"Stop it! It tickles" and " Take. It. Off" with platonic prinxiety or analogical?
17. “Stop it! It tickles”
The two sides sat on the couch in the common room froze, and watched as the side that was being called by a very angry sounding Virgil ran in.
“What did you do this time-” Logan cut himself off as he realized Roman was wearing Virgil’s hoodie.
“Why.. did you take his hoodie? More importantly, why are you wearing it?” Logan asked.
“No time to explain, nerd!” Roman yelled as he dove behind the other couch.
“I swear I’m gonna kill you, Princey!” Virgil yelled as he ran in. He stopped once he saw that Roman wasn’t there, and turned to the others. “Where is he?”
Patton sighed, and pointed to the other couch.
“Just don’t hurt him, please.”
“No promises, dad.” Virgil grumbled as he knelt on the couch, and peered over the back at Roman. “Get over here, asshole.”
Roman jumped up, and swung over the couch onto the floor.
“Let’s just talk about this, okay?” Roman pleaded as he backed away.
“No. Take. It. Off.” Virgil demanded as he backed Roman into the wall.
“If you insist.” Virgil said as he grabbed the hoodie, and tried to pull it off. As he did so he accidentally brushed Roman’s sides with his fingers.
Roman let out an involuntary giggle, and immediately slapped his hand over his mouth to suppress it. Virgil froze, and smirked.
“Don’t get any ideas, Virgil.” Roman warned as he held his hands up to keep Virgil at bay.
Virgil ignored him, and started tickling him mercilessly. Roman shrieked with laughter, and tried to push Virgil off to no avail.
“S-Stop it! It tickles!” Roman yelled in between laughs.
“No shit, Sherlock. That’s kinda the point.” Virgil rolled his eyes as he continued to tickle him. “You gonna give me the hoodie, or am I gonna have to do this all night?”
“F-Fine! You can have your s-stupid- ahh-h-hoodie back!” Roman yelled then finally managed to push Virgil off.
Virgil stepped back, and held his hand out. Roman glared at him as he shrugged the hoodie off his shoulders, and let it fall to the floor. Virgil groaned as he snatched it off the floor, and walked away to sit on the couch.
Logan and Patton exchanged a look then looked at the other two.
“So, what was all of that about?” Patton spoke up, and looked at Virgil who was putting his hoodie back on. He noticed some weird marks on his arms.
Roman groaned, and sat on the couch Patton and Logan were on.
“Emo nightmare over here wouldn’t-”
“Roman. Don’t.” Virgil cut him off.
“Oh, come on! Please let me tell them! It’s cute!” Roman begged.
“I don’t want them to know. Just like I didn’t want you to know, but you don’t know how to mind your own damn business. And no it is not “cute.” It’s embarrassing.” Virgil grumbled.
“Now, Roman, if he doesn’t want us to know we don’t need to know. Let it go.” Patton cut him off in his stern dad voice.
“I agree. He has the right to keep certain things to himself. We only need to know if it affects his or Thomas’ well being.” Logan added on.
“Fine.” Roman huffed in defeat, and crossed his arms. A weird silence fell over them then. They stayed like that for a little while.
“I draw, and write on myself.” Virgil said so suddenly that it startled the other three.
The three exchanged a look, and didn’t say anything which made Virgil nervous.
“That’s really cool, kiddo! What do you draw?” Patton cut him off so he would know they weren’t weirded out, and wouldn’t put himself down.
Virgil smiled a little, and stood up to sit next to the others. He then pulled up his right sleeve, and showed them his arm. Little messages, and doodles of things like glasses, crowns, flowers, ties, band logos, dogs, and cats were scattered all over.
“Aw, Verge! They’re all little things that represent us! That’s so sweet!” Patton squealed as he gently grabbed his arm to observe the doodles closer.
“Y-Yeah, I uhh.. They.. um..” Virgil trailed off, not really sure how to explain his little coping mechanism to them.
“Help you cope? Provide comfort?” Logan asked as he met Virgil’s gaze. Virgil smirked, and nodded.
“Well, I agree that is quite adorable.” Logan smirked back.
“Okay, let’s not make this any sappier than it needs to be.” Virgil chuckled.
“Wait this still does not explain why you were ‘wearing’ the hoodie.” Logan said as he looked at Roman.
“He had it off, and I saw his arm so he freaked out, and tried to put it back on. I wanted to see what the doodles were so I snatched it away. I only put it on so it’d be more difficult for him to take it back.” Roman explained then looked at Virgil. “I’m sorry for doing that by the way. It was wrong of me.”
“Whatever.” Virgil shrugged, and pulled his sleeve down. “You guys were bound to see them, and get curious eventually.”
“Still. He should have been nicer about it!” Patton interjected, and gave Roman the stern dad look.
“I know, I know..” Roman said as he held his hands up in defense.”I truly am sorry.”
“Whatever. Come here.” Virgil said as he scooted closer to Roman then pulled his sleeve up, and pulled a sharpie out of his hoodie pocket.
“What are you..” Roman trailed off as he watched Virgil start writing on his arm.
Virgil smirked, and popped the cap back on once he was done.
Roman looked down to find the words “I’m kind of an asshole,” and a little doodle of a crown scrawled out on his forearm.
“Hey!” Roman chuckled, and pushed Virgil playfully.
“Consider that my revenge.” Virgil laughed, and laid his head on Patton’s shoulder.
“Ya know, you guys are pretty okay sometimes.”
lmao sorry for the abrupt & shitty ending i didn’t know what else to do
anyway yeah i have this really cute headcanon that Virgil secretly draws things that remind him of the other sides on himself whenever he’s especially anxious cos he finds comfort in them but doesn’t wanna admit it
