And he definitely just stepped into a life he wasn’t even prepared for, slowly learning all of these things while also trying to figure out what happened to his brother, who did it, and why. It’s so much like White, babie, you are insane. Like I love it because yeah, okay he totally pulled a twin moment and stepped into his brother’s world but also, it’s the time that they’ve definitely changed without each other, and he’s finding out all of these things about his brother that he didn’t know, wouldn’t have known, and now what does he do with this information!

And like trust. I am fully expecting shit to hit the fan when they all figure it out, and trust will go out the window, even if until White explains what’s going on. Cause his friends are definitely going to want to know what happened to Black, they’re probably going to be as out for blood as White seems to be, and that will be wild. But I’m mostly scared for the reconciliation, for White and Black to actually re-meet again… That part, that part is going to kill because White is going to realise that he never thought about what would happen when he had to go back to being White, never thought about where he’d go next, just wanted to find out what happened to his brother and why. It’s the way White is kind of learning about families through this, and maybe in the end, he’ll find a place here where he never expected, where it almost doesn’t make sense, but yet maybe it does? It’s interesting to think about…

Like that’s a lot, and having not watched the show, I know I’m missing a lot that I’ll get soon enough, so I’ll definitely be back in your asks later about it. But it’s wild just from the outside so I have no clue what to expect once I get there… (I should check if it’s okay to come back to asks about it because I rant and ramble a lot when I really get into shows..)

First, this is being typed as I stand at a blue line stop waiting for my train so please excuse autocorrect and typos. I've also got gloves on, lol.

White charged in to avenge his brother without a single thought and frankly I don't think he's had a chance to actually think since that happened and this started. He went from living his life to living a double life to living his brother's life full time in a very short span, definitely hit the ground running and hasn't stopped. He's got to be emotionally exhausted by with no way to express it to anyone and not even the time to admit it to himself.

The reunion is one of my most anticipated moments in this show. Beyond it forcing White into a true position of choosing his old life or fighting to be part of the new one he's discovered, it'll also show how differently Black had coped with everything they've been through and might also change Black's relationship within the gang as well.

They're each other opposite but they were also each other's strength for their childhood. They've changed but how much have they changed in that? Will Black still feel the same way for White that White feels about him? Will that same childhood protectiveness still be there?

And how will the gang handle this secret? Especially when they find out about Todd? That's going to be rough. There's so many dangers here to so many people and so many relationships.

See, now I always look forward to your posts because I love the way you think about these shows. But that one just hurt badly because it’s true, White is so caught up in everything now that he can’t think about when he’s not Black anymore, he can’t think about when he doesn’t have to worry about being found out, he can’t think about what will happen when Black realises he’d been putting himself in harms way. It hurts because he has nothing now, he left his father in silence, I don’t know if that job is even still there for him because he’s been all over the place, and he doesn’t even want it. That’s the other thing, he’s finding himself while learning about Black, while changing Black, and it’s a wild mess, and I’m so worried that White’s going to break, not because of this pressure, not because he’s been found out, but because he’s not going to have anyone to turn to when everyone realises the truth. It’s going to be bad, and I am not ready for that pain.

That's something truly fascinating to me. Watching White both try to lead Black's life and save Black and figure out what happened but also just trying to... live.

What does he have once Black comes back?

And then I start to think about what Black is coming back to as well.

White has change everyone's view of Black. So what's going to happen when he comes back to every last one of them?

But yeah, my main worry has to be for White.

White has nothing. He left his father and that job, he left that future and he's been gone for a while. It's been a lot longer than he could easily explain away. And he's changed so much. He's changed so much.

And not just in terms of falling in love with Sean.

But in his outlook.

In his look at life.

In the way he sees the world.

How does he go back?

How does he leave these people who've he's come to call his friends and to care for?

And now, with the added layer of his betrayal of Sean, White is rapidly losing everything he's gained alongside everything he had lose to gain that.

By the time Black wakes up, what will White have?

It’s the way I don’t even watch Not Me (Will be rectifying that btw) but I got to thinking about White because of your introspective pieces, and how he’s living his brother’s life, living the life his brother built and probably realising that he doesn’t know where he’d fit in the end because his brother’s found this makeshift family that cares for him, that understands him, but his real blood has been gone so long that maybe there’s no place in this new family, this new space, and now White’s seeing what his brother’s done and realising that he didn’t know how to do that, maybe his life wasn’t as fun-filled, maybe it wasn’t as rebellious, he probably struggled alone but his brother managed to share his burdens, found people who understood and cared, so what’s going to be next for him?

I was driving my dad to work when it hit me, and he was staring at me like I was nuts as I tried to make sense of wth just happened to my brain, while talking out more… I think I lost it..

I am very proud to have inspired that! Also, definitely join us in watching Not Me, it's fantastic and A+ and also it's very, very fun to try to explain these things to parents. Double A+ for that.

White is definitely trapped in a limbo that he, honestly, doesn't even realize he's trapped in I think. White is caught up in each moment right now. He's not thinking about the future. He's focused on finding who did this to Black, on figuring out what's going on, on surviving day to day.

But he knows subconsciously that whatever comes next isn't going to be what he wants.

He left his father after a heated argument and hasn't been back. He's in a country he hasn't been in for over a decade and his only remaining friend that knows who he is cannot help him once this all over.

White has spent a decade in another country, always missing his life, always missing his brother, always trying to keep on going but never quite finding a place. And then he comes back to find out that his brother had a place, had a found family, had support and love in so many ways.

And White has had a taste of that, not that he knows how to handle it. He's had a taste of these friends and these friendships and this trust and this support and he's aching inside, deeper and deeper, because he hasn't felt any of this in so long that he doesn't know what to do.

I also always think about the divorce and separation and I know that White and his father said it was because his mother was cheating but I still 100% believe it was due to her wanting them to be separated rather than her own choices. She was clear about that at the pool.

White has been alone for so long. And now he has a chance... but his only chance is as someone else. At some point, he's going to have to step back and let Black step back into his own life and what's left for White than?

A father he's not speaking to? A job he doesn't want? An unfamiliar childhood country? A future career he might not be able to get? A cage, gilded and lovely, but a cage nonetheless? A friendless, soulless, world where he is nothing but a cog in a machine he no longer believes in?

Or is he a rebel now? Will he try to join his brother in this new life? Can he give up everything he had? Can he find a new place here beside Black? Would White try? Would he think he could earn their trust? Would he be willing to stay?

Oh, this show. I love them all so much.
