Summery: A guardian angel has been always with Iruma since he was young, of course he didn't know that. Helping him out from time to time. When things got bad he always managed to get out unharmed. Little did he know that this specific entity was not even from the human realm and is a very different being than Iruma had ever thought.
Warning: might be mistakes, english isn't my first language, please enjoy!
It didn't take long for the angelic demon to return to a sleeping Iruma. All tucked into his bed. A proper bed for once and she could only smile at his relaxed face.
Patting his fluffy blue hair she hummed him a song, one she hummed to many demons before him. Never did she imagine that one day it would be a human of all things.
But you can never know what the future holds. Each time it can surprise one. Even her who has seen many things.
Morning soon came and Iruma was send off to school with a perfume that would hide his identity, and a lot of photos for Sullivan of his newly acquired grandson.
Seeing Babyls which holds many memories with her last demon king. The acedamy sat comfortably on the enormous mountain, it's spiky buildings giving one of familiarity to ⧼Y/n⧽.
"Such wonderful memories here." She floated next to Iruma happily twirling in the air then lowering down to his level. "I can't wait to make new ones with Iruchi!"
The auditorium was lound and busy like always. Many demons of all sizes and species gathering in one place. Again a wave of nostalgia hit ⧼Y/n⧽. "I should get used to that. Not gonna be the last time I remember the good times."
Looking around she soon realized how many of the students surrounding Iruma were somehow more aggressive than the rest. As the poor boy could only clutch onto his pants sweating from head to toe.
"Now now... " a small flick was returned to the two demons who were hungrily foaming at their mouth's. "Don't cause trouble for my little honor student." On cue both the demons head were anywhere but the boy.
Confused but grateful Iruma began to calm down, but now came the school song. ⧼Y/n⧽ could only shake her head while laying on her back. "This song is sooo outdated. And that's a lot coming from me, Sullivan should really spice things up once in a while!!"
She complained fist in the air while yawning. Then came Sullivan the principle on stage, the angel could practically hear her little humans thoughts.
Resting two hands onto his shoulder and releasing a relaxation gas only for him to at least not get a heart attack. Iruma soon calmed down even after the principal showed the picture they took this morning and displaying it for everyone to see.
"I'll be handing out copies latter." The always so joyful Sullivan said ending his speech. Which wasn't really one, just showing off his grandson.
Next was the school representative. Who was a pink haired demon which the invincible women noticed the strikingly familiar look. "Time sure does fly."
But of course it wouldn't be a normal day for Iruma since he was a magnet for misfortune. So instead of the pink haired one Iruma aka the honor student was to give a speech.
Shaking her head ⧼Y/n⧽ only sighed looking at a happy Sullivan who was holding a camera. "Why do you torture the kid. He's been you're grandson only for a day." She poked his bald head a few times. But made sure he couldn't actually feel it.
As Iruma trembled in front of the many students she looked at the piece of Invalope that was placed onto the stool. Following his grandpa's instruction he opened the letter to see a long word?
She clapped her hand together. "Oh how fun! I love this one it's so funny seeing everyones reactions!" She laughed like an old crazy lady, then reading the spell with Iruma. She in a sing-sing voice, while the boy without any emotion rather focusing to not mess up.
She had to hold back her laughter while the peoples jaws were on the floor. At the end everyone cheered screaming even for Iruma who was oblivious for a second before getting a prief explanation from a teacher. That what he just recited was a forbidden verbal spell.
Forbidden or not ⧼Y/n⧽ could not deny that she has used many in her lifetime. And let's say that is a long time to be alive. Even is she was a completely different creature.
"On the first day of school! I know I'm not gonna have a boring day with you." She laughed while floating besides the boy who was so lost in thought, he mindlessly followed another student who required his presence. Unknowingly steeping into a death match.
A shot of fire was sent his way and Iruma dodged effortlessly, or more like it was indented into his mind and was an automatic response for danger.
Introducing himself formally Alice Asmodeus begins his speech about being more worthy for a speech than an honor student. "I mean seriously it ain't that deep."
"I'll have you prove whether you really are stronger than me!" He declared fire in his eyes and hands. "Demon to demon!!"
"Well that second part is a lie." She laughed like a hyaena. She only learned that after being in the human realm for so long. Never knew her laugh resembled such a funny little creature.
Iruma dodged every blow that was sent his way. "That quirk you developed on your own is perfect for survival in the demon realm." Y/n cheered by the sidelines. With pon pons that appear out of nowhere.
