We're soulmates!" "And you're an idiot," she snaps back. "You're following a woman who's willing to throw you to the wolves!" She shoves him back. "And if you ever touch me again I'll show you just how well I can use a knife and deal with you like I've dealt with the factionless. Don't forget, the pigs are always hungry." Eric stares at her for a moment before moving forward, his mouth pressing against hers. God, she was perfect.

Arghhh, I just can't get over how Mr Kim flicked Eric's desperate hand away in that one scene in book 12. Like gosh, Eric was scared, and he's only a boy, and not even a word of comfort from Mr Kim, the only one he's depended on for years. He was desperately grasping onto the last vestiges of his teacher-student relationship with Mr Kim and Mr Kim just walks away.

Regardless, I think Mr Kim and Eric have both made big decisions, and I do want to see them to deal with whatever issues they have between them. Be it unfair expectations of bad communication or whatever, they've hurt each other one way or another and I want to see them make up and talk to one another in the future. Imagine how bright and happy they'd be. But first, Eric and Mr Kim both have to sort out their individual issues, or risk getting sucked into the darkness of bitterness, self-pity and resentment.

Wouldn't it be swell if we could find out what happened between Mr Kim and Grandmother?
