On day two, with the meager supplies Luffy had messily thrown into his “boat” already depleted, they'd spied a small island in the distance. Or more accurately, (y/n) —who'd taken to using a roll of paper like a telescope—spotted a bit of green on the horizon and Zoro and Luffy rowed so fast they'd gotten to it before the end of the day, even though they were moving against the wind.
Zoro was determined to get real supplies, but they found no people on that small outcrop of rock covered in greenery.
But what they did find was fruit.
And though Luffy complained loudly about having no meat to add to the supply, they loaded their ship with as much fruit as it could carry. Though quickly after disembarking they discovered that the boat was not buoyant enough for their entire harvest. This was much to the distress of the two possessed eaters of the cursed fruits, who both flew into each other's arms in panic as the ocean began to slosh up the sides of the boat.
They'd had to throw near half their supply off before their dingy stopped sinking and spent another few hours pailing water out. It made Zoro wonder how Luffy made it to the first island at all, if getting possessed by a devil fruit made you sink like a hammer. They were so weakened they hardly had the strength to lift their hands.
While y/n sunbathed to dry since she insisted that her papers were soggy, Zoro asked just that question. Luffy just shrugged and said it was where the wind took him, like that wasn't the most obtuse way to travel the ocean.
And that was how their adventure, just the three of them, started.
To call the first week of their journey 'long' would have been to underestimate the difficulty by miles. What he took responsibility for first, as the only capable alpha on the crew, was protecting the omega. That much he could tell himself was fine—only because it was his duty. That was enough to quiet the voice of his hind, which since seeing her hadn't allowed him any rest until he'd come to this compromise.
It was just the right thing to do. Nothing more.
Though they all set out as inexperienced sailors, she was obviously ill suited for life at sea. At the very least he could make sure she didn't sink into it, since Luffy was fool enough to let her along. Honestly, he'd expected her to be little more than dead weight. Nice smelling dead weight which made being adrift at sea with Luffy less unbearable of an absurdity, but nonetheless mostly useless.
Firstly, she was an omega. She wasn't strong in any sense of the word. She couldn't lift much, admitted she couldn't protect herself, and could hardly tug the rope hard enough to turn the sail.
Omegas in general were probably better suited for land than sea. One, as far as Zoro knew, they were healthiest living in a stable territory and not running all over the world. Two, they were emotional and he didn’t want to deal with someone who couldn’t keep up with the stress of seafaring. Three, they had their heats. And while an alpha could work through a rut, heat made an omega practically useless and would distract anyone else with a nose all the while which would only be dangerous for them, along with everyone else on the ship.
Those three reasons were good enough to leave her on land, Zoro thought. And within a few days, Zoro found out she fit all those categories. She seemed uneasy on the dingy—though they were all uneasy on the dingy, since it was so small. And her scent was already a distraction to him heat or not, which he grumbled to himself about.
Not to mention that when she was overwhelmed by any strong emotion, she also had a tendency of fainting. And since she ate the paper-paper fruit, fainting included her entire body collapsing into a single sheet of paper which would drift to the deck with a comedic swaying. But however funny that was, laughter stopped when the wind threatened to take her into the air like a kite and drop her into the ocean.
Having to snap her body out of the air and gingerly hold her down until her mass bounced back only highlighted her frailty. He’d expected her to begin begging to be let off at the next island and he’d never have to see her again.
Yet, in the face of hunger she was the last to complain and the first to cut her rations smaller to share with him and Luffy. That kind of self-sacrifice (especially when she did it for him) made the hind in him preen. Though Luffy more often than not snapped up Zoro's portion before he could eat it. It didn't matter that he'd snap and call Luffy a hundred names, because Luffy would just smile his signature shit-eating grin. And that would just leave Zoro grumbling alongside his empty stomach.
Yet, he didn’t forget.
He couldn’t not notice that she was watchful too, and always on alert. Even when she wasn't on watch, she was still on look out, and every day she earned her totem a little more. And when she first turned her head all the way around to survey the ocean, he'd nearly fallen out of the dinky in shock. By now he'd gotten used to it—and he would never never admit he’d done that.
While they were lost, she looked for land. And somehow remained as optimistic as Luffy when days passed with no sign of life as far as the eye could see.
Though Zoro couldn't help but point out the ridiculousness of their situation, loudly and snappishly as the hunger set in and their fruit supply evaporated. Had he not been so fresh off the high of feeling full and free after being rescued from the pike, he would have cared more about where they were going, with who, and how. But by the time it all became an obvious problem; it was too late to do anything more than complain.
And as much as he wanted to complain about her too, the words would stick on his dry throat.
He’d cough. He’d splutter. Something in him choked it down, so he was stuck with these feelings. He noticed things (he couldn’t miss them if he tried!) but tried not to look often. Though after they were settled into their dingy, there was nothing to do most of the time except stare out at the open ocean and watch seagulls dive in the water. So, he watched her form the corner of his eyes, and pretended like he didn’t.
Zoro'd always admired birds. Their entire bodies were like a weapon, and they lived free as the wind they sailed on. Every bird had three potentials for attack, beaks for striking and their talons for slashing, so of course he appreciated their ferocity. Even the smallest bird had the potential in it to utilize the ultimate three-prong fighting style.
The more he grew to know his new crew mate, the more the description owlish seemed to fit. She had big saucer eyes that he'd noticed the first time he'd seen her. But what he came to learn was that when she surveyed a room, she did so with a slow, measured movement. Gliding her head back and forth like he'd watched owls do when he was child, training too early in the morning out in the forest behind the dojo.
Or when she tilted her head to the side to focus all her attention, it was in a funny owl-like way. And when she blinked it was always slowly, with a shuttering kind of motion that stopped with a click before they went wide again. She kept watch the best of any of them too, because he had the habit of falling asleep on his shift and Luffy was too distractible to stay still for any length of time.
