i shouldn’t even be surprised that you put okamori in my ask, naya ;w;
They’ve not seen each other for awhile.
That is a total understatement. Looking down at his phone, Ryutaro sighs as he ruffles his hair for the nth time. It’s one of the problems that comes when you are not in the same group as your boyfriend anymore. Then again, he muses, they wouldn’t have been together if he had continued to be part of the group.
Life unfolds in a weird way. Leaving Japan and going to Hawaii made him grow closer to the other man, even more so than when they were together almost every other day having activities together.
‘Busy?’ The pop out of his LINE messenger app flashes on his screen, and Ryutaro smiles at the name.
‘Hmm, busy is good. What about you?’ He types on his phone with practiced moves.
How long have they been just texting? Years.
When was the last time they met each other? When he just came back to Japan, maybe?
Both of them are public figures, and people are looking at each and every actions (and Ryutaro learnt it the hard way).
‘Nothing new. Just lazing around for the day with my cats.’ Ryutaro chuckles, reminded how no one knew about his cats, and how even Hikaru stayed over and not know. Watch the episode of Itadaki High Jump made him crack up so hard, and he thinks that they are just as good without him. He doesn’t fit there.
‘Sounds good to be resting, I’m still on the way home.’ His muscles are aching and he can’t wait to collapse on his bed and get his much needed rest. They are texting in English, something that they’ve done over the years at Ryutaro’s request to improve his English while he was in Hawaii.
‘Call me when you get home.’
A smile tugs at the edge of his lips, and Ryutaro can’t help but giggle to himself like a high school girl.
i took some liberty with the sentences and what it means for these. i love you <3
39.
“don’t cry,” the little boy told him, his face set in a determined frown.
he looked up from his knees, tears streaked down his face, hiccuping.
“i told you don’t cry!” the little boy started to tear up too. “i told those bullies off already so you don’t have to worry.”
“t-thank you,” his japanese is rusty but he managed to croak it out without the hiccups.
the boy titled his head, “you talk a little weird-- like my brother shintaro! you’ll like him!”
“my name’s morimoto ryutaro, what’s yours?” the boy introduced himself.
“keito-- i mean, okamoto keito,” he replied softly.
“from now on, i’ll be your protector, keito-kun!” the boy announced, holding out his hand for keito take.
30.
an arm wraps around his waist lazily, ryutaro tries to ignore it.
“when are you coming back to bed,” says keito, voice laced with sleepiness.
“one more chapter,” he insists.
“that’s what you said an hour ago,” keito practically whines, now resorted to pulling his boyfriend down to lie down next to him.
he nuzzles the crook of ryutaro’s shoulder, “the book can wait, you should get some rest.”
keito knows ryutaro relents finally after hearing the dramatic sigh from the younger.
“you’re so needy,” ryutaro shots back before pulling the covers over them properly.
keito just hums softly.
86.
it hurts.
the sky is clear, there’s even birds chirping quietly outside the building. there’s a little wind just enough it won’t be too hot.
it’s all so perfect that it hurts.
“you ready?” he asks keito, watching him fix his tie for the umpteenth time.
keito turns to him, hands gesturing to the tie. “does it look okay now?”
he musters the best smile he could at that moment and say, “yeah, it’s perfect,” he could feel the prickling signs of tears starts to form.
keito smiled at him with relief and it hurts him to the bone.
“come on-- we have a schedule to keep,” ryutaro tries to keep his voice level as he moves to walk besides keito. “you’re worse than kasumi-chan, you know.”
keito pouts visibly at that but he stares at ryutaro for a beat. “thank you,” he says finally.
ryutaro wills himself to look at him. “i’m your best friend, keito,” he laughs but it feels hollow, “i’m happy to be here.”
keito moves to bring him into a hug, “you’re important to me, i hope you remember that.”
ryutaro wants to hate him so much at that moment but he couldn’t.
