So, OneMV is gone.
One thing I don't talk about much is how I hate the idea of information disappearing from the internet. OneMV is somewhat emblematic of this - literally, as "One Man's View", his contribution to the discourse was uniquely his own, and learning to appreciate different points of view is a valuable experience for everyone.
I respect OneMV's decision to leave, even to delete, but the thought of losing what was essentially a 7-year catalogue of his life experience didn't sit well with me.
So I backed it up, as best I could. It's extremely rough and encoded in layers of HTML, which in plain text makes it nigh unreadable - and that's just the text posts - but it's there, and it's sort of workable.
Someday soon I'll be out of this academic rut I have found myself in. Maybe I can start reposting some of his best insights.
