Did I just spend half an hour hunting down access to the first episode of the new Samurai Troopers series that didn't require signing up for bullshit? You bet your ass I did.
Did it take seeing one of the new toys in a BBTS email to remind me/tell me when it was releasing to realize it was out? Yes. Yes, it did.
*drums fingers, waaaaaiiiiiiting* This is totally taking me back like twenty years, getting new anime via the high seas. LOL!
...wonder if I'll have to add subtitles. 🤔 Time to hunt those down, too, just in case.
The Shape You Left
I don't remember you all at once anymore just in fragments like a song I can't quite name but somehow still hum
There's the way you laughed head tilted back like you trusted the sky not to drop anything heavy on you I think that's what I loved most how light you made everything feel even me
Sometimes I remember your hands not what they looked like but how they made sense of mine like they'd been there before and were just coming back
I try to recall your voice but it slips turns into echoes in empty rooms or conversations I replay just to hear you say my name again like it meant something
You live in small things now a passing scent a stranger's smile that almost fits a song that hits too hard at the wrong time
And it's strange how someone can leave but never really go how you can take everything with you and still leave so much behind
I don't miss you loudly anymore it's quieter than that now more like a constant, dull remembering the kind that settles in your bones and refuses to leave
You're not here but the shape of you still is
And sometimes when the world goes still enough I swear I can almost fit back into it
