Ogryns, although not famous for their cleanliness and hygiene, carry no diseases or infections. The strong smell that presides around them is entirely natural and should be no cause for alarm. from: The Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer, Matt Ralphs
Are all Ogryn bears? Can you have an Ogryn twink or an Ogryn hunk or a straight Ogryn?
An Ogryn being a bear or not depends on body hair.
Ogryns have many sexualities, including some too advanced for us to comprehend.
Ogryn twinks are just space marines.
Ogryns of the Rogue Trader era Imperial Guard, with Bob Olley sculpts in the first row and the last figure on the second page, and mostly Jes Goodwin’s Warhammer Fantasy ogres completing the range, including the green figure later rebranded for Blood Bowl. (Warhammer 40,000 Compendium, GW, 1989) The earliest ogryn rules gave only one ripper gun to the squad leader, with the bulk of the unit reflecting the culture of their ‘medieval homeworlds.’
The second Ogryn sends greetings from Ukraine.
Ogryn Sapper Squad.
Obviously the idea of a Ogryn Sapper is laughable, as the big louts, while possessing much strength and stamina have neither the temprament or the subtle skills required for actual siege work.
Still, as a Siege/Infantry Regiment as opposed to a Assault Regiment, the 515th are not supposed to have heavy assault infantry other than a few Grebadier Squads to capitalize on opportunities on their Order of Battle but by keeping up a steady stream of orders for heavily-reinforced oversized entrenchment tools they have managed to sneak in several squads of heavy assault Ogryns under the watchful eyes of the Munitorum, thus much increasing their operational flexibility.
The Ogryns for their part are quite happy with the arrangement, only having to actually use their shovels for digging during inspections and otherwise being allowed to laze about camp until there is need to use the very same shovels to break open a enemy position with precisely applied ultraviolence.
