you opened the front door of the dorm, tears running down your face, mascara smudged under your eyes. all you wanted was to go straight to bed, cry until you fell asleep, and forget this entire disaster of a night ever happened.

“YNNIE IS FINALLY HOMEEE!!!!” she yelled from the living room the moment she heard the front door click shut. you could practically hear the happiness radiating in her voice, followed by the sound of her footsteps bounding towards the entrance.
“a new episode of love island just dropped and we've been waiting for you so we can all watch it together! we even got your favorite snacks and—” she stopped dead in her tracks when she rounded the corner and saw your tear stained face, your shoulders still shaking slightly.
“Oh my god... what happened???” she immediately rushed to you, pulling you into a tight hug without even waiting for an answer. her arms wrapped around you protectively, one hand gently rubbing your back
“I messed up with Iroha” you whispered against her shoulder, tears still streaming down your face, your voice cracking on her name
“omg hurry uppp, the episode's gonna start without us!!!” Minji called out in an annoyed tone, coming around the corner to see what was taking so long. But the moment her eyes landed on your face, she immediately dropped the attitude, her expression shifting to one of concern “wait, what happened?” she asked softly, moving closer
“something happened???” you heard Hanni's worried voice from the living room, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps, two people this time. Hanni and Hyein appeared in the hallway moments later, their faces full with concern
Within seconds, you were surrounded by your closest people, the ones you trusted most in the entire world. but even with them there, you still couldn't get the words out. your throat felt tight, your chest heavy.
“let's go to the couch” Hyein said gently, reaching out to grab your arm and carefully leading you to the living room. the other girls followed close behind, forming a protective circle around you.
They settled you onto the couch, each of them finding a spot nearby. Dani sat pressed against your right side, still holding your hand. Hanni took your left, her thumb tracing comforting circles on your palm. Minji sat on the coffee table directly in front of you, leaning forward with her elbows on her knees. Hyein perched on the arm of the couch, one hand resting supportively on your shoulder
for a few long minutes, you all sat in silence. they didn't pressure you to say anything, didn't bombard you with questions. they just sat quietly by your side, their presence alone offering comfort. gradually, slowly, your sobs began to subside, your breathing evening out
“i fucked up with Iroha” you finally said, louder this time, your voice hoarse. All of the girls looked at you intently, but no one interrupted. they just waited, giving you space to continue.
you took a shaky breath “she kept asking about Martin, over and over, and i just... i blew up on her. i said some really harsh things” fresh tears slowly filled your eyes again at the memory “The look on her face... god, i hurt her so badly”
“aww, don't cry” Hanni said softly, shifting to hug you properly, her arms wrapping around your shoulders for added comfort
“okay but honestly, ynnie” Minji started, her tone firm but caring “it's not okay on her side to keep asking when you're clearly not comfortable talking about it. Like, that's basic respect for boundaries."
“yeah, i completely agree” Hyein chimed in, nodding vigorously. “obviously you shouldn't have blown up on her - that's not great, but she doesn't have any right to pressure you into saying anything you're not ready to share. That's not what friends do”
yu looked around at all of the girls, and they all nodded in agreement, their expressions serious and supportive.
“but i still could've handled it so much better” you said, wiping away your tears with the back of your hand, your voice thick with guilt. “i could've just told her i didn't want to talk about it instead of raising my voice”
“yeah, you could've” Dani agreed honestly, squeezing your hand, “but it's also completely normal to get mad when someone is clearly trying to make you talk about something you don't want to. Especially something painful. you're human” (editing this on the 12th... dani's live broke me completely, my babyy)
“rxactly!!! and why the hell does she care so much anyway?” Hyein said, rolling her eyes in visible annoyance. “like what business is it of hers?”
all of you turned to look at her, and she just shrugged unapologetically “What??? im just saying what we're all thinking”
“hyein has a point though” Minji added thoughtfully. “Like, was she asking because she's genuinely concerned about you, or was she just being nosy? because there's a difference”
You thought about it for a moment, replaying the conversation in your head. “i think... u think she was worried? but it felt more like she wouldn't drop it until i gave her answers. like she felt entitled to know”
“seee, that's the problem right there” Dani said, her protective side coming out. “Being worried is one thing, but demanding information when someone's clearly uncomfortable is crossing a line”
“But i still have to apologize” you said firmly, looking at each of them “i was really mean. I need to own up to that”
“yeah, definitely” Minji agreed, “but you also need to explain why you felt that way. because in some way, it's her fault too. dhe pushed you to that point by not respecting your boundaries. A real apology goes both ways, she needs to understand her part in this”
“Exactly” Hanni added “You can be sorry for how you reacted while still making it clear that what she did wasn't okay either. Both things can be true”
“And don't let her make you feel like you're the only one in the wrong here” Hyein said seriously. “Because you're not. this whole thing could've been avoided if she'd just listened the first time you deflected”
“Okay guys, thank you so much” you said, feeling genuinely grateful. A small, watery smile finally appeared on your face. “I don't know what I'd do without you all”
“probably make bad decisions” Hyein teased, trying to lighten the mood. “That's why you keep us around”
oh hell nah bruv i just read the new chapter of low-key dating and i feel bad for iroha,can someone please tell me why ive been working like a detective tryna figure out what she does wrong and i low-key (see what I did there) think I've got it,but imma keep that to myself 4 now
But yeah I don't know how to feel about that chapter 💔💔 it was so good but at the same time i low-key want to break all my limbs 🤗
