I keep seeing this TikTok about a movie where the dog narrates that it knows its furmom is dying (because dogs can sense health issues), and it got me thinking.
Since I’ve said before that I think Lin might be the first of the Gaang kids to go, what if she got a disease and Oogi could sense it? Whenever Tenzin brought Oogi around, Oogi would be much more affectionate with Lin than usual, nudging her gently with his massive head, licking her, and curling his big body close to her whenever he could. Sometimes, he’d even ignore the whistle on the first blow just to stay by her side.
At first, Lin wouldn’t be a fan of all the attention, but over time, she’d start to enjoy Oogi’s company. It would bring back a lot of old memories from the past. Then Tenzin would notice it how Oogi’s constant affection toward Lin reminded him of how Appa acted when his dad’s health was declining. Worried, he’d urge Lin to get checked out, and that’s when they’d find out about her disease 🤧🤧🤧
You know what else would be cute? Oogi POV on Linzin and the kids and him loving Lin and being overprotective

Oogi munching on his hay because Lin and Tenzin are tasked with feeding, washing him, and brushing out his fur.
As he munch munch, Oogi tilts his head. His hooman's aura is pink. Usually his hooman aura is green and red. But it only become pink when he's with earth hooman
Oogi looks at earth hooman.
Her aura is pink too.
Usually her aura is red and orange. When she is with his hooman, her aura is pink.
They have same color, but why they don't know they love each other? It's so obvious to Oogi.
He huffs some air to knock both his hoomans off their feet.
Earth hooman lands right on top of his hooman.
Now their auras are even brighter pink together.
Oogi happily chews on a pile of cabbages as he watches the silly hoomans try to stand up.
Lin
More time has passed now and Oogi can see and smell his hooman's scent on earth hooman. His hoomans belong to each other and marked each other.
Sometimes Oogi takes Lin to city and brings her home to island. Every once in a while, he can sense earth hooman is in pain. He growls at anyone who tries to come close to his earth hooman. His tail curls around earth hooman to keep attackers away.
Oogi cannot take pain away but perhaps his hooman can. So he brings her back to the island and calls out to his master.
Oogi does not like to see his earth hooman in pain. She makes his hooman very happy. And she feeds him special treats that his hooman and other acolytes do not. Like watermelon and dragonfruit. But when she is hurt, his master's aura is chaotic.
Hooman Tenzin has peaceful aura when his earth hooman is happy and safe
So Oogi must protecc
One day he senses a new energy in his earth hooman. It's a tiny golden energy inside earth hooman, and he recognizes that it's a baby.
Oogi does not care who comes near earth hooman. No man can come near her. Women = okay. Men = no no
His hooman has red face and is yelling at Oogi for not letting him touch earth hooman.
Oogi blows air at Tenzin and lightly puts his tail on top of Tenzin.
"OOOGI! STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!"
Oogi sweeps him away from earth hooman.
Even if his hoomans do not touch in front of him, Oogi can smell his hooman on Lin. He gives Tenzin judgmental side-eye from the distance.

After forever, Oogi sees his hoomans carrying a tiny hooman. He has the zoomies and begins hopping and then flying into the air with excitement because he has sensed this baby hooman for a long time
His hoomans have their own herd now.

Three more tiny hoomans join the herd, and Oogi is the happiest sky bison ever
Sometimes Tenzin and Lin are too boring, but now Oogi can play and have fun with the tiny hoomans instead. they sneak him snacks he should not be eating like jerky or egg tarts. One time earth hooman scolded them for doing that.
Oogi just waited patiently for earth hooman to calm down for more snacks.
He's extra gentle with the tiny ones because they are too smol. Even smaller than baby bison. They may not understand each other, but Oogi knows there is nothing but love amongst his hooman herd.
This hooman herd is Oogi's family ❤️
