It’s time we learn the power of our mother in her dances. We spent just a few hours with our fabulous friend Cynthia @ladylorenew who has studied Orisha dance, singing, drums, music everythang. She’s just a fabulous multidisciplinary artist who videotaped us. In the few hours we spent together we really got a lot o information to mull over. Like how does a Queen enter into the room/space? What does it feel like to embody that? Oya is far seeing, how would she gaze at you? How would she stand? The angle of her head? What does power feel like from your feet to the top of your head? Whew, And the intricacies of each movement that are not difficult just a matter of practice. We are so grateful we had this movement date and we are so excited to further develop our Orisha dancing and singing. More importantly we can’t wait to dance for Oya. A year ago on March 31, 2016 I traveled to Belmar Beach to pay respect to Rebecca E. Johnson #Oludumare #Eshu #Ori #Orunmila #Obatala #Yemoja #Olokun #Ogun, #Osun [Male], my #Eguns and yesterday was no different. See, the entire year I have been protected by Oludumare, the Orishas, Spirit, Egunguns, Eugene Edo and Dimitrius Johnson and the weather was not a factor for them so it was not a factor for me to go unconditionally to pay my respect so I did. I arrived at a time when the ocean plus the wind was whupping me but I stayed to pay my respect. As soon as I left the shore it stopped raining and the wind died down. I would of posted yesterday but the phone took a beating and stopped working until now. Ashe, Axe, Ache y Ase. (at Belmar, New Jersey)

The Yoruba contend that the study of nature is foremost. Nature is viewed as the manifestation of Oludumare's Essence through degrees of material substance. That essence, translated as ashe, is the inherent force of all creation. The emphasis of such study or worship is not centered on the physical object or tangible, but on the life-force energy that brings about its form. The tangible object is but a symbol of the eternal existence that bore it.
