Elsa Arendelle came from a family that were considered royalty in the midwest. Their parents were wealthy bankers who traveled often which left Elsa and their younger sister Anna under the care of nannies. At a young age, they began suffering from depression due to their parents’ absence; this made them difficult to deal with at times. They often refused to eat or come out of their room. Anna did her best to make her big sister smile, however. Every Saturday it became a tradition to go on bike rides/roller skating adventures to get Elsa out of their room.
One Saturday afternoon as the two girls rode their bikes, they got into an argument over Anna’s crush on Hans Westergard. As Elsa got angrier with Anna, she didn’t realize the group of school bullies coming over to pick on her. Elsa had always been different never feeling like they belonged in stereotypical female norms. They began to act, speak and be a very genderfluid individual. In a midwest town that simply was not accepted or understood. Because Elsa was so caught up in worrying about Anna they didn’t see the bullies who pushed over Elsa’s bike knocking them off their bike. Elsa kicked a rock in frustration and it hit Anna’s bike; soon Anna’s tires lost control as she hit a turn and she slid into the lake. Elsa was quick to plunge into the freezing water in order to save their sister, but ever since then they blamed themself. Elsa was a monster and didn’t know what was happening to her but she decided to keep it a secret to anyone else. They didn’t need any more problems or anything happening to Anna because they were different. A few weeks after their sister’s recovery from hypothermia, their parents died in a plane crash on their way home. Although the two Arrendelle sisters had vowed to stick together, grief-stricken Elsa broke that vow.

One of Elsa’s nannies knew of their secrets, and their struggles with their identity. She informed the young Elsa that their parents wanted to wait and tell them on their eighteenth birthday, due to their untimely deaths however, the nanny helped them walk through everything. They were a listening ear, a shoulder to cry on, and the voice of understanding and reason. She then told Elsa, “Conceal, don’t feel” when it came to the bullying so they would never have the upper hand, and that is exactly what Elsa did. Though years past, They ended up moving to New York City alongside their younger sister Anna. A relative in New York was able to take them in and the two children attended the Dalton Academy in High School with Elsa having attended Columbia for her University years.
From the way they carry themself, to the way they talk, Elsa has this elegance and sophistication to them that’s very alluring. Many may perceive them to be cold and withdrawn, but in reality, they’ve just very kept to themself for so long. They found solace writing in their journal and reading books from the library. SO much so that they actually pursued a literature degree and are on their way to writing their first novel. Although many may think that because they are possessive and harsh like the power of winter, they are a very kind and warm person to be around, once people get to know them for who they really are. Though they are still introverted, they are mending their relationship with their sister, Anna and even have a few close friends. New York was a better experience for Elsa and sometimes they even forget what it was like to ever live in a world so unaccepting and harsh.

Anna Arrendelle { Younger Sister } : Anna is not only just their sister, but their best friend. Elsa is very protective of her and will go at all odds to make sure Annar is happy, even if it’s to Elsa’s own expense. While it has taken a lot of trial and error Elsa and Anna are quite close now after all they only have each other left. The two can butt heads sue to their differences but at the end of the day would do anything for each other.
Hans Westergard { Dislikes } : Though their families have been friends for a very long time, Elsa never really got along to the youngest and more malicious brother of the 13 Westergard boys, especially around Anna. Elsa doesn’t like his deceptive tricky ways and the fact he deceived Anna. His behavior has made Elsa want to destroy him and they honestly just might.
Olly Fabinski { Chosen Family } : Olly grew up near the Arrendelle sisters and Anna and Elsa used to babysit Olly. Elsa began to realize that Olly was like them and they quickly took Olly under their wing. Helping to mentor and advise Olly about how to deal with bullies or stand tall in the face of adversity, Elsa is sometimes jealous of Olly. Their roll off the back always positive attitude is something Elsa admires and wishes they could imitate.
