Love her ❤️
👿👿👿
Why is everyone saying that the black on Robin's attack was shading?? It's very obvious it's armament haki! Sabo was showing her the Dragon Claw attack, of course they taught her haki. It's about time the Straw Hats learn haki, don't u guys think??
the devil & the king of hell
🌸 Nico Robin vs Black Maria 🕷
manga One Piece
I would like to start this by outlining what Robins devil fruit symbolises. The hana hana no mi serves to symbolise Robins demonisation by society and also shows how she accounts for the accompanying desolation through self suffience
As we all know, in Enies lobby, Robin is explicitly shown to regain her will to live through the aid of her friends, and from then forward, lives a life as someone that has worth, because she's no more alone. This is where however, the chapter 1020 moment turns it up a notch
We can see this further by how she identifies through her role as a brothel worker, tattooing it's emblem on her back, and relying on overt feminity to gain acceptance from those around her.Throughout the fight with Robin,we see her self project her own insecurities constantly
We see that Black maria is unable to understand the idea of someone's self worth being reinforced in such a genuine and pure manner as sanji did for Robin, and was convinced that there was a catch somewhere or that sanji did it to trick Robin, showing her own insecurities
The mirroring continues. Black maria berates Robin, calling her weak and deadweight, despite her being the one who tried to make use of illusions and traps to gain an upper hand, and her constant need to reaffirm that she is a fighter, as if to dispel her insecurity
In the end, Black maria is ultra aggressive against Robin, and takes particularly pleasure in fighting her, as it is though Robin is a mirror for her insecurities, and by overcoming her, she will reinforce her own ideology
Giving in to her taunts and losing, shows Robins inability to fully overcome her past. In a moment of poetic writing, Robin uses a technique that she learnt from her friends to gain the upper hand, as if to say to black maria, that she is indeed not alone
Robin in chapter 1021
First I just gotta comment on this pose. It just reminds me so much of this:
I got nostalgia chills.
Finally! I’ve been waiting for a flashback about Sabo and Robin for over 10 years! Yes, I started waiting for it before Sabo’s survival from the explosion and him being in the revolution army was confirmed. What can I say? I used to ship them so hard!
...
And still do, actually. Bring me some SaRo content, Oda!
Robin doing fishman karate is something I never thought of, but I’m complaining.
