OK another headcannon formed in my head and I want to share it.

Since Gus is now guarding the graveyard and the galdorstones, I figure he'd want to learn more about the galdorstones, (their history, abilities, and uses just to see why they're sought after so much out of curiosity).

But the problem is that there's not a lot of information about them in books. I also headcanon that the illusionists (before they died) did their best to hide away any information on galdorstones to protect them from being used for selfish/evil purposes.

So naturally, my main headcanon I'm getting at is that Gus tries his hand at communicating with the spirits of the illusionists through necromancy AKA oracle magic.

Basically, he gets information about the galdorstones from the main protectors themselves.

I mean I think he could do it, Perry is in the oracle coven and Gus doesn’t have a coven sigil, so he could tap into it if he concentrates on it.

If you think about it, Gus has always had a small connection to death (mostly with his lines in season 1, with one in season 2 in Escaping Expulsion).

Lol, Odalia doing illusion magic. It's literally stated she's in the oracle coven and canon that even with a sigil people can still do low-level magic of different specialities, only with difficulty.

I thought so. I had to double check everything in case I remembered wrong. Illusion wouldn't give you to ability to move items and because the sigils are supposed to "lock away the rest", so it would be extremely difficult to do another kind of magic.

So I've decided bards have sirens and all that stuff I mentioned in my last post. I absolutely love the idea of a song putting you under a trance.

I also wanna talk about oracle magic cause it's so underrated like???

You remember Selene? That moon girl Willow fought against? So like, because of her we got a glimpse of oracle magic, that is a mummy ghost thingy. I kinda connected oracle to have the ability to see not just the future, but also the past. Of course, only very skilled ones can see farther. But imagine predicting something happening. Perfection 👌

In Lost in Language, we saw that crystal balls are the Boiling Isles equivalent to computers. As a result, the Oracle path is probably just magic computer science with their predictions made from bots and algorithms.

This allows Luz, and by association the residents of the Owl house, to go undetected as a threat for so long, made her extremely hard to catch, and why they needed to be monitored directly, even though the EC must've had access to powerful Oracle witches. They didn't realize their predictions were almost always off, or if they did didn't understand why, until it was too late. 2/2

Okay, I'm taking this idea from a story I saw on r/HFY, but I headcanon that humans are magic sponges. Meaning they absorb some magic both directed at them and around them meaning that spells need a little more juice to get the same affect they would on a regular denizen of the demon realm. This factor is normally negligible for most spells and magic except for the extremely precise Oracle magic. Because humans absorb magic any future where a human is present will not show up unless the human 1/
