I love the analysis, but I don’t think it’s going to be Ju Peter that will betray IMU. Based on the few lines of dialogue he has had, he seems very loyal to the world government and their cause, considering how he reacted to Luffy defeating Dolfamingo. We can rule out V’ Nasujuro given his remarks about the D- clan. I agree Walcury is the central figure of the Gorosei because he is the God of Justice. But, that leaves Marcus Mars. If you go and pay attention to his dialogue and even facial expressions, you can see that their is some level of hesitance and humanity to him. During O’Hara, when Clover was speaking to the Gorosei, it was Marcus Mars who was speaking to Clover and wasn’t even dead set on having him killed. He calmly asked Clover what he knows. Even during the most recent arc, he is even one of the few gorosei members to be hesitant about using the mother flame on Lulucia. Even in the big page spread with the gorosei, the way oda draws their eyes convey such anger and loyalty to IMU, except Marcus Mars. That small, minuscule detail just leads me to believe that he is the only Gorosei that has any semblance of humanity, and I don’t think he will betray the Gorosei, but I feel like he will gain some peace and freedom from the having to serve IMU once defeated.Show less
