Hi, I'm a big fan of Omegavision, probably one of my favorite fanfics, I've reread it several times and every time I feel a lot of things.The first time I read it I had never heard of the Truman show so everything was very new to me and I loved it. You left an open ending, but do you have more to say about the story? Not necessarily what happened after the end, but those details of the story that only the author knows

Oh man I loved that one so much and had so much more to it but the deadline for the fic exchange came up so fast and the ending was rushed 😭

So I had plans and every intention to finish the part two but I don’t know that I’ll ever have the motivation to finish it. But the plot for that was that Louis goes through a bunch of lawsuits with the Tomlin network and ends up being awarded a lot of the profits from all the merch and royalties etc and damages. Louis and Harry then they take that money and use it to start seeing the world. The part two picks up in Paris where Louis lets the world into selective parts of his live vlog style since he’s come to understand what watching his life meant to so many people. And it follows them through the next few years of Louis deprogramming from the show and leads up to Harry’s proposal, wedding, bonding, main life milestones, etc.

What else would you like to know? I’ve always loved this verse

Hi, I'm the anon who posted about Omegavision! I loved that you answered my question and said what happened to him ☺️ How do you imagine the world's reaction to the lawsuit against Tomlin Company and the way they chose to live? In the story we get a part of what Harry's life is like after leaving the reality show, what was people's reaction to Louis? How was their relationship with their family, especially Louis' family? I asked about people's reactions to Louis but I forgot to ask what do you think it was like for him to live outside of all that reality for the first time?

I think the lawsuit would be heavily covered with people on both sides of the argument. In the truman show, it became such a constant in people’s lives that there were cafes built around the show and people who kept it on 24/7. I think there would be a lot of people depressed with that loss and be upset with Louis, or probably Harry, for taking that away from them. There would also be people who would argue that it wouldn’t be safe for Louis outside the controlled town. I think there would be a LOT of back and forth debates on major talk shows and in real life. It would be a polarizing topic with the other half wanting Louis to be able to live a free and private life. Because of that, I think there would be a lot of polarization over whether or not louis suing was a good or selfish thing for him to do. In the end, I feel a court would rule that a corporation did not have the rights to adopt him in the first place and exploit his life. The Tomlin network would probably try a smear campaign against Harry that would be mildly successful.

I went back and forth about bringing in Louis’ perspective within the show. I think his relationship to his parents on the show wouldn’t hold much weight once everything was out in the open. He’d quickly see what a sham everything was and I don’t think he’d continue to view it as his real family. His parents would probably move on to other jobs etc as harsh as that sounds or bank on writing a book about being “the first omegas mom”. There would be a LOT of deconstructing for Louis and his first years out would definitely be a struggle. He’d have to do things on his own and realize that everything didn’t just fall into place in the real world. With product placements and sponsors etc, his childhood would have been very charmed. It was a huge adjustment for Harry even and he didn’t have that 24/7 like Louis. It would be similar to leaving a cult and reshaping his view of everything around him.

I think it would take a long time before Louis would be comfortable taking parts of his life public again. There’s a lot of reasons why he would choose to do it his way, but one would be stalkers. To have his entire life broadcast live to NOTHING, there would be a lot of people stalking his every move for updates and clout for information. It would be difficult to live like that. To take it into his own hands via vlog-style content, he could control what and when things were shared.