That's why he'd taken to calling her Owleyes.
Maybe when he first uttered that nickname, he should have realized there was something special brewing between them. He could have picked any name to call her. Even if this one suited her, it was still a sign.
Not only had he admired birds all his life, the last three years on the sea he'd spent chasing after the ghost of the Hawkeyed Man, who was the current uncontested best swordsman in the world. Of course, he was only uncontested because no one had bothered to duel him in the last decade. Nonetheless his skills were renowned. Zoro was intent on crossing blades with the man and proving himself to be the best swordsman alive.
How had he not noticed that in a single afternoon a new bird had perched itself up on the throne which was his highest aspiration? The first was huge and terrifying. A hawk of legends with piercing eyes that could slice a mountain in half with a sharp glare.
And now another, comparatively miniscule in size, hopped out from its shadow. A tiny fluffy thing really, with big curious eyes watching him oh-so carefully and he had a burning need to not flinch from its attention lest it fly away as quickly as it appeared.
Yes, he was smitten right when he saw her.
If he'd admitted that to himself then he might have been saved a good deal of trouble. But Roronoa Zoro was not a well-known swordsman because he avoided trouble, or even tried to prevent it. He was renowned because he often crossed paths with trouble, encouraged it even, and then beat it to a bloody pulp.
Troubles of the heart, however, were a completely different set of enemies than the kind he was used to. A type he had no idea how to approach. He felt tempted in the worst way, like she was born to destroy his discipline and he refused to lose it. And as he considered his predicament under the unrelenting gaze of sun, he remembered an adage he'd overheard in a bar a few years back.
It was a story about the making of man from an old islander legend. The body was made of mud, given life by the sea, and given spirit by the sun. But as the sun rises and sets, man's nature was also given two sides, likened by the old drunken men who'd relayed this story, to wolves.
One was the obedient, learned wolf of the day, which could be taught many tricks and behaved to the expectations of others. The second wolf was wild, the embodiment of the animal nature and all its savagery which hides until nighttime. It was the soul of man, with these two wolves always by his side, that decided which aspect of his nature to feed.
The obedient wolf, or the wild one.
As much as he tried to starve it, a desire was growing in him. And when he dreamed of the relief her loving touch might offer him, the wild wolf feasted.
This was not to be misunderstood, however.
The obedient wolf was no less enraptured by the honey of what could be, even if it didn't want to utterly devour her piece by piece in an ugly, selfish way. He was not a man easily tamed and even the so-called domesticated side of his nature was stubborn and mulish. But for her, he would turn belly up and eager for whatever of her attention he could steal for himself, though he'd die before admitting it.
And honestly, if they didn't find food soon, maybe they would die and he'd never have to acknowledge it. That might just be for the better anyway…

A vicious blindside; the amateur villain appeared before unassuming U.A. students expecting an easy fight. Little did that dumbass know who they were dealing with.
(Bakugou Katsuki will forever be a loaded weapon, waiting to fire.)
In the cloudy rubble, he spies Kimiko: his classmate's hero suit is torn. A small, bloodied circle on her shoulder, reddened and irritated, sets off every red flag in his alpha brain. The wind billows in his direction, causing his nostrils to flare.
That... scent.
Saliva fills his mouth involuntarily. His chest constricts, shooting to his groin. No fucking way. Anyone but her.

Sketches of my transmigrator oc that gets into an Omegaverse BL
Tsukishiro Iori toyhouse profile
or if you want to read info under the cut
Character's name hes transmigrated into: Tsukishiro (月城) Iori
[first letter is a capital i ]
Original name: Watanabe Haruto
While he's in this other world i will only refer to him as Iori to make everything simpler
Iori height: 5'9"
_________
Doesn't know shit when he first dropped into this world.
'Where's your nest?'
Iori "Tf am I? A bird?"
________________________________
Others perceive him as very sad omega.
'Poor thing never learned to nest'
'He don't know how to pack bond or be scented in!'
Meanwhile He's chilling spacing the fuck out while the others chatter around him.
Iori Is disgusted though when there's ' a weird smell' (scent from another) on their bedding or area when said person tried to encourage bonding/friendship. Backfiring on said person immediately.
Just a gut instinct reaction, tears the top bedding away in disgust and to go wash hands.
hes immediately ripping that nest up and throwing the materials off the bed he mad as fuck, get that shit off his bed.
He's so bad at being an omega.
So bad others are starting to think he might be a feral omega [even more pity points].
Probably gets nerf effects because he's not doing things that help omegas like social structures and pack bonding and scenting and nesting. After all it doesn't matter he came from a world without omegaverse. He's here and now does have the hormones and social eyes on him expecting him to act like an omega. Though whats confusing him most is the fact he didn't know this was omegaverse due to how the writing [conversations] were less in his face! He almost thought he was having a stroke- okay maybe not a stroke, he's not sure if sudden heat flashes and a weird feeling were stroke symptoms or if it was more akin to a burst organ. He's new to all this and worst of all finding how painful pre-heat symptoms are [it would be lessened if only he had a pack and community or at the very least a trusted alpha to help scent his nest. He is unaware of this requirement.]
[because this was a story written under the presumption you knew what the fuck omegaverse was! He didn't. He doesn't. and he curses his friend who was the fan of this everyday after when the truth reveals itself.]
raised hackles whenever others get too close and touchy and then really its a literal issue for himsef cause hes not fufilling his life like wtf u spawn in already with omega depression.
____________________
And keeps not tracking their heats keeps forgetting he's on a 3 month cycle- every 3 months here comes a heat changing with the season smh
Many form their own ideas of Iori being a case of extreme childhood neglect or abuse or isolation that many cant figure out just how 'bad' it must have been for them! oblivious to others preconceived notions. Keeps thinking others are weird and too pushy.
