Boston and Nick + Eye Contact

I have watched the Boston and Nick scenes more times than I can count and… my chaos boys do not always say what they are really thinking… however their eyes write sonnets

When the series starts off Boston in particular looks like he is studying Nick at all times. It’s low key creepy because Nick will look away especially when he’s feeling insecure. BUT Boston is always watching so when Nick gets like this Boston will grab Nicks neck or shoulder and look directly into his eyes to reassure him EveryTime. I don’t blame Nick for falling for the inner Boston when he is giving him these eyes all the time making Nick feel like he’s the only man in the room or world for that matter.

When they have their big fight Boston makes eye contact with Nick trying to figure him out see where he missed the fact that Nick was going to betray him. I think we hear about this when Boston tells Atom he needs to get better at understanding people. Boston thought by staring into Nick’s eyes he knew Nick would never leave or betray him. But he was wrong. Upon the realization that Nick loves him Boston has to deny it. He’s devastated that he didn’t see this or his own feelings in Nick’s brown eyes. Knocking Nick to the ground showed how scared he was. I also think blocking nick on everything and avoiding him was partly because Boston knows he can’t control himself with Nick. Boston is SCARED. He can’t control either of them. He doesn’t understand. So at the Halloween party Boston desperately tried to ignore Nick not look directly at him because all those feelings bubble up again making him feel like he’s choking guilty. He shouldn’t have let this happen in the first place. When he does make eye contact with Nick I think he had resolved himself to end things with him twist the knife.

The eye contact comes as he questions nick and says oh boy does he hurt Nick badly. Who is Nick to Judge Boston. Nick had come into the Halloween conversation not afraid of Boston but excited to see him. Nick is almost bouncing looking at Boston trying to feel their connection again. Then Boston ruins it. Shreds it. There is nothing worse Boston could have said to Nick. Nick just wanted to be ANYONE to Boston and Boston knows it. Boston successfully scared and hurt Nick into believing he was and had always been nothing to him.

When the bathroom scene starts Nick is desperate to have Boston look at him again but Boston is actively trying to keep his cool. He doesn’t want to feel what he know is his own real emotions about Nick anymore. It’s dangerous for both him and Nick. But Boston is an addict he has to listen hand on that door he could have shut it or said something to make Nick go away but he can’t. He needs Nick. Boston doesn’t want this to be the last time. Nick is scared by Bostons reaction and the memory of last conversation so his initial lines about Boston not needing to forgive him are all spoken to Bostons feet. He continues to have anxious eye flickers. Boston first looks up at “I just wanted to tell you that” and Nick and Bostons eyes meet for the tiniest of moments and Nicks voice becomes so incredibly soft as he talks about how fucking happy Boston made him before they both lose contact again. They play a bit of eye ping pong as Nick talks about how famous Boston will be and his friends until finally….

They make eye contact the whole time Nick tells Boston he loves him and not to change. Because they both know it’s terribly true. Boston wants to believe now that Nick can still love him after all Boston has done. Boston feels incredibly alone. But here Nick is infront of him being terribly brave

Nick loses it afterwards afraid of what will be on Bostons face as he leaves and Boston too looks scared to look at Nick as they part. Neither one of them wants this to be good bye but both of them are so afraid of the other rejecting them. Boston doesn’t even deny Nick is his ex to bathroom boy he’s so spun up in his emotions for Nick.

Boston follows Nick and I think this look on Bostons face is when he realizes he loves Nick way too much. He’s not mad. Boston also wants Nick to be happy and it’s heart breaking to watch Nick without him looking back. Nick can move on now. But Bostons emotions of love are so loud he’s immobilized. Frozen in a world he’s made for himself staring at the man he loves.

The bg music going “I’m getting tired of all your bullshit” in that last scene of TopMew is peak comedy. This show is truly a comedy show.

ok ok ok ok the first/mark kiss scene has GOT to be my favorite scene in the entire show so far

the way they were giggling about it afterwards? deciding that no, they're definitely better off as just friends? and then cuddling up to each other and looking at each other and immediately cracking up about the kiss again?

