Finally making this post, @ofbeautsandbeasts! I don't know why I always procrastinate so much on this task.

Anyways (and sorry it took so long (again))! Thank you so much for all the great things you sent! I love everything. Needless to say, the Milk Duds are long gone, lmao.

I adore the guinea piggies pattern so much, it's SO cute!!! Look at all these little dudes:

The fossils/stones are so cool! Though I have to confess, I think my partner gets even more excited about them, he's kind of a nerd when it comes to paleontology and stuff.

has already gotten his spot among the autumn room family! He fits so perfectly with his little autumn leaves. You're so right, he himself and his tiny treasures make the best color combination in my opinion. I'm confident he enjoys his new place.

You send so many other cool items! I didn't take close up pics of every single one. But, lol, those stickers are so funny, I love them! And I appreciate all the postcards so much! Thank you for thinking of me basically everywhere you went.

Thank you so much, @ofbeautsandbeasts! Every year I get a package from you since I don't even remember anymore when we started sending each other surprise packages, and it's always a highlight! I love to go through everything and explore what you picked for me. Here's to another year in which we hopefully (maybe???) can see each other again for real. That would be awesome!

Thank you!! My birthday was pretty good. I got to see my parents, my roommates and I had a little glow stick party, and I was quite surprised (in a good way) with one of the presents I got, which I might post about later!

Hestia: What is the weirdest scar you have and how did you get it?

I have a faint, triangle shaped scar on my forehead. When i was a kid I had no off switch, I ran everywhere I went, and ignored all adult warnings about painful repercussions. One day I ran head first into the pointy corner of an interior wall while fighting with an older cousin. I can’t remember what he did or said, but it pissed me off enough I saw red. Last thing I remember is my 6 ft Pa hobbling after us yelling that one of us would trip and hit our heads if we didn’t calm down! He was right. I hit that corner hard enough that i chipped off a bit of plaster exposing the metal bracket no one knew was there underneath. I actually remember a bright light and dropping like a sack of potatoes in a daze. I still blame the cousin... jerk.

Persephone: What's one thing have you not done that you really want to do? What’s holding you back?

I want to travel to Europe, twice I’ve saved enough money to do it, but each time I’ve used it on something more sensible like buying a house or a good car. Which is great because security is important to my unstable, easily upset brain. I have an intense, unhealthy fear of being in debt so am quite boring and have always just lived within my means. I admire people who can just risk everything on a whim, I have many friends that have successfully done it repeatedly. I hope one day I will be able to see the world AND not worry about financial fallout. Or I'll just have one of my characteristic changes of heart and say fk it, and take the leap of faith, bugger the consequences. Then be angry at myself when I'm cleaning up the mess later. This does happen every now and again. The internal arguments I have with myself are very real 🤣

Eros: How did you meet your best friend?

I had an awful break up with a boy who had treated me like a doormat for a couple of years, I am not the type to let myself be treated like this usually, but sometimes you come across someone who’s really GOOD at it. They make you feel like you’re useless, undeserving and pathetic. Anyway! This girl out of nowhere decided she couldn’t watch me have this huge emotional breakdown on my own. We’d been in the same friend group but never been close, when your young there’s always these invisible hierarchies in “groups" which is why I avoided groups like the plague! But this group was my boyfriend’s so I tried to be as involved as my beaten down mind would let me be. This girl was routinely ushered to the bottom of their pecking order because, god help her, she had a personality and regularly spoke her mind, how dare!🙄 long story short, we got talking and she realised I was more interesting than I’d allowed myself to be while amongst all these people. We formed an unbreakable bond, decided we’d had enough of these people dictating what was acceptable behaviour/personality, broke away from the others, and have been there for each other ever since ❤
