Sorry for being super late with this, it was supposed to be done a lot sooner, but I keep getting distracted by life and internet BS, that and I keep coming up with new headcanons.
Anyways, here are the ones that I manage to come up with, feel free to disagree with these if you want.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Misc.
- Some Stand users need a lot of energy in order to make their power long lasting, take on various sizes or shapes, or(and this is very rare btw) make them physically appear in front of a regular person such as Forever's [Strength] and Rubber Soul's [Yellow Temperance], and will do various home activities to gain said energy. For example: The latter, Rubber Soul, who's already a bit of a glutton in-universe(and in fanart I've seen), has a tendency to carb load before his missions in order to obtain the required energy needed for his Stand's Power, making it visible and physical enough for his disguises to work.
- Via CDDH, because Hol Horse is Eastern European, he knows some of its languages there such as Hungarian and Romanian, he uses the latter to study up on the country's Vampire lore after learning that DIO himself is a vampire. The country he came from also used to be part of the Soviet Union, hence why it dissolved and became multiple countries in the 1990s.
- This is a little silly, but I'd imagine that Midler is actually her last name while her Eng dub name Rose is her first name, making her full name "Rose Midler", it's just that most of the people working for DIO calls her Midler out of formality.
- All the food stalls Steely Dan worked at are fake, hell he doesn't even have a restaurant license, but he is a genuinely good chef that makes delicious kebabs. At one point he came across(and stolen) a street food-style slushy machine during his previous trip to Thailand.
- Polnareff temporarily lost some of his memories after being freed from DIO's influence, so he didn't remember how long he'd been brainwashed at first. When he did, he was absolutely furious when he realized DIO knew that Centerfold was his sister's murderer and led him on a wild goose chase for nothing.
- I know it sounds a bit redundant but I'm one of the many people who agrees that Jotaro is autistic, he's just THAT good at masking, however you can see some signs of it via stimming by hat tilting and repeated phrases(i.e. Yare Yare Daze), treating his jacket chain like a fidget toy, his annoyance over noises and women being loud, and having a special interest in marine life and "Columbo". This also gets passed down to his Stand who's more outward about it. Jotaro also shows signs of PTSD due to the events of Part 3.
Noriaki Kakyoin
- A little small compared to the former, but Kakyoin may also have autism as well as seen in his blunt honesty, info dumpling, having a special interest in video games, odd eating habits, self-isolation, and playing with his hair noodle as a form of stimming. It's also implied that he has depression as a result of being very much alone for almost 20 years of his life.
- Via CDDH, Kakyoin was born and raised in the town of Morioh as evidenced by his name being based on a town in S-City(Sendai) and his school uniform's color and overall lax dress code(such as being allowed to keep his earrings and hair noodle). The agents made fun of him over his refusal to wear anything but his uniform even when it's summer vacation.
- He's played all the games his town's arcade has to offer under the alias "Tenmei" and wears a hoodie to avoid getting recognized by his classmates, the owners absolutely despised him for being so goated. He also spends his freetime playing video games in his room, even using his Stand as a gaming partner on multiplayer-mode.
- Aside from his love of cherries, Kakyoin's also a foodie whose tastes grew during his travels, in both the journey and his family’s holidays. He actually developed an immunity to spicy foods after one of his previous trips to China, as well as buying up some Ramyeon during his trip to Korea(he's actually one of the first Japanese people to buy Shin Ramyun after its introduction in 1986).
- Kakyoin used to own a cassette Walkman before accidentally leaving it behind in Egypt when he was brainwashed by DIO, half of his music consists of his favorite musician Sting(both solo and Police era).
- Like Polnareff, Kakyoin temporarily lost some of his memories after being freed from DIO's influence as well, so he didn't remember how long he'd been brainwashed at first. When he did, he was so angry and disgusted with himself over DIO taking advantage of him like that.
