8. Four characters you’d want in your group during an apocalypse and why

I’m so glad you asked me this, I’m so pumped to answer it.

Daryl: He probably has the best survival skills known on the show and I would trust him with all my life to hunt for food because I am hopeless at any survival skills, including hunting. I mean if I was alone, I’d be dead within the first hour because I have no idea what I’m doing.Glenn: Not only is he so hopeful and makes an effort maintaining the ethical side of the world, he is also amazing at supply runs, as seen in Season 1 and 3 and I am awful at running so he is in the squad.Michonne: How can you not have Michonne on your team? Not only is she trying to do what’s best for the group, she also kicks ass and I just love her so much and I need her in my squadHershel: Doctoring skills and the most hopeful character ever on the show is what I need and Hershel is my man for the job. I would also ensure he was at least 20m away from Michonne’s katana because after watching S04E08, I am emotionally scarred. 

10. Most disgusting moment in an episode

Dale’s death scarred me to be honest, I felt his pain on so many levels when the walker was pushing into his stomach.

Not weird at all! Thank you, hehe. That's very nice of you. Yeah, I love my bows too, I have a bunch of them. They're harder to wear in the winter, but I love them, I wear one almost every day. :]

Do you think Curley was nice to his wife? Or that he neglected/abused her? How do you think their first time meeting went? Sorry if this is much or too difficult to answer, I'd just like to hear the admin 's opinions.

Definitely not. Though it's not stated whether he abuses her I think we can make a pretty good educated guess. Curley's wife was a trophy wife after all and had no respect or rights on the ranch (she isn't even given a name), so personally, I would assume he did abuse her, having such a fiery temper (not to mention that vaseline glove).  Plus, during the time period, domestic abuse would be more 'normal' [ This ad is from the 1950s, 30-40 years AFTER when OMAM is set] so either way it's highly probable. 

In the novel, Curley's Wife admits how she met Curley, saying she was angry at her mother for stealing a letter (which i don't believe was ever sent) and ran away, meeting Curley and marrying him immediately. So I would suppose he was very flattering and charming up until he got to take her home and show her off to his father and the other ranch workers, as a prize. She was only about 15-16 years old and was very naive, taking everything Curley said as the undoubtable truth and marrying him as soon as possible.

Regarding the last anon's ask, since you have a headcanon name for Curley's Wife, what about the other characters who aren'ts given an explicit name? Like Slim, Curley, Whit, Candy, Crooks...

Sorry this took a while to answer! After some thought and research I came up with:

Candy = Claude = Name meaning is usually given as limp or lame, so a connection to his age/hunched over back characteristics

Curley = Chester = A common suffix used on Roman militant forts- when he walks into a scene the atmosphere immediately gets tense and more dangerous, like a military fort possibly.

Whit = William = A common name altogether, goes with his character who, bar a few scenes, largely blends into the background as ‘just another ranch worker’. Also, William means ‘will + helmet’ or protection, which would match the scene where he shows the magazine to Slim-he is quite young and naive, and I don’t really think he understands how harsh his reality is just yet (‘protected’) and he uses these magazines as a form of escaping his boring life (‘helmet’).

Crooks = Clarence = Means bright or someone with strong views.

Slim = Samuel = This name is mentioned several times in the Bible, so would link back to his description of being ‘God-like’

I made sure to choose names that began with the same letter, these were nicknames so they’d have to have come from somewhere! Also, they are all backed up here - I wanted to make sure the names were relevant to the time period while also being common enough to suit the nature of the story - these were ordinary, poor men, after all, their names wouldn’t have been all dressed up and fancy.
