - Not quite alive, not quite dead - unknown contents until broken open, yet from inside the egg perspective the world outside is also unknown in character - A suspended state of transition from being of the parent to being of oneself

Used by the cunning witch some examples of how to use an egg for manifesting are - Protective circling: Using crushed shells, to manifest protective barriers and the will of the witch’s well-being over intents otherwise - Offerings: Especially when harvesting leaving egg parts or whole eggs, the will of the witch to honor, protect, and manifest greatness for any who aid you - Basal spell ingredient: In powders, spell jars, or as any manner of spell component as a manifesting force. Soft bits highly useful in beauty treatments or ritual bathing products, and I’ve been toying with using shell as a wand core component. - Shadow Work: Can be used to show us what we desire, as always be careful of the frame/lens your working is using as different ones will show different aspects of one’s desire.

**Where bought eggs are actually better: for divining type workings. The manifesting aspects of hand-raised eggs can conflict with divining to show only what we want versus what might/will be. A bought egg retains aspects of the liminal. Though really, you want fertilized eggs for the highest potency of liminality and most store-bought don’t have the chance to be. If being exacting try pasture-raised eggs or someone with a local flock. It’s my opinion that the transactional process makes the manifesting energy of the gatherer somewhat inert because it’s used up in their intended goal of getting money for the eggs.

I really wish it was easier for me to celebrate the holidays :v( since I live in the Southern Hemisphere sabbaths like mabon and yule ect are all different and I dont get to enjoy the posts :v(

Solitary Ostara - Spring Equinox TIPS

My oh my we're so close to spring!!! Today it's sunny, warm and with a fresh wind, but only last week we were snowed in heavily!

I have to admit that spring equinox is not one of my favourite celebrations, it feels like it's forced niceness and goodness on people. But! I do like the food, so maybe my list will reflect this.

Onto tips, enough blabbering!!!

So, whar can you do to celebrate spring if you are alone, closeted, restricted to your four walls, low on spoons or ideas?

- spring cleaning!!!

- open up all your windows, let the fresh air in, dust, vacuum, mop, yes EVEN under the bed, and move those furniture pieces fron the walls and clean behind there as well

- light up some incense (or choose a home perfume, charge it as you wish -protection, blessing, banishin, associate scent with purpose- and spritz it around to make your house/room smell good)

- cleanse your altar/tools/decks/self

- declutter and rearrange, do without the old to make room for the new

- spend time outside, go on a picnic with friends and family, cook something symbolic and meaningful (they don't need to know)

- plant bulbs, flowers, or just herbs to use in the kitchen.and your craft

- get your hand dirty with dirt. I promise you that's a great stress reducer. Even if it's just a potted plant of rosemary!!!

- check your pets, have they been to the vet regularly? Bathe them if they can/need, or just brush them, clean their nook, whatever they need!

- decorate around with flowers (living and potted is my favourite, but fresh cut or even fake it's allright)

- read up about Kore Persephobe Proserpina and any "flower girl" goddess

- look for local fairs and events, get your nose out if you can

- cook eggs. In. Any. Way.

- learn to tint eggs with different plants

- learn to colour boiled eggs to make super festive and creative deviled eggs

- if you're vegan fret not: savoury pies are so yummy and can be very decorated (try spinach, wild hop, asparagus and other seasonal veggies) then decorate the top with crust cutouts in the shape of flowers and leaves

- brew flowery teas and concoctions

- string up beads and bells

- hang a windchime somewhere

- dance and sing

- make a spring playlist

- make a spring pinboard

- check your new years resolution

- prune some old things

- make moon water