so like, Moriyama is convinced that his pickup lines will work on anyone
anyone
he’s bragging about this between games at some tournament and his teammates point out that he hasn’t actually been on a proper date in over a month and he’s like “I could get a date with anyone in this room”
one of the first years looks across the gym and jokingly points out Okamura
“I double-dog dare you”
and Moriyama’s like
“done”
and he makes it his god-given mission to woo Okamura
he tries three of his best pick-up lines that very same day to no avail
he seeks out Okamura at streetball tournaments and other games
he makes any excuse to talk to him and flirts outrageously - to the point where the rest of Yosen just clusters around to watch
Okamura honestly has no idea what’s going on, he just thinks Moriyama is incredibly friendly
like
he hasn’t picked up on any of his flirting AT ALL
NONE OF IT
Moriyama is impressed but also a little stressed bc the first years are starting to doubt his prowess
he can’t have that obviously, so he keeps it up
Moriyama doesn’t start off trying to woo Okamura it for the right reasons and he sticks with it because he’s a stubborn shit, but holy cow this guy is growing on him
it reaches the point where they’ve struck up a proper friendship because of his efforts and then one day Moriyama is like ?????????
“woah”
“what?”
“I think I actually like Okamura”
“dude, you’ve been trying to get him to date you for like two months”
“yeah, but I think I like-like him”
“…”
“…”
“you’re going to have to make a sign before he realizes that”
Moriyama makes a sign
Okamura catches on
everyone else is a little confused at this turn of events but they’re already going on dates and texting each other during class
all of Moriyama’s teammates have to eat their words bc he actually did get his man in the end
for basashichigo. i keep thinking of ways to write stuff for you that never comes into
fruition even after some planning of what to write and stuff. one day i will write a proper
fic with a legit plot and cool stuff like that for you because for me, this is long overdue
but you don't need to know that ^_^;;.
this is my long due belated birthday present for you, one of them anyway (I hope).
happy belated birthday, rikotan! :3

“I saw your tweets.”
“You’re supposed to, idiot. I linked them to you for a reason.”
Chuckles. “There’s a lot of English going on.”
Sounds of sheets being ruffled can be heard through the phone. “Yeah, well…”
“Are you trying to tell me something?”
A pause. “What are you implying by that?”
“You said you linked them to me for a reason. I’m just trying to figure out what that reason could be.”
“You’re not being as subtle as you think, you know.”
“Nor you.”
There’s some giggling going on in the other line and he seethes silently in his room, his other hand stopped petting his dog. He’s thankful for the lack of visual input at that moment because of the heat creeping up his face.
“Ryuu?” The voice sounds a little unsure, a little concerned. He must’ve been quiet for a while.
“Asshole.” He finally says, in English.
“Oh, so I’m the asshole here—“
He cuts him off mid-sentence. “I was thinking!” he says it a little too loud, surprising both of them and sends his dog running towards the door.
He’s not saying anything, the silent way of urging him to continue. “Well, I was thinking, maybe, if you’re free, we can… take a trip to… England,” even putting together the sentence in his head feels embarrassing, mentioning something from years ago. “I mean, if you want to, of course,” he quickly adds.
This time, it’s his turn to stay quiet.
“Keito? Say something!” He never said he’s a patient person.
“I can’t believe you would ask me that,” he can feel his face heating up again and was about to say something before Keito continues, “We’ll see when our schedules match. I won’t let you forget this promise.”
He’s ready to throw the phone on the wall because, “you’re cheesy in both languages,” he replies.
This time his laughter is unrestrained. It’s a nice sound, he notes. “I’m going to blame it on it’s being late in Japan right now.”
“Not buying it for a second.” He thinks he heard a yawn and feels a little guilty for keeping him up.
There’s a comfortable silence that follows afterwards.
“You… you should go to bed. Isn’t it late?”
“Hmm, yeah. Have to wake up early tomorrow.”
“D-don’t forget your promise, okay?!” he blurts out.
“I won’t if you don’t. Goodnight, Ryuu.”
“Night… Keito,” it feels a little cathartic, finally.
okamori. hospital au. trust me woman, brb I am gonna spam your ask.
YOU WANTED ANGST WOMAN
Dr. Okamoto doesn’t know how he fell in love with the boy in room 624 who has been unconscious ever since he was admitted to the hospital three years ago. All he knows is that the younger boy whose face just screams to be looked at and whose hands just screams to held at caught him and kept him and will take him whenever he would go.
Dr. Okamoto doesn’t know how he could do it, how he could finally turn off the oxygen of Patient Morimoto’s after years of only relying it and Dr. Okamoto also doesn’t know out that Patient Morimoto was the kid he played with at the park back when they were only 7 and 5 years old (and he will never know).
i tried woman -.-
and also i solemnly swear that i will finish all the prompts tomorrow |D (because i’m about to sleep now lol)