Keeping his own scent close and and so controlled because Iori didn't realize expressing scents is a thing one is more inclined to do like matching facial expressions to body language and thus seems even more closed off to others too because he rarely releases his scent.
To smell their scent one has to be close.
Also the reason of gut reaction disgust at the other trying to encourage scenting is because they've gone so long in this body its almost like an attack on the senses. Being an omega is hard when you reject so much of what is needed.
When omegas gone too long that any foreign scent on their things feels like an attack, an invasion of territory.
A lone omega unheard of but not impossible, everyone can be alone.
Triggers a panic like response when not expecting the person to do such a thing so a lot more instinctual bodily response
This is how Iori feels constantly with how others near are 'breathing down their neck'
I.e. trying to make the sad lonely omega 'feel better'
In his original world Haruto had small group of friends and the day before he transmigrated he was letting his friend talk his ear off about this latest BL they found. He was ignoring the hell out of it, just nodding along sipping his drink. If he knew he was going to transmigrate into the damn thing he would've paid attention!!! He curses the monkey paw that got him here. Metaphorically. What got him here is- well he can't remembered actually. All Haruto recalls is he blinked and now...he's in a totally different world. No truck-kun? no mortal painful death to cry out against the gods? kind of a rip off isn't it?
his favorite game to play was the drum rhythm game with the double sticks
As soon as he woke up, realizing he was different in a completely new area, he went to a mirror to find out who he is
- has no idea who he is.
- recognizes by virtue of pink hair man he's in a bl. as he quotes "Any guy with pink hair in media means he's gay! and the bottom!"
-this was not a character on the main cover he saw his friend had so who is this?
-not very straight that the next thought is ' i don't know how to bottom' and not 'im not gay tho' suspicious.
he transmigrated into should be a video game? He thinks? or is this a novel with a system? Haruto's confused. a lot.
where he was the 'hidden route'/hidden character after the routes were unlocked after the player would have done multiple play throughs [hes not the player just explaining the supposed game]
just the type of hidden character where theyre a spy/lore connections of past with one or more of the pack around since he just 'showed up' [transmigrated and got found immediately piss poor spywork dude if that is his job...in his defenes he doesnt even know hes supposed to be spying or who hes supposed to be with working]
his system has to drag him around like a flopping kitten bro is failing someone help this stories about to change too drastically atp
=like roll for bluff/persuasion and he just is barely getting by acting aloof he thinks hes acting cool guy, he just seems kinda pouty tho to the observer so its even less respect he gets
compared to the og goods who could look aloof and cold much better.
i think its funnier and can make him last longer that he still gets by through just bluffing shit out of the way with the spy stuff, just say something he thinks is worthless and then its like oops that was a vital thing to know that the leader would always leave exactly at 6:34 am every morning for thirty five minutes to breach and invade quick in and outs
like okay, he didn't think that was too important cause the guy never acted like it was covert
accidental good intel for what theyre looking for rounda bouts

Chapter 1 (WC 3722)
Summary: Superman meets the omega he has been smelling for around a year at most of his fights that has evaded him.
Goslyn locked up the back door of the shop and walked through the alleyway to the front to catch the bus home.
Suddenly, the energy around them shifted almost painfully. They ran to the sidewalk and looked up. They knew that energy, the person it always was: Superman, the pack alpha of Earth if there could be one and a paragon of good. They stood outside the storefront and wait, searching for any sign and trying to sense the ripple of causality wherever Superman goes.
They see him, flying through the air on his back. Blood drains from their face and their heart sinks as he draws closer, able to see the tears in his suit. “No,” they whisper. They run, able to estimate the trajectory of his fall. The streets rumble under their feet as they pound the pavement looking for his collapsed form. They can feel the ripples he causes by just being him and near as a second skin. A second block down, they see his disheveled body in a crater of broken concrete and asphalt. “Oh,” they breathe. People are gathering, taking pictures and videos. They pull up their gaiter over their mouth and nose and pull their baseball cap down a bit. “GET AWAY FROM HIM!” They yell at the forming crowd, lacing omega voice in the command. Most of them run away, surprised by the voice as they stop at the edge, peering down. Slowly, they climb into the crater and work to pull Superman’s unconscious form out. Once they pull him on to the unbroken pavement, they look around and drag him over under an awning. Able to keep visual of anyone nearby and possible danger. No new ripples have formed yet but you can feel the ones from him haven’t quieted down yet.
Placing their hands on his chest, they close their eyes and whisper, “Shadows shroud and cover spoor.” If anyone was looking, they’d see them fade into the shadows of the awning but no one does. Goslyn works to half carry the unconscious alpha as they look around for a solution while repeating “tanning salon, tanning salon, tanning salon” to themself. They see across the street what they’re looking for and cross the road, trying not to lose their grip on the hero. “You need to wake up, Superman,” they grit through their teeth and set him on the sidewalk in front of the closed tanning salon. Looking around, they take out a fine point sharpie from their pocket and begin to write around the lock on the door: P(A|B) = P(A ∩ B)⁄P(B). After putting the pen away, they set their hand over the equation and lock, looking at Superman. Their eyes flash gold and the front door lock clicks, unlocked. They grin excitedly until they look at Superman. They take the few steps over to him, checking his pulse and breath sounds. Both are still there and seem steady. Cupping his cheek, they whimper. “You need to wake up. I wish I knew your name, even just your first name. I’m certain I could wake you then.”
The usual sounds of crisis and danger, police sirens, are heard in the distance. Lessening the intensity of the ripple for now. When can police take care of beings that can hurt Superman?
A ripple suddenly screamed across their skin, vibrating their insides. Their heart pounding in their chest as a sudden boom is heard followed by a roar that echoes through the streets.
Goslyn took his hands, pulled him into a sitting position before turning and squatting, pulling his arms over their shoulders. With a death grip, they stood up and trudged into the salon, reading the labels of each bed until they found the only UV output bed. They let him fall into the open tanning bed. Slide him fully inside, closing it, and turning the machine on full blast.