BostonNick share clothes ✨a theory✨

Now I’ve been thinking since I saw @burnsuncomet ‘s post yesterday about Boston Nick being a yuri couple and… it made me a bit feral and this theory reared it’s head again. Because as a lesbian it doesn’t matter if I’m a size 2x and the girls I date are Sx girl will def steal my clothes and buy herself clothes that could fit me as well so I can steal them.

It’s the ✨🏳️‍🌈culture🏳️‍🌈✨.

Now BostonNick I think pre breakup when Nick is alone he wears Boston’s clothes.

I’d describe Bostons Style pre betrayal as AmericaCore and band tees with the sleeves ripped off. Nothing too specific. When Nick is alone his outfits remind me of Bostons. And in episode 3 to 4 we even see the shirt Nick takes in the moving scene. Personally I think Nick and Boston put an emergency set of clothes at the others home. The less romantic explanation is maybe their clothes got dirty and HAD to be left. I did notice it in earlier eps but at the time I was buying into the lie that Nick is a crazy stalker child but I think he’s just your normal level of gay who wants to smell like his partner and pretend Boston is his partner when he’s not about.

Nicks style pre trying to look like top was shirts with graphic words on it with long sleeves underneath. Now pre the shop confrontation scene we don’t get Boston’s little wordy shirts. Also his wordy shirts all look like someone took some scissors to them.

Let me go fully off the rails here but I feel like these clothing choices are much more reminiscent of early Nick than Boston Pre confrontation. Almost like Boston is missing the boy he met before Top made him jealous. A weird kind of mourning ritual where Boston cuts up what’s left of Nick in his life then can’t bring himself to throw Nick away. Because… Boston loves Nick.

Idk probably just me being unhinged. But how…. Lesbian would that be.

Does Boston actively hide Nick’s dark room photo?

So been wondering for a while where the hell Nick on Bostons bed is. Well in looking at all the red room scenes Detective Jenny has found it maybe.

In the intro we get it right here above the little desk cabinet with a camera on top. Now Nick tells Boston don’t let anyone else see this and acts very self conscious about the photo. I thought this photo maybe is just hidden somewhere or sadly not yet important to Boston because we don’t see it in BostonNick or BostonAtom spicy scene.

But I was wrong. Boston did put it up. And make a big canvas copy it seems. This is from ep 2 (same ep the photo was taken in) part 4 time stamp 4:41 to 4:43. In the episode this is the scene post all the friends lake date and Boston is developing the photo of Mew and Ray. The angle is different but I think the lines on the blanket line up. So what?

Boring answer: It’s a production mistake. Photo was meant to be there whole time but didn’t come in until late.

Fun answer: Boston immediately got the photo into the big form because Nick is his favorite and he’s proud of that photo. Look at him. This is proud happy Boston you guys. He’s staring at the little photo in his hand.

But I think Boston knows from this conversation with Nick that Nick is insecure. Boston tells Nick to be confident how great he looks but Boston must know Nick doesn’t agree. So… Boston puts the photo up in his dark room when Nick isn’t around. He starts fucking Nick at Nick’s place asap. Then Boston DECIDES they are going to do it in the dark room. It’s a right of passage.. (possibly Boston and Ray have done it in there I’m leaning away from this so late in the season tho) Also Nick showed Boston at their lake date after the sand bday party disaster even if Nick doesn’t agree with him 1. Nick will tell him 2. Nick will treat him the same. Boston is SERIOUS about wanting Nick to be his number 1 until he leaves. So before Boston brings Nick to meet his dad Boston takes down the photo and leans it against the wall

Then when they break up Boston’s heart broken he removed the photo immediately or Anticipating he’d pull someone anyone at the Halloween party Boston still wanted to respect Nick’s wishes despite Nick not respecting his Boston took the photo down so only he could see Nick in his vulnerable state. 😭😭
