I'm reading a hockey romance book (I know) and the one protagonist keeps whining how everything*good* is always taken from him (only that he has an amazing NHL career and soooooo many good friends and, of course, because we need one badass female in every mm book, a loving sister). And I *want* to get mad how unrealistic this thinking is but then I remember all the NFL and NBA Stars whining about how their earnings of 100 Million aren't that much actually because they have to pay for four Houses three Yachts and then cars they were forced to buy at gunpoint and couldn't someone give them free tickets for worlds because they really can't afford it??? And then I think that author is spot on. That's exactly what an NHL Superstar would think because he got traded by one Team.
And then I think of Mitch Marner and him still whining about the rookie bonuses and I think that author might even underdo it.
Anyways the progatonist is as insufferable as his sister, Mitch Marner and those nfler and nbaers combined and I hope he gets dumped by his slightly less annoying boyfriend.
