oppositions are harsh aspects. they can represent talent and skill and finesse but they have to be wrangled out and worked at. it’s hard for the opposition aspect to lay dormant, it can dominate the individual until it’s reconciled. trines and sextiles let you laze around, but oppositions force the work out of you. our most profound talents can be found in this aspect

Hey fish i’m someone who research their own birth chart a lot for fun and i wanted to ask what you think of opposition and square aspects in the birth chart and if you think they can be transformed from negative to positive
I have a few oppositions and squares aspect and as you know they are seen as really bad and/or to bring disharmony but I strongly believe such aspects can be overcome by creating harmony
Example_ my 7h moon virgo oppose my ascendant pisces to me this manifest in my life as having difficulties with finding people that accept me for who I am (my sun and mercury sits in my 1h) but i find harmony with this aspect by being extremely careful who i allow in my inner circle they have to have the best intentions for me and accept me or I find myself with very bad/even dangerous relations this includes family friends and partners now
I believe even in synastry the same rule can also be applied a disharmonious placement or aspect can be made harmonious

Hey fellow astrology enthusiast Rose!
I've talked about the square aspect in another post, you can view it here: The Square aspect.
I think with challenging aspects, they're kind of a message that you shouldn't get complacent with your life. Sure, you need work harder to feel more at peace with them, and sometimes, you feel like you can't take a break, but they make you a dynamic person, a bank of energy, the potential for growth is enormous.
With oppositions, I think listing up the strengths and weaknesses of the two planets in opposition will help, try to use the strength of one planet to help the weakness of the other. Or try to incorporate both planets' strengths and work with their weaknesses together. The way you harmonised your 7H Moon in Virgo seems pretty on point.
Thank you for sharing your thought with me. I hope the square and opposition wouldn't get villainised too much, they can seem intimidating but they're exactly where you need to give compassion to yourself the most.