D'Arby Brothers
- T. D'Arby actually wears glasses and needs to wear them, but DIO forced him to wear contact lens because he “looks better without glasses”, it’s only when he has the night off or when DIO is out of the house that he gets any freedom to wear glasses again(It’s also a bit of a small reference to another “glasses wearing character” his Eng dub actor voices).
- T. D'Arby has video game crushes on female characters like any other video gamer, with Street Fighter's Chun Li being his most favorite, even to the point of owning a body pillow and explicit art of her on his Macintosh much to the disgust and embarrassment of his co-workers.
- T. D'Arby actually owns modded game consoles(i.e. Gameboys), as well as games that haven't hit the international market yet. He's learned how to read and speak Japanese that way(along with stealing the souls of Japanese gamers such as poor Tatsuhiko).
- We all know that both of the D'Arby brothers are American gamblers but don't know which US State they're from, so I like to imagine them originally coming from Las Vegas, Nevada, the Gambling capital of the country just behind Macau, China.
- J. D'Arby actually lives in the cafe with a two-bedroom Egyptian flat being built on top of it. The second room is treated as a guest room for visiting Agents or if his brother wants to get a break from the mansion.
- As seen in the anime and manga, J. D'Arby has a pet cat but we don't know the name or gender. So for convenience I'm going to say the cat is male and that his name is "Wildcard", to represent the cat's unpredictably and Daniel's love for gambling, it's also a reference to the 2001 album under the name by Terence Trent D'Arby, his and his brother's namesake.
DIO
- DIO is the first Crime Lord in Egypt to be of British descent, the others before him were all Egyptian and/or Arabic.
- Being Bisexual and Androgyne, DIO doesn't really care what other people call him in spite of using He/Him pronouns, but he WILL not hesitate to murder anyone for using queerphobic slurs against him. He literally killed one of the existing crime bosses in the country who called him the "s-slur", and a former subordinate of his who threatened to blackmail him for the same reason. In fact, it's this kind of bigotry in Egypt that DIO managed to easily get some followers to join him, promising safety and freedom of self-expression in exchange for loyalty.
- In spite of growing in the slums of London in his youth, DIO was understandably shocked he first discovered the number of corrupted policemen in the 1980s, even more so when he easily bribes the Egyptian police to look the other way when committing crimes. This eventually became a benefit to him later, however.
- DIO puts Nukesaku in a kennel since he can’t trust him to come along with him and his servants during their trips and holidays.
- Via CDDH, DIO practically "adopts" the Oingo Boingo brothers after their arrival to Cairo once he got wind of their living situation and Stand power, however he doesn't really treat them well as they still live in squalor from low pay. Not to mention that he's more interested in having Boingo join him than his older brother due to [Thoth]'s power being more superior than [Khnum]'s(especially since Rubber Soul can "do better"), but he still took Oingo in anyway due to Boingo being extremely shy and not wanting to be anywhere without his brother.
- DIO has two separate top 10 favorite lists for his servants: one for Agents with great Stand power, and another for Agents he has a crush on, he has Vanilla Ice, Steely Dan, and Hol Horse on the top 5 on both lists.
- DIO actually kept Jonathan's skull as a trophy and a memento in memory of him, none of the Agents(except Enrico Pucci) knew where it came from or why DIO's so attached to it.
- DIO bans his agents from playing Elvis Presley’s “In the Ghetto” in his presence under the threat of being thrown in the dungeon for 3 days because it reminded him of his crappy childhood, under the guise of “because of reasons”. Half of the agents criticized this rule as being very excessive and childish, while the other half believed that it’s because he didn’t like being reminded that his mansion’s located in the poorest part of Cairo. Enrico Pucci's the only one who knows the reason behind this ban.
- The mansion DIO lives in actually used to belong to someone else, but he and his Agents took it by force, all the money he has in the mansion was stolen via robbing people blind as well. He gain enough followers and influence, he started making connections with Egypt’s criminal underworld and was able to move up the ranks as a crime lord thanks to his own charisma, intelligence, philosophies, vampire powers, and Stand users. He owns 3 businesses that he uses for money laundering(i.e. D'Arby's Cafe.)
