Bad Ape! My new favorite character in the current Ape films. Finally an ape who wears clothes and has a sense of humor! All 3 characters in Funko’s WftPotA line look good (though Caesar is a little too pale). The movie is the best of the new series—but needed a major female ape with the spirit (and screen time) of Zira.

Space of the Apes!? The best packaging, featuring old, original PotA illustrations. The ape figures are knockoffs of the Tim Burton designs, with pinch of Worf the Klingon and Gimli the Dwarf thrown in. Expressive sculpts (my favorite is the ginger) and nice accessories. The collection I bought included 3 apes and 2 boring humans (I’ve seen images of another female human with armor—don’t know if more apes exist).

i'm so terrified of orangutangs. just watched a video from that girl who is always hanging out with the orangutangs was at the zoo with slime and a bunch of jenga blocks. the orangutang was gesturing for her to put the blocks in the slime. then the orangutang got her to get the blocks out of the slime and it KEPT COUNT OF HOW MANY BLOCKS THERE WERE.

☆Orangutans have the longest birth interval of any mammal. In Borneo they give birth on average once every 8 years. In Sumatra, only once every 10 years. Females do not breed until about age 17, and can live up to 60 years! These makes them one of the lowest breeding animals and every life truly is precious. ☆The race for sustainable PALM OIL is on as Orangutans aren't expected to survive beyond 2026 due to deforestation, mostly from PALM OIL plantations. Orangutans are solitary in the wild. Once they reach maturity, they spend most of their time alone, or in the case of females, with their young offspring. Adult males old enough to have cheekpads are the most solitary, spending over 90 per cent of their time alone.