The ripple grew in intensity, making them feel nauseated. They began to examine the machine, older compared to the rest, and took out their phone searching how to break the machine to increase uv output. When they read several articles all saying basically the same thing, they exclaimed, “Fuck.” They didn’t have the knowledge to do it.
Tears began to form in their eyes, took Superman’s hand, linking their fingers, and pressed their forehead against his knuckles as if praying. “I don’t know what else to do,” they whispered as the ripple’s intensity burned across their nerve endings making them want to scream. The uncertainty felt as if it was blistering and scorching their insides. Biting their lower lip to prevent them from screaming, they looked out of the see-through unlocked front door to see a huge metal-looking humanoid walking down the middle of the road. The metal being raised its left arm and a loud noise emit before a fiery explosion and car alarms went off. Hot tears fell down their cheeks as the humanoid left their vision. They stood up, let go of his hand and grabbed their sharpie but paused, unsure what to do to actually help him.
The necklace around their neck moved. Putting the pen away, they pulled the necklace out revealing an almost palm size thin blue gem with writing in another language. Goslyn knew the words. They knew the meaning: May the stars guide you to the truth. May the sun shine upon your heart and reveal all. The words dwelled in their mind, making them suddenly wonder. “Sun shine upon your heart,” they whispered. Quickly, they took off the necklace, raised the tanning bed door to place the amulet in the middle of Superman’s chest only to close it again. “Please work. Please work,” they begged, taking his hand between theirs as they kneeled, resting their forehead on his forearm.
Crunching was heard nearby, broken pavement and concrete as another roar of Superman is heard within feet of them. They silently wait, heart pounding in their chest as blood roars in their ears. Goslyn felt something break in their mind upon seeing the metal being that injured this alpha, their omega growled within and it left their throat.
A pained groan is heard next to them, startling them. “Superman,” they gasp. He pushed the tanning bed lid open. “No, you’re not fully healed yet,” they informed, not allowing an argument, and closed the lid again.
Superman’s concerned blue eyes met Goslyn’s red rimmed eyes, noticing how brilliant of a green they were. Curious what kind of green they are. Their eyes flash gold and Superman’s flash red, their omega and alpha confirming comparability
As he inhaled, he recognized the scent. The omega scent that he’d been smelling at nearly every single battle within Metropolis over the past year or so. He’d been searching for the mysterious omega. At first, to deter them from running into danger, but soon, found their scent becoming a comfort to him. Found himself missing them when they weren’t there.
“We are hidden for now. No one can find us or scent us,” they explained before looking at the metal being walking past the store again.
“How?” Superman questioned, looking at them from under the lid.
Goslyn chewed on their lower lip. “Magic?” They offered, trying to smile only cringing instead. He laid his head down, staring at the UV bulbs, and sighed heavily.
Ripple upon ripple of causality crashed against them as the metal being distanced themself away from them. They suddenly whimpered, huffing in pain, squeezing his hand, eyes squeezed closed as they curled in on them. Prickles of sweat formed in their dark blonde hair and forehead. Immediately, Superman opened the lid and pulled them towards him. They easily went between his legs. He let go of their hand and held them by their biceps. With his X-ray vision, he saw no damage inside, only their circulatory system in overdrive. “What’s wrong? What’s happening?” He begged, gently holding their arms.
His alpha demanded he soothe and comfort the distressed omega. When the alpha wrapped his arms around the omega, the burning extinguished within them. They relaxed in his arms and rested against his chest. “What did you do?” Goslyn whispered surprised.
“I didn’t do anything,” he replied.
Slowly, they looked up at him. Their eyes searched his face and their hands gently rested on his chest. “You…you…solidified the ripple.” They were confounded.
He searched his mind, trying to understand what they were talking about. A distant roar rang through the air. It would have to wait. The noise knocked Goslyn aware. They realized their necklace had fallen off of him and looked down for it. Picking it up, they smiled and kissed the inscription.
“What’s that?” He asked, peering down at the gem in their hand.
“It helped heal you.” Their eyes went down to his torso as Superman’s eyes read the inscription. It’s in kryptonian. He made a mental note to come back to that. “You’re not fully healed.” Their fingers touched an inch or so around a partially healed wound on his side. He hissed and looked at it. He needed help but knew JL was on the other side of the globe. He’d have to figure it out himself.
“I can help you, support you in battle,” they offered. He pressed his lips thin as he looked down at them. He struggled between wanting them there and keeping them safe. His alpha wanted them safe.
“I’m Goslyn, by the way. It’s nice to officially meet you, Superman.” They gave him a quiet smile while putting the necklace on and tucked it under their T-shirt.
“Nice to meet you, Goslyn,” he greeted. They gave him a warm smile and nodded.
The two stood up at the same time. Superman is much taller than Goslyn but they don’t seem the least bit intimidated. “Got a plan?” Goslyn queried. He chewed on his lower lip as he looked around to what could be useful.
“I know you want to move them away from the city but this area has been damaged. He’s metal, right? Or at least the suit is. Maybe electrocuting him could disable him?”
“I tried lightning when he first showed up,” he pointed out.
“Oh.” Goslyn was getting their footing back as they thought. With a smug smirk, they took their sharpie out. “I think I can help. Be still for a minute.” Superman quirked a brow and watched them lean forward watching them. They pause their pen from his chest as they try to decide which formula would work better. “Sorry, I’m trying to figure out which probability formula would be better for this situation.”
“Probability formulas?” Superman queried.
“It’s one of the ways I do magic. Look, this could be Bayes’ theorem or binomial probability distribution. Bayes’ is about calculating probability of an event based on conditions that might be related to the event while the binomial probability distribution is exactly the number of successes from a number of trials. Maybe a conditional probability formula would work better?” Superman listens as they wait for Goslyn. “I think you’re overthinking this,” he observes.