While everyone was going crazy over the battle which only consisted of Asmodeuses fiery attacks that burned everything in its way. And irumas perfectly dodging and bending out of the way of certain death.
So no one noticed how a girl almost was hit with a fiery sword. Y/n smiled warmly as Iruma hugged the pink boy from behind and begin to bring him down to the ground with himself.
Only at the last second the speel activated by itself making the human bend his back and slam the demons head into the ground. In a German suplex style, on cue a heavenly light came opon the two. The clouds opening up just for this moment alone.
Y/n slammed her hand onto the floor next to them. "1! 2! 3! Hes not getting up!" Blowing a whistle she grabbed irumas hand as he only watched in dazed expression while everyone once again went crazy with excitement.
"Irumas the winner! But thats no surprise." Seeing his hand was up in the air Iruma quickly brought it back to his side and picked up the injured demon. While running to a nurse apologizing profusely.
"Still has a golden heart." She zapped to his side petting the unconscious boy on the head. "Never change iruma." Now ruffling the blue haired one.
She patted the two with a smile.
╌╌╌╌╌╌╌╌╌╌╌╌
"People work fast." She inspected the newly posted story that was already framed and printed out by non other than Sullivan himself. "But Sullivan works faster. Why is it already framed?!"
She scrambled her head ruffling up her hair. The guardian looked almost as distraught as little Iruma who was worrying for a complete different reason.
It didn't take long for Asmodeus to barge into the room with a menacing aura. And walking over to the human and bowing? On his knees and everything.
"It is demon custom for the defeated to serve the victor." He was glowing with pride looking up at the still in shocked boy, still not being able to process the whole day.
"Using a forbidden speel, having a fight, winning said fight which ended up in the school paper." She listed on her fingers to no one in particular. "Now a subordinate, and it's only been the first day!"
She chackled, full on hand on stomach while flying above the three. A proud smile on her face showing absolute pride.
"I must say, your gonna be the most interesting ruler of them all Iruma."

this is the world, and it shall greet you by the hand
in which Ingo is infected with a malady and Emmet meets a god
Her warden is afflicted with a malady she cannot place, nor doctors can identify.
Lady Irida stands before a man, reduced not to a pitiful state, but to a state of serene agony. At least, it looks like agony to her.
Warden Ingo, the tenacious man, seems to not be bothered by this affliction. Rather, he seems to accept this unholy illness, this aforementioned malady bestowed upon him. The cysts and spikes of black litter and jut out of his skin, like crystals from rocks or plants from dirt. They puff out of the rough, battered surface of him, embedded like the roots of persistent weeds. This malady is rough like scales on a lizard. Removing them seems abjectly painful, so they had stopped trying since the screaming was too much on his throat and too much for her to bear witness.
The warden laughs it off, however, ignoring the soreness and dryness of his voice, a cough cutting off his words. Lady Irida can barely stand for it. For all her pleading to the Almighty Sinnoh and gods above, this affliction never lets up. It never retreats, it never recedes. It worsens with time. When it comes time for her to realize that he is unfit to be a warden any longer, she tries to demote him, oh, she tries. It's Lady Sneasler that objects and she cannot bring herself to refuse that face, those eyes.
The warden, Ingo, oh dear, Ingo. He just laughs with a smile that is never shown, his chest seeming to flare his pain any further. He scratches Lady Sneasler behind the ears, and Irida can see him wince. Ingo laughs like he has to everyone who has wept for his malady. He is frowning, but he is smiling.
When Akari or Rei, Irida isn't sure which name they really go by, hears of this incident, they laugh in the same way, muttering something about dragons. Bless their heart, not them too. Before they were banished, they cursed time and space and left with nothing but a bag and their conviction.
"Lady Irida." It wasn't a question, but it sure had sounded like one.
She turns and spots the warden sitting up in the cot they've boarded him in. Her chest fills with a clump of rocks and they weigh heavy on her shoulders. Ingo looks worse for wear, his malady filling the space of his back, his arm, and the right side of his face, peeking down the side of his leg as well. His infected hand taps on his leg for a few seconds, Ingo ignoring his own flinches of pain.
"Lady Irida," he says again and her hands crumple nothing in them. "The moon is nice, no?"
Ingo had been harbored in a cot for nearly a year, and only near a window for 3 months. He was moved when he requested so; it proved to be too boring to be kept in such a boring room with no sense of time. If you asked Irida, it wasn't going any better. If anything, the condition has gotten worse. Ingo is covered in black, and it blends into the night, hiding like those memories of his.
