I've been on a mission all day to find a 2in flat headband as a base for my sword stabilizer. And I had this whole rant planned out about how stupid puffy headbands are. For you see they're in fashion and that's all there is. And I was getting bitter about it.

And then I caved and bought one to see if I could at least work with it. And.....the sword stays put perfectly...and it doesn't hurt my head as much...and fine.

I can't even complain that it still looks stupid. Because when I curl my hair and leave it down it's also poofy. Take my stupid approval you dumb poofy headband.

So I may have found my way in for my Hannibal season 2 AU fic in terms of getting it to connect to canon (still doesn’t solve my problem of figuring out just how AU I’m going in the mid/later parts, but I suppose I’ll deal with that as I get there).  The bad news is it might require me to cut/rewrite some of the early scenes that I had, or at least move the snippets I’d written into cold storage to be recycled where possible.  I’m not sure how much I’d lose of what I’ve already written vs. how much could get shuffled into later scenes or, worst case scenario, possible future fics.

on friday afternoon, for no reason and without warning, i lost the ability to send email! 

i searched the web and found nothing! i initiated a chat with comcast that lasted for over two hours - ending with them resynching my email and was told to try again in 3 hours. i did, and big surprise here - IT STILL DID NOT WORK!

they were super nice and i did not give them a hard time, but since i am using thunderbird, they were not able to help much - despite the fact that it was their site that kept telling me my password was wrong!

so today, i chatted again - for over an hour!  we went through the same things as on friday, and i also changed my password. i can log onto the comcast site to get email okay, but still not working in thunderbird.

i searched in desperation to ultimately find that i could use my domains outgoing email server, which i did not know i could do!  i was under the impression that having comcast as my provider  meant i had to use their smtp server - HOW WRONG I WAS AND HOW HAPPY I AM THAT I CAN NOW SEND EMAIL AGAIN!

other things are still crappy ( ie: the hubby :\ ), but one catastrophe at a time!

Fucking finally ! I found the right feathers with the right size and the right shade of blue !! Only took me 8 months and many many many orders to find them... Now what am I gonna do of that hundred feathers of the wrong size and shade...

That moment when you re-read your sources and realise there isn’t a gap in the record of the correspondence in question; the guy just didn’t write anything for five months because he was busy on a military campaign (and it was Christmas, and presumably Easter).

I’m sleepy and hungry and sore for some reason, but I don’t feel like fixing any of those issues.

Except maybe the hunger, but I’m crashing at my mom’s and they’re asleep and there’s nothing to ea- I HAVE A SNACK IN MY PURSE NVM