“I probably am. Stress does that. Wait, I know,” they say as their face lights up and grins before writing a continuous probability formula on his suit: Fx(χ) = P(X<χ). “Mwhahaha,” they said with a wide, toothy grin. “There. That should help.”
Superman smiled at Goslyn in a way that seemed so sweet and almost goofy that made their stomach flutter. “Ok, let’s fly while I charge that up.” They put their hand over the equation as they concentrated. He began to feel warm and tingly but good. He wrapped his arms around them again, keeping them against his chest as he slowly lifted them both in the air. Goslyn closed their eyes and forehead against his chest. He carefully flew out of the tanning salon, his alpha calm and happy with the omega in his arms even though they were going into battle.
“You okay?” He wondered into their ear as he kept his eyes on the ground while listening for the man. “Yeah,” they quickly replied. “You should be good.”
Inhaling sharply, they pointed over Superman’s shoulder. “That way.” He shifted his grip on them, holding their neck and head in place as he sped and turned.
“You can just feel it?” He inquired.
“Yeah.” They quickly replied without further information.
“How do you sleep?” He curiously asked aloud.
“Depends on what’s happening. Small common occurrences I’ve learned to ignore, but big stuff? It wakes me up. The uncertainty is painful,” they apprised.
Superman stops suddenly, absorbing much of the energy of Goslyn stopping too. He looks down at the woman before him. “You run into danger because if you don’t you’ll be in physical pain until the event ends?” He was gobsmacked by the explanation.
Slowly, they lift their head to look into the worried blue eyes of this wonderful man. “Sounds about right,” they agree. Superman slowly shakes his head, frowning. “One thing at a time,” he states, confusing the person in his arms. He continued on, easily finding the metal being.
He places Goslyn into an alley, wanting to keep them from harm. They follow him out with pursed lips.
“Superman! I see you brought a friend,” the metal man jovially spoke with a European accent.
Goslyn tilts their head, examining the suit. “What the fuck are you?” They state.
“I AM THE GRAVE DIGGER!” He yells.
Goslyn stares at the man incredulously for a few seconds before exchanging a look with the superhero next to them. “I was scared of this guy. Oh my god.” They scoff, rolling their eyes.
“Give me a minute and I should be able to help,” they whisper.
The grave digger’s feet erupted rocks, flying towards the duo. Goslyn rolled out of the way as Superman flew upward allowing the grave digger to pass by them.
Slowly standing up, they eye Superman before taking a step towards the enemy. “You have got to have the most jankiest power armor I’ve ever seen. I mean if you’re gonna make power armor then make power armor. This is just made of scraps. Grave digger, my ass. More like the gardener on bad drugs?” They insulted him. They glanced up at Superman, with wide eyes, giving a single nod towards grave diggers. He flew at the man in armor, landing hit after hit.
Goslyn moved off to the side, realizing that he just needs to take out the power but the question is where. Despite how it looks, well made with some reinforced or man made metal. A wave of exhaustion hit them causing them to lose their footing, falling in their side, scraping their hands and arms.
When a rock of cement came flooring threw the air, Superman got up from his place in a wall and began to fly to them when Goslyn raised a hand and spoke, “Testudo.” A geometric clear dome formed over them that looked much like a dome of connected rectangular shields. His eyebrows rose into his hair line and a goofy lopsided smile appeared on his lips. “I can take care of myself. GO!”
Superman returned to the fight, focusing on one place to it again and again until he could hit through where he pried the metal suit open like a can opener. He twisted the man up in his own metal as Goslyn used their burner phone to call the police. Hanging up once they began to ask for witness information.
The shield remained up as Goslyn remained sitting on the ground. He flew over and set down, examining them with his X-ray vision finding nothing physically except a sprained ankle. The moment the shield came down, he could smell the exhaustion and some pain from them. He quickly and carefully picked them up, causing them to yelp.
“I can walk,” they complain.
“You also hide yourself so this seems the easiest and quickest,” he explained. Slowly, they nodded as they thought about it.
“Where do you live? I’ll drop you off,” he offered.
They chucked. “This seems like a weird date for some reason.” They grinned and giggled into their hands.
“I can see what you mean,” he agreed. Goslyn directed him to their crappy flat in the kind of dangerous neighborhood.
He set them down on their fire escape. Goslyn opened the window (it wasn’t locked). Superman went in first and helped Goslyn in, making sure they didn’t step on their sprained ankle.
“You need to stop. Give me a day and it’ll be healed,” they apprised as they limped to their couch, toeing their shoes off before throwing them towards the front door. “I’m a Metahuman, Superman. That’s what science calls us after all. If we ain’t typical, we ain’t human.”
“That’s not true,” he disagreed.
“Might as well be. I can’t be myself out in public and neither can you, or you wouldn’t need to dress up with your family crest on your chest to be labeled as Superman by the Lois Lane.” Leaning back on their couch, they patted the seat next to them. “You need to rest and recover. The sun won’t be up for another eight hours. You're welcome to stay here if you’d like.” They shrug.
“Thank you but you should sleep” He walked over to the couch and sat down.
“I don’t know if I can.” They shrug and look at their unmade bed. “I was so up and down and trying to keep us safe while you recovered, stupidly thinking that asshole was more than he was.” They pause, inhaling deeply before looking back at him. “My anxiety is through the roof.” Superman’s eyes saddened, worried at their words. “It’s part of the job. I’m so tired that I’m either gonna lose my shit and destroy half my flat when you leave or just crash wherever I’m at.”
“You helped me when you—“
Goslyn interrupted. “I always help wherever I can. That’s just what I do, man. I can’t help it. It doesn’t have to be a ripple. It can be someone needs a lift,” you begin with a warm smile. “It can be someone not having the right change or being able to pay to get on the bus. If I can help, I will.”