"Why do you ask?"
"Is it not nice to make small talk?" He sighs and swings his legs over the cot too fast. Ingo makes a sharp noise of pain and waves off Irida when she nears. "No, there is something that I wish to tell you before this maintenance on my cab is completed. I… I."
Ingo stops and his mouth makes a thin line, bent slightly downward. His left hand is motioning before it drops. A laugh escapes his mouth. "I remember… I have what…"
Irida's heart stops.
"My memories have found their home station and I'm going home."
Irida's heart drops.
"This malady that you all have called it was simply rerouting them back to me."
And Irida's heart shatters.
Her eyes widen and stare at the man in terror? No, fear. Fear for what? She doesn't know, but it's fear nonetheless. This is it. This man has gone mad. Is he blind to the pain, blind to his affliction? Irida stands in listless horror; her legs cannot move.
"Lady Irida," he says a third time. She watches the malady grow on his body, a much more rapid pace than it's ever been. Her legs are paralyzed, her arms like weights. She blinks and the more she blinks, the more the scales grow. She starts blinking faster, ignoring that aforementioned fact dawning upon her. She collapses to her knees and clasps both of the warden's hands in her own.
"Warden Ingo. Ingo." She punctuates her desperation with his name and no more words fall out. His good hands slips out and caresses her face oh so gently. "Ingo…"
"I have a brother and I must make it back to his station."
Irida's thoughts fly and she thinks back to all the times he's talked about such things. In these things however, it stands true that she knew he felt incomplete. It always looked like he was missing one half of a whole, a chunk of his life missing, and it wasn't just his memories. Whatever this illness that had been brought upon him, one thing is clear.
"You've dedicated your life to him…" she whispers.
"We've dedicated our lives to each other," Ingo corrects.
He lets go. The scales and cysts climb over his body, crawling like spiders and worms. Yet, it doesn't look as ugly or as painful as it was to Irida anymore. If anything, it looks rather comforting. She reluctantly recoils her hand.
Ingo laughs, with a smile, a real one this time, and shifts to look at the moon. Well, it looks that way to Irida. But, something tells her that it was to the scales. The light peeks through the window and Irida hears the last of his words before he is gone.
"You know.., you were always my brother's favorite."
A voice she cannot identify responds.
"I am Zekrom. And I know."
The blackness swallows him whole.
–
"What is your ideal?"
"My… ideal?"
Emmet stands in the entrance of his balcony in the small hours of the night. He is still dressed in uniform, still being half of a set. He blinks and looks side to side. He points to himself.
"Me?" he asks, his tone flat and tired, his neck craning upwards.
The being before him nods. "Yes, you."
"Oh…" Emmet trails off there.
His ideal? His ideal should be obvious, no? From his constant conspiracy boards to the late nights of crying to the utter despair he had found himself since the beginning, it should not be so hard to deduce what he wanted. And he knows that this being should know too.
"I am Emmet. You are a god. You should already know that huh?"
The god laughs in a booming roar. "Yes, yes, of course. But hearing it from you should still suffice. We have to be specific, you know. What is it that you truly want? What does this… decoupled cab desire?"
Emmet steps forward with his smile a visage and his laugh a honk. "If you know I'm decoupled, you already know what I want. I will still say so."
The god smiles.
"I am Emmet. My brother is Ingo. He is my twin. I have been decoupled from him for 3 years. I have searched for him since. Today, I almost came to a complete stop. I almost decommissioned my search. Today is not that day, so it seems."
Emmet gulps and steps further into the god's and the moon's light.
"Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and beyond that, I have and will continue to search for him and reroute him to his home station. He is mine as much as I am his. Ingo is home as I am his."
His fists clench in a grip and his eyes turn wide, blinding them with the white light.
"Please," he starts. "Please please please please please, he and I are a two-car train. I cannot stand to be without him. I want to be with him forever. So please."
He's surprised his knees don't buckle under his mind.
"That is my ideal."
He gulps again.
"Can you grant it?"
The god merely shuts its eyes and lowers its head to meet with Emmet's. With a nod, it boops the rim of his hat. The dam breaks and tears fall off his face. He clutches the god's head and out spills loud ugly sobs. The god nuzzles into the touch. Emmet laughs through the sniffles.
"You know.., you were always my brother's favorite."
The god lifts its head slightly then lowers lovingly.
"I know, Emmet. Bravo, Emmet."
The whiteness fills his vision.

In the void between space and time, two gods stare at each other.
