“Adam lived in a small flat above st agnes church, it was a fortuitous combination that centered Roman’s worship in a singular downtown block.”
God there’s something so beautiful in Ronan (the explicit catholic of the series) falling in love with a guy called Adam Parrish who is inexplicably tied to a forest. The parallels between Adam Parrish and the Adam of genesis with the first of Cabeswater standing in as the garden of eden genuinely send me around the bend. That idea then proposes that Ronan, who created Cabeswater, is God in that situation.
Ronan is a god fallen so far in adoration for his favourite creation that he’s come round to worshipping it.