“Your parents must be proud,” he gently observed.
“I’m sure they are, er, would be. They've been dead for a decade, at least, each,” you reveal.
“I’m sorry,” he offered his condolences. They shrug.
Goslyn begins to blink more than they have all night. “Can I call you something other than Superman? It doesn’t have to be your real name. I know superheroes all have secret identities and shit.”
He gave them a small smile. “Kal,” he informed.
“Kal?” Goslyn’s whole face light up. “Thank you, Kal.” He has no idea why he told them that. He knows it won’t lead anywhere since it’s his kryptonian birth name but still. When she says his name though, it makes his chest feel warm and his alpha wants to purr.
“You’re welcome, Goslyn.”
He furrows his brows as he remembered. “May I see your necklace?” They immediately pulled it out of their shirt and held it out while still attached to it.
He carefully took the gem, a dark blue, etched with kryptonian text. “Do you know what it says?”
“Yes,” they inform and speak perfect kryptonian aloud of the words on the stone. Smiling, they continue, “It means—“
It was Kal’s turn to interrupt Goslyn. “May the stars guide you to the truth. May the sun shine upon your heart and reveal all.”
Their eyes became wide as saucers and mouth dropped open. “How did—“
“It’s kryptonian,” he informed.
“What?” They squeaked. “That’s your native language?” He nodded, a quirk of his lips revealing how amused he is.
Goslyn slowly removes the necklace and lays the chain in his hands. “I’m sorry, Kal. I’m not aware that anyone in my mom’s family knew.” They looked at the necklace, sadly. He placed it back around their neck, carefully laying it over their chest, respectfully.
“What do you know about it?” He shifted, turning towards them.
“I don’t. I’ve always known the words and the text. It’s in a lullaby my mom used to sing to me. It’s only those words that have been passed down.” Goslyn yawned unexpectedly and then yawned again. Kal stood up and held out his hand. Goslyn took it and he walked them over to her bed, sitting down and patted next to him. They chuckled, sitting down next to him.
They yawned wide and gave in, crawling up the bed and laid down on the bed. Looked down at Kal, they patted the bed. “You’re welcome to lay down. I trust you.”
“You don’t know me,” he stated.
“Actions speak louder than words, Kal. I also know you make mistakes. You’re flawed like the rest of us or I’m certain you wouldn’t have needed help against that asshole,” they chuckled, their eyes feeling heavy, as they removed the necklace to place it on their nightstand.
He slowly crawled up the bed, still in his suit, and laid down, a few inches from them.
Reaching out, they touch just under his eyes. “You have the most unique blue eyes I’ve ever seen. They’re gorgeous, Kal. I love eyes. They say so much and people rarely ever realize it.” He has the urge to take their hand in his but ignores it.
He huffs a laugh. “What do mine say?”
“You’re good. You’re kind and sweet and giving. You love to take care of others, wishing you had someone to take care of you too,” they tiredly observed. “That’s also in relation to your actions.” They snuggle into their pillow and shiver. Pressing their hands against his chest, he pressed his hands over theirs.
“You’re cold,” he realized, wrapping an arm around them, pulling them against him. Humming at the warmth. “How are you so warm?”
“Always have been,” he quietly stated. Goslyn hummed acknowledgment. Their eyes closed, nuzzling into his chest.
He looked down at the sleeping omega in his arms, realizing that his alpha and him wanted nothing more than to mate them.

Chapter 1
When Wade came home with the Wolverine, it didn’t truly shock Goslyn but that’s how they acted since it was obvious that was what Wade expected. Goslyn didn’t really care. Finding out he is an alternate universe Wolverine doesn’t surprise them. They were more curious about the AU Wolverine than anything and Wade absolutely loved their universe’s Wolverine, so why not?
When Wade informed his partner that he invited Logan to live with them, Goslyn rolled with it. It’s the fucking Wolverine. Why not? So, it was up to them to give boundaries.
After dinner, they set down ground rules for living with them and Logan easily agreed, finding them common sense more than anything. Goslyn advised roommate expectations which is a laminated legal-sized paper with daily and weekly tasks that are assigned in a rotating schedule each to all who live there. Logan was glad that he could help out while Wade worked with the TVA to figure out Logan’s identity and finances in this universe.
Logan was given a room of his own. Goslyn gave him a set of travel size toiletries for the night. He was thankful and wiped up. Wade had laid out clothes in the bathroom, lending his biggest clothes that he had for Logan to sleep in and wear.
They were a bit tight but comfortable otherwise. Goslyn giggled at Logan coming out in a Hello Kitty shirt.
Wade remained still, tensing slightly as he saw Logan in his clothes and mentally wolf whistled while keeping his face neutral.
“Wade, you ass; give the man one of your hoodies,” they chuckled while looking at Logan.
Wade was plastered to Goslyn’s side on the couch as they rubbed his bald scalp, whined lowly and got up, heading into their shared bedroom.
“He does that sometimes,” Goslyn explained sympathetically about their boyfriend. “Wade is a big flirt with a big heart; he doesn’t think he is a good person but he is. He cares deeply for all his friends and loved ones. You moving in means you are too now. Be careful with him and he will be careful with you. Just ask and he will give you the world.” Goslyn smiled at Logan. Logan was shocked at the vulnerability and sincerity Goslyn spoke. Needing to process it, he gave a single nod and remained silent. Goslyn walked over to him, stood on their tip toes and gave a quick peck to Logan’s cheek. “Thanks, peanut.” They quickly returned to their seat on the couch as if nothing happened.
Wade came out and handed Logan a navy blue, baggie hoodie before heading back to the couch and cuddling back up to Goslyn who didn’t fight when Wade picked them up to set them on his lap. Logan saw Goslyn quietly smile before pecking a few quick kisses to Wade’s cheek as he wrapped his arms around their smaller frame and buried his face in their dark strawberry blonde hair. They return to rubbing Wade’s scalp, wrapped their a around his shoulder and continued to read their book.
