I wasn't completely happy with the sketch but I like the end result! I had to learn how to draw plaid.

i'm sure someone has done this before but i'm pretty sure i've broken down the medical aspects of operator sickness
- direct exposure to the operator causes encephalitis + bronchiectasis which goes away once you're "out of range" (see coughing up blood, disorientation, headaches, vomiting)
- the operator picks people to expose on the regularity
- the regular exposure leads to some type of encephalopathy that has similar neurological symptoms as CJD but not the quickness of it, and instead of full blown dementia it's short term memory loss (in severe cases like Jay's, long term)
this also puts a point towards the operator as a fungus giving them fungal infections. :]
*coughs so bad I'm on the floor* must be the operator sickness...
Currently bingeing marble hornets anf i think im cooked. Like. My brother coughed in the other room and my first thought was "oh shit operator sickness" . And then i was at a museum w a friend, an exhibition had a screen that ketp glitching, and i went "oh shit tearing" kept looking for the operator 😭😭
So what if, he became even more fucked up?
What if The Operator sickness became even worse, and made him look physically even worse. Making him look like death
Edit: what if he also started growing taller...?
Mistaken Identity-
Another Marble Hornets comic for you guys!! Enjoy the blorbos being fucking insane
Im working on my operator/slenderman lore and AM from I have no mouth and i must scream is a big inspiration ngl-
One thing about my aus operator sickness is that it basically takes over your brain and body, it always starts at the part in your brain that makes you feel empathy, so the proxy (the infected) is more willing to kill. In the beginning the proxy will black out and not remember anything, but the more they deteriorate the less these blackouts occur.
If you are infected with the operator sickness you will
- become disoriented
- experience emotions less strongly
- cough blood
- black out(basically the Masky and Hoody alteregos)
symptoms are still a wip so ye :P
The slenderman is a fungi species that has managed to spread itself to trees. It does not feel empathy or emotions, just hunger. Tim is the only person immune to the operator, or at least the only person who has managed to fend off the sickness and live a “regular” life after coming in contact with the slenderman. The slenderman seemingly targets Tims loved ones.
When the proxy is blacked out and has killed someone they will eat parts of the corpse, the only thing theyll say (if they speak at all) is a low mumble of “It is hungry.” the proxy will have no recollection of eating the corpse, but they will obviously question why theres chunks taken out of the body. The proxy is often left to deal with the body and blood by themselves.
The slenderman digests the flesh through the infected but it might accidentally also eat of the proxies insides. It will release an acid of some sort that breaks down the flesh but sometimes the acid reaches the proxies intestines.
Brian is still alive, though hes lost a lot of mobility in his legs and constantly experiences pain in his legs. He also regularly coughs up blood mixed with a black substance that feels oddly similar to tree sap or tar if you touch it.
Toby is more fortunate than Bri (for most of his life, i might write about my thoughts on Tobes and the operator sickness some day)
Reliable and stable connections is important to the infected. The sickness slows down a lot if the proxy has company. ill elaborate on this another time cause im busy:(