- In 1984, DIO took his first trip to Tokyo, Japan to see how modernized it became, at one point he came across both of its famous entertainment districts; Kabukichō and the now defunct Yoshiwara. Inspired by their business practices, he bought Sharona's Oasis, an illegal "bathhouse" in Cairo's former entertainment district Wagh El Birket and turned it into a classier establishment catered to rich clientele. This was done as part of his money laundering ring, as well as having easier access to its women for his harem.
Sorry for the lack of art for 10-11 days, I got distracted by life and internet BS again. But literally I was looking through my folder again and found some art that I drew at program but never saw the light of day again until now due to laziness or losing interest. So, I'm posting a more of these drawings here, enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Art 1: WAKE UP SLEEPY, HEAD! Agents of DIO edition
- This drawing was inspired by one of my Vines and saw everyone drawing their favorite ships or dynamics with it, so I drew it with Steely Dan and Rubber Soul, with Oingo being the one to walk in on them in an attempt to prank Dan....yeaaaaah I've been lowkey shipping them for a while no thanks to the fan artists on Tumblr and Pixiv.
Art 2: Hologram Idol
- This drawing is based on the fact that "Stone Ocean" started in 2011, during Vocaloid's golden age. Case in point; Noriko, who at that point has become Otaku savvy, wants to introduce her cellmates to "hologram concerts" via 3D model and a clear screen. Weather Report used his Stand to create some mist as a "screen" to help create the illusion that Kagamine Rin is alive, this of course impresses him and Anasui.
Art 3: The wedding photo that should've been
- This drawing was supposed to be of Medea's wedding in 1994 but was scrapped after being told by my friend @terrific-togekiss (and to some extent Jojo Encyclopedia) that this event is retconned, namely: Polnareff never met Josuke and had his legs taken away by Diavolo in 1992, so it never came to be.... But a part of me still wants to showcase it because it looks good.
Art 4: Otto Octavias/Doctor Octopus
- This drawing was due to me watching my little sister play "Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered" on the PS5 last year, DLC and all, while she was waiting for "Hollow Knight: Silksong" to come out(she never played the DLC lol). I had one of those "minor hyperfixiations" for Doctor Octopus from watching her gameplay and wanted to draw my version of him, he's essentially a mix between game and movie Octopus.

SCREAMS. I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING FOR AN OINGO BOINGO BROTHERS CENTRIC SPINOFF PLEAAASEEEE. OH MY GODDODODDDDDD
I genuinely think there's potential in the brothers getting a redemption arc of their own (and plenty of the other retired agents too! I mean we have CDDH for Hol Horse, so who's to say no one else can get one)
People cannot change overnight, that much is true... but people do change when, if constantly pressed into doing bad things, they choose to do good instead. In that regard I think a redemption of the brothers involing them realizing that Thoth saying something is going to happen doesn't mean it's going to happen in their favor. They choose selfless ways to fulfill what happens in Thoth even if it seems like it'll be to their detriment at first, but are later rewarded long-term for it! Almost like a reverse of what happened with the random guy that Oingo essentially mugged in the canon arc.
I may perhaps be biased as the self proclaimed Oingo liker but. Still. The thought crosses my mind frequently... the brothers as protagonists in their own story is just compelling to me.
Also, an unrelated addendum: I do hope me coloring the names makes submissions feel more whimsical! We need a bit more color in our lives sometimes. I do wonder how people make rainbow text, though... that always eludes me.
[IDs: 4 square icon images in pairs of 2. Both icons in said pairs have the flags listed below in order as background and the left ones have the image of mentioned characters outlined with white in order of them getting mentioned. End ID].
Oingo from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders is a butch transfem genderfluid shapeshiftgender person with autism who uses all pronouns but usually prefers she/her.
Her little brother Boingo is an autistic genderqueer person with social anxiety and selective mutism who uses they/them but only with the people they are closest with and tends to default to he/him around others.