Logan took off the shirt, tossing it at Wade with a smirk before putting on the hoodie. He noticed Goslyn’s face turning pink. Wade sputtered with a pout, grabbing the shirt off of him before directly ogling Logan’s fat tits and covering Goslyn’s eyes. Logan rolled his eyes at them. Goslyn snorted and pushed Wade’s hand out of the way. “No fair. Why can I see the hot shirtless guy?”
Wade glares at them. “He isn’t just a hot shirtless guy, baby. He’s got his man tits all out. No one can ignore their glory.” Goslyn busted out laughing at Wade’s poetic compliment of Logan’s pecs. Logan hoped to hide his heated cheeks due to the strong worded praise.
Once Goslyn could calm down enough, rubbing their nose against Wade’s before addressing Logan. “Logan, the bed is made up in the other room with fresh sheets and a blanket. If anything smells or feels weird, let me know. I’ll see what I can do,” they informed him, trying to find something else so the boys don’t end up fighting.
“I’m sure it’s fine, darlin’,” he thanked. “Though I think I am gonna hit the sack.”
“Ok, honey badger. Sleep well and don’t let the bed bugs bite!” Wade called as Logan walked to the bedroom, ignoring Wade. “There are no actual bed bugs!” Goslyn made sure to add.
Goslyn giggled and smacked Wade’s bare arm. “You dork.” Lean f forward and rubbing their nose against his. “I missed you.”
Wade rubs his nose back against theirs. “I missed you too, Gossie-bug.” Goslyn giggles at the nickname.
In the middle of the night, Goslyn awakens to rapid breathing, high pitched whines, and hesitant grunts. They looked around their room, checking on Wade first. He does have nightmares but not as often as he used to. They hear a stuttered inhale, and get out of bed towards the noise. Walking out of the room, they head over to Logan’s and listen at his closed door.
“N-no,” Logan whispers as if in pain. Goslyn being Goslyn walks through Logan’s door, not wanting to disturb Logan, and makes sure they remain invisible. Slowly, they approach him, making sure he is not injured somehow. As far as they can tell, he isn’t. They corporealize and touch his arm, shaking it weakly. “Logan?” They whisper.
All they get from him is more grunts and hitched breathing. They lean over him, able to see him clearly in the dark. He is covered in sweat and trembling. They can smell the bitter, acrid scent of fear in his sweat. “Poor baby,” they quietly coo.
Petting his hair, they lean down. “Logan, it’s just a bad dream sweetheart. Wake up.” When their other hand rests on his left shoulder, he immediately sits up,
still between sleep and awake. His claws come out and he yells, punching them into Goslyn’s chest with a grunt. After a few more seconds, Logan realizes what he’s done and retracts them, tears falling down his face freely. “I’m- ‘m sorry”
Goslyn tries to comfort him, petting his hair, “I’m fine, Logan. Really. They’re just clothes.” They cup his cheeks, bending down slightly to meet his gaze and place a lingering kiss on his forehead.
Logan examines their chest and sniffs the air. No smell of blood means no injury. “How?” His sleep-rough voice rasps in question.
“I’m…a shadow…and light,” they explain as if that answers everything.
Logan scowls with a raised brow and deep furrow between his brows. They giggle. They look at the lamp, reach out their hand towards it and take the lamplight into their hand. Closing their fist, the room falls back to darkness. The darkness around them comes alive and Goslyn disappears from the bed.
“Where’d you go?” Logan inquired, looking around the room.
“Darkness is just the absence of light, sweetie,” Goslyn apprised but their voice seems to be coming from all around him. “And I can make darkness and light whatever I want them to be.”
“Oh,” Logan exhaled, beginning to understand.
Goslyn walked out of a dark corner with a smile towards the bed and “took out” a broadsword. They held it out to him with both hands. “It has the same properties and more as a regular broadsword.” Logan took the weapon, examining it. It doesn’t have a smell but he can feel its weight and its sharp.
“Try with your claws,” Goslyn encouraged. Logan frowned at them. “Go on.” He protracted his claws and swiped at the blade of the sword. They easily went through causing the blade to fall apart and disappear, returning to darkness.
“I can do a lot with it. I can go anywhere there are shadows and darkness. I’m still getting the hang of light. I should be able to do the same with light but it’s hit or miss right now.”
They snapped their fingers and the lamplight returned. Logan looks at the lampshade seeing the brightness from within with wide eyes. After a few seconds of silence, Goslyn walks around the bed and crawls in on the other side under the blanket.
“What are you doing?” Logan queries, feeling uneasy.
Goslyn paused their movements. “I’m getting in to cuddle you to help you get back to sleep, silly. Is that okay?”
“Won’t Wade be mad that his girl is in bed with another man?” Logan questioned, brow raised and scowling at them.
“No, he won’t. And for the record, my pronouns are they/them, but Wade does call me his girlfriend in addition to his partner,” they apprised. Scooting closer, Goslyn put their hand on his bicep. “Now, I’m my own person as Wade is his own. We trust each other. I need you to trust Wade and me to know what is and isn’t ok with our relationship. Can you do that?” Goslyn leaned forward with their brows raised high.
“Y-yeah, I can,” Logan agreed, the tension easing some from his shoulders.
Goslyn smiled and continued to move on the bed, next to him. “Scoot down a bit for me, sweetie,” they gently commanded when next to him, wanting to hold him. Logan wiggled down a bit as Goslyn wrapped their arms around him, directing his head on their shoulder. They began to card their fingers in his hair and their other hand carding through his thick chest hair. “You’re very soft,” Goslyn observed with a smile. “I didn’t expect that.”
“Thanks.” Logan held himself, worried about his weight being too much.
