How you do a simple thing says a lot about how you will a complicated thing. Same with the practice. The technique that you set up in Simple Bridge will carry forward to your technique in other backbends. Start with good technique and let it build rather than pattern bad technique and have to fix it later. Try this— 1. Relax the glutes 2. Use the strength of the legs and the pelvic floor to gently lift the hips 3. Engage the upper back muscles as the sternum reaches towards the chin 4. Internally rotate the shoulders and root them into the ground. 5. Keep the navel and lower abdomen drawn in while breathing gently with the diaphragm 6. Gaze towards the nose Tip: if your back feels good and your legs are burning after then you are on the path of good technique.
