Dungeons and Dragons and Tears
Rolling for Mayhem won't be recording an episode tonight.
A few hosts kept their character sheets online at OrcPub. Unfortunately, the creator has closed the site.
You can still support the OrcPub creator, Larry Christensen!
Restore options to OrcPub
As you may or may not know, a lot of non-SRD customizations disappeared from OrcPub a while back, rendering the site not quite as useful for character creation or leveling. Through the work of the community, those options have been re-compiled, but it is not particularly intuitive how they get added back in. Below the cut you will find a step by step guide on how to load datasets into OrcPub.
hey so im a dungeon master and when orcpub got rid of all it’s unearthed arcana and extra content to fiddle around with, a lot of my players lost their stats and i playing was a bit of a hassle.
@yourplayersaidwhat if you could reblog this it’d make my life and the lives of all D&D players so much easier, if you know any other D&D tumblrs that’d be willing to sign please let them know
Hey Ya’ll
if you play D&D or have ever used Orcpub, you’ll have found out soon enough that Wizards of the Coast has cut off a lot of information in Orcpub due to copyright issues.
Orcpub is an amazingly detailed character creation studio that also function as a storage space for character and party sheets, as well as homebrew weapons, spells, and backgrounds. It is a huge gateway for new players that are daunted by the several books and have no idea where to start with character creation.
Right now, Orcpub has a change.org petition going in order to have Wizards of the Coast give them full licensing access, even if it ends up being subscription.
Please, if you can, sign the petition, and signal boost this.

...did...
did orcpub remove everything but base 5e?
I’m so mad right now.
WotC recently detonated a megaton bomb of DMCA on everything. The free PDFs for the campaign books, supplementary books, and core rule books are all gone.
That’s fine, though. That is actual piracy and I understand that.
But they also hit orcpub.
Orcpub is a site for character creation. It has no material that isn’t immediately apparent in the STG or the PHB. Anything that IS from the supplementary stuff usually just had a link to the book on amazon and what page it could be found on. DnD is a lot like doing taxes. There’s a lot of numbers, book reading, and busywork involved in just creating a character. Orcpub is like the H&R block of character creation. This is like if the IRS shut down H&R block. All of my characters are gone. I don’t have them anywhere else. I can’t shell out 180$ for all the books, and that isn’t even counting the Curse of Strahd for the background or the book with the Elemental Evil spells. There was no reason to nuke the whole site to just the Starter Kit content.
So this is a thing y’all should do
Petition for Orcpub Its a good website