After a minute and Logan not relaxing, Goslyn quietly commented, “I’m stronger than I look, Logan. Your adamantium-plated skeleton isn’t going to be an issue for me. Please try to relax. I’m happy to give you a back massage if that would help more.”
“I’ll, uh, try,” he slowly agreed. He scooted a bit closer to them, fully turned on his side and laid his head on their right breast. He laid his arm across their waist and made himself relax. Goslyn placed a kiss into his hair before snapping their fingers and the lamplight went out.
“Wade will be jealous of me because I got to snuggle up with you and he didn’t,” they informed cheekily. LWe’re both very touch-oriented people. It isn’t personal. It’s just one of the ways we show our affection towards our friends and family,” they educated.
“Ok,” Logan quietly accepted, filing it away for later; certain it will come back to bite him in the ass.
It sort of did the next morning.
Wade woke up the next morning to a cold, empty bed and frowning. “Goslyn?” He questioned sleepily out loud. Getting out of bed, he went to the bathroom to do his morning ablutions before continuing his search. He looked into the kitchen, living room, their office, and finally in Logan’s room.
Slowly opening Logan’s bedroom door, he sees Logan and Goslyn entangled. Wade gasps dramatically, hand on his chest. Logan jerks awake at the noise. His motion disturbs Goslyn who begins to awaken. “How dare you cuddle up with the Wolverine before me?” He pointed an accusing finger at Goslyn. Logan surprised Wade was upset at them and not him. Goslyn was right.
Goslyn quirked a sleepy brow and looked extremely unamused. Sighing heavily, they whispered in Logan’s ear. “You’re gonna have to give him a hug or something to get him to shut up.”
“No,” Logan quietly informed, still hesitant to come between them. Goslyn frowns and grunts with a displeased huff at his refusal. “Please?”
“No,” Logan stated matter-of-factly.
What Logan didn’t say is he takes a while to warm up to physical affection and he was not there yet. Women were easier to accept physical affection from than men for him.
They roll their eyes and sit up to deal with their boyfriend. “He had a nightmare, mister potato head,” Goslyn pouted, rubbing an eye.
Logan snorted at the endearment from Goslyn to Wade before getting a smack in the back his head from them that actually moved his head.
Before Wade could say anything else, Goslyn continued. “Logan is our friend and roommate. I did what I do for you and Dopinder and Peter and Ness whenever they spend the night. I’m not going to treat him any differently.” Wade pouted, pushing his lower lip out at them, leaning in the doorframe in the Hello Kitty t-shirt Logan had worn and now with matching booty shorts.
“Would some kisses help you feel better?” Goslyn softly proposes.
Wade pretends to think about it, looking away and tapping his cheek. “No,” he pouts his denial.
“Then I’m going back to sleep because that’s all I got right now. It’s too early,” Goslyn complains and lays back down next to Logan. They cuddle up against him and close their eyes.
“Hey, Darkness! It’s 7:30 in the morning.” Wade points at the window which is black. “You’ve stolen the light again, sleepy bunloaf,“ Wade pointed out.
Opening their eyes, they sit back up and purse their lips at him in thought. Keeping eye contact as if having a staring contest. A sudden knowing smile appears on their round feminine face. “Go walk your dog, Papa,” Goslyn commands just in time for Mary Puppins to bark, woken by the commotion. They duck down to hide their giggle against Logan’s bicep.
“You got me this time, coppah,” Wade submits with a cheesy 1940’s mob-like voice before turning around and picking up Mary to play with her.
Logan can feel their grin against his arm and looks over at them with a raised brow. They don’t see him but snicker suddenly. “He’s so funny.”
Ah, Logan thinks to himself. His humor. Laughter is a good medicine for many things. He shifts slightly towards them, drawing their attention to look up at him. They inform, “I’m gonna go back to sleep. Cuddle some more?”
Logan smiles and nods. He sees their dynamic is, surprisingly, healthy and honest if this argument (?) is anything to go by.
“Sure,” he easily agrees. Goslyn smiles. “I’m the big spoon. Roll over, peanut.” That’s the first time they’ve called him the same endearment as Wade. Oh, boy. He obliges and feels Goslyn scoot up, their head on his pillow. They push an arm under his arm, wrapping around his pecs letting their hand lay loose. They throw a leg over his hip, causing him to chuckle. He settles back and relaxes a bit back on them. “There we go. All comfy,” they state matter-of-factly. “You good?” They ask.
“Yeah,” Logan advises. “All good.” Goslyn squeezes him before relaxing against him.
Goslyn falls back asleep while Logan remains awake. After their breath evens out, body fully relaxed, and remains for a few minutes, Logan carefully rolls over, keeping Goslyn’s arm wrapped around him, enjoying the comfort and safety. He feels a bit overwhelmed at their easy affection and reminding Wade of such. Wade didn’t yell or attack him. He just accepted Goslyn’s words and reminded him of past actions. It was strange to see—was it a fight? They easily resolved it without much issue. Goslyn even tried to offer him some affection. He chuckles quietly at Wade’s reaction to their offer. Logan knows he would have easily taken it.
He looks over Goslyn’s face, seeing subtle laugh lines, brown freckles covering their whole face, brown eyelashes, and pale pink lips. Their face is round, hair falling in their face. Wade is very lucky to have such a kind, compassionate, and beautiful partner.
He inhales deeply, smelling their sweet, warm woodsy scent with hints of flora and their own natural musk. It reminded him of omegas from his universe but omegas don’t exist here, right? Wade’s peculiar scent was on them too—leather, gun oil, hints of lily, and a sickly sweet. Weirdly, they seem to compliment each other. He could smell his own scent on them but nowhere near as strong. His alpha wanted him to scent mark the omega but Logan chose not to, worried that could be offensive. He relaxed, watching them sleep for a while eventually dozing himself.
