The Square aspect:

I call this the strict parents aspect. One planet might act as a vulnerable/rebellious kid while the other will act as strict/cold parent, usually the personal planets take the kid role and the outer planets take the parental role. If it's between personal planets, then the smaller planet is the kid, the bigger planet is the parent (I'm talking about the actual planetary size here, if the sizes are the same then both can be kids or parents, fighting each other). There's a strong sense of responsibility and demand from one side and feeling of restriction and being challenged from the other. One planet will push the other to be better, to achieve higher milestones, to behave properly, but not in an encouraging way but in a sharp, directive way. Both planets can be selfish and just want to get its way. This creates an inner conflict for the person who has this aspect. They will feel like if they try to please one planet, they will disappoint the other. The person will feel like there's just no way to please everyone (every desire and wish). They either have to act like a dictator (being demanding, strict, wanting to control the surroundings), or a people pleaser (diplomatic but scattered, confused, indecisive).

I think a good way to solve the tension of the square is to establish a set of rules and order for themselves, allow the kids to play, but for a set period of time, stop the parents when they get too harsh. Pick the best traits of both planets and incorporate them into an ACTION plan. This aspect will push the person to act, so the person who has lots of squares in their chart will also has lots of drive and ambition. Even when they feel like life is an eternal struggle, their achievements will be immense and life does reward them, the problem is if the person can see that reward.

Sun square Jupiter:

Imagine two giants being in conflict with each other. One will taunt and challenge (usually Jupiter) while the other will puff up their chest and show who's the boss (usually Sun).

This person can feel like life always presents them some taunting challenges that they need to prove themselves. So they tend to act big with everything, with their generousity, their pride and ego, their wisdom and justice, like a big daddy (regardless of their gender).

3rd house synastry is severely underrated—particularly when the personal planets are involved. It often gets cast off as shallow or less intense, but communication is one of the most vital dimensions of sustaining relationships, whether they be romantic or platonic. Here, no topic of conversation is off limits, and is embraced to be revisited and refined throughout the connection. There is a strong desire to pick each other’s brains apart and share learning experiences—discerning values and seeking to understand opinions, life experiences, interests, micro-obsessions, quirks, family relationships, thought processes, and overall inner landscapes/monologues. No minute detail is too small or mundane, which keeps relationships endlessly interesting and encourages growth on many scales. In my experience, it can create a therapeutic dynamic between two people + an interest in each other’s psychology, but can be tipped out of balance if venting has no boundaries. Lots of playful banter/wordplay, love letters, frequent texting, and sometimes mind reading (mental sync) or secret spilling. People are really intimidated by square aspects in synastry, but I think they provide strong and much needed medicine for each other. For example, Leo and Scorpio energies seem like day and night on the surface, but they provide the space for much needed light work and shadow work for each other. They supply something that is not individually generated and have a line of sight to point out each other’s blind spots, making each other stronger when handled with care. They often share similar interests and passions, but pursue them in different ways. Squares provide areas of tension/discomfort which leads to movement, which leads to growth. I love these types of relationships because they push us out of stagnancy, out of what is comfortable—yet there is a recognition or familiarity because of a shared modality (which seems so simple that it’s often overlooked). There are overlapping life themes and driving forces and tactics. There are similar security needs and styles of existing with shared modalities, which can be comforting in a relationship dynamic. Despite any conflict that comes up there is an inherent feeling of safety and understanding (though in a more broad and raw, bigger picture sort of way). I think we often forget or don’t appreciate the valuable experience of conflict, that pushes us outside of ourselves to gain a larger collective worldview and exercise our empathetic muscles.

Neptune is the planet of horror that we make Saturn and Pluto out to be (not to say that any planet should be feared in its totality—we must work with all of them to feel integrated). I will probably elaborate on this in later posts.

A reflection I recently had on chiron in the 3rd house is the notion of never being presented with probing or intriguing questions at a young age by those in your daily life. In order to dive deeper into your reflections on the world and self, you need to have people in your life who care enough to not only hear you but push you to hone your inner landscape, as well as challenge and encourage your inner monologue + beliefs. We need people in our lives to catalyze us by asking important and thought provoking questions. I really wish I knew your sun and Pluto sign to go into further detail of how this could manifest but all that I can say is that since the father is also represented by the sun, the father figure in your life may be the one who can be iffy with accepting and coming to terms with your darker qualities, there may be at times arguments concerning your identity because of that. But because this is also in 4th house which is represented by the mother it can be your mother as well, the sign and degree would also help identify this.

CONJUNCTION: if the sun and the moon are in the same sign, that sign will be very dominant in a person’s energy. depending on the sign, this can make a person very chill or full of energy lol. sometimes it can make a person be very sure about their needs and wants! people with this conjunction may seem overly confident sometimes to other as they don’t appear to be insecure about themselves and can these people can be proud of themselves too.

OPPOSITION: now this can be very difficult for someone. it can make someone very usnure about their wants and needs and if this opposition is very strong this person can be very self-conflicted as their wants and needs constantly seem to be extremely different. depending on the signs, a person may not sure to act and respond sometimes based on their needs, respectively wants. these people could be barely pleased with themselves always, therefore are very insecure. :(

SQUARE: usually, a square means that the signs under two celestial bodies involved are in conflict. under the influence of this aspect, one has to work on the domains that the moon and sun presupose to bring out the best of them and their life. one has to put the other in light in the process! (may apply for the opposition too but here could be more intense sometimes). also, people with this aspect might be hot-tempered, regardless of the signs involved if the aspect is very strong.

TRINE: now this is an easier aspect to handle. a person with this aspect is most likely to know want in life. it doesn’t bring as much tension like the other aspects that were mentioned above do. i feel that if a person has a trine can handle everything much easier. also, i think that they may be chill people and the type of people that aren’t affected by everything around that easily. people with this aspect may be nice people too, but surely, depends on the sign.

SEXTILE: here the signs involved balance each other out so beautifully i think. unlike the case of a square, there is not a constant fight between the signs that are under the sun and moon, actually, one usually effortlessly works out to brings the most in the other one. when the latter happens in an efficient way, an individual with this aspect may enjoy their time more than ever, because a balanced out life can mean a lot these people… a bit random but i think these ppl could be chaotic good too lol.
