[Transmigrated to Another World]
PLEASE DON'T DO THAT IN FRONT OF ME
As time went by and now it's already afternoon, they decided that they should move from the crown prince's bedroom. It would be suspicious if the crown prince didn't show up in his study even if his paperwork never ended to piling up and they didn't want anyone to see the older Alberu and Cale appearance as they already made a deal to make the newcomers from another world just help them from the shadow.
Older Cale and Alberu were transported to Henituse's mansion in the capital without any commotion with help Alberu's trusted mage while the younger Cale came back to the mansion with carriage. After all, there should be someone to make the subordinate in the mansion not suspicious about their existence when they are staying, to provide them with food and everything. So the younger Cale, who was known as trash, will be the best option to make the maid and servant deliver the food—too much food for just one person—without daring asking.
The younger Cale always did these things in ten years or more in his life, so he perfectly acts as trash when he arrives in the mansion and threatens them to not let anyone go near the room on the floor he will be staying on.
The younger Cale felt his head hurt since he entered the crown prince's bedroom. Today was really ridiculous day for his nineteen-year-old self. His stomach hurt and he felt nauseous because imagining the disaster that would come to his world and made him think maybe he shouldn't try to carelessly go to the capital without telling his family in the household to meet the crown prince.
The younger Cale sighed as the sweetness of wine made him more relaxed for a moment. He took a bath after a busy day he had today. He forgot when he had so much to do like this before. As he known as a trash, what he did all the time was just stray in the street from morning until dawn again. There is no one who even cares what he did at this point as he just likes drinking all day and night and getting into trouble. Or at least, it is what everyone knows about him.
There is no one who knows that actually he is collective and decent noble, and he tries really hard to make everyone in the family happy even if it costs him himself to be the one who is isolated and insulted by everyone.
Cale genuinely loves his family even if he never tries to express it with words. He sucks at it to be honest. Let alone when he knew he shouldn't carelessly try to make a bond with his new family because he was an eyesore, a source of awkwardness in his family. And sure he knows his father is still sad when he sees him because Cale is very much alike with his dead wife, so Cale decided to distance himself from his father.
And deep in his heart, he knows the main reason why he distances himself from his father is because he is still mourning and plea toward the warmth his mom and father used to give him, but knew that time will not go back to that moment again.
Cale clicked his tongue as he realized his mind straying again toward the issue that he really didn't like to think about. His gaze stared toward the table in front of him and chuckled when he saw three bottle wines already empty without him even realizing. I am really trash, huh. As he thought about it, he opened the fourth bottle and tried to erase his thoughts about his family.
He tried to think about another thing and the reason he was here came to mind. The Whipper Kingdom's internal problems are near its end and the Mogoru Empire looks like they didn't do anything but known as want to make their Empire stand above any other kingdom on the western continent. Sure Cale never has any informant trusted enough that can reveal such secret information. But he still has ears and brain. He heard many things in bars that he always visits, the bar that is filled with mercenaries and merchants that drop in Henituse territory.
Something he knows after making deductions about these matters was, something really must have happened and his kingdom will be in danger. Because of that, he tried to tell someone higher enough to order everyone and someone who he truly can trust him, even if there is a title trash in his entire existence.
Cale figured out there was someone that he could try to tell. Someone who descended from his favorable place in the late few years but is still capable of surviving in his place. Someone who can order almost everyone and has the authority to make such a big decision; Alberu Crossman. That's why he is here today, escaping from Henituse territories with the help of Eric Wheelsman a week ago and trying to make remarks in the Crown Prince's mind and will let Alberu manage the rest.
(Please never ask about what hardship he should have passed before Eric let him out of territories secretly, that's too much for him to remember it). And now, all the kind hardship he had already gone through was ruined because he is in the Henituse mansion now and he bet his father had already heard the information from the servant.
Cale shiged again, finished the fifth bottle of wine before standing from the couch and had himself dressed more neatly. Unfortunately, his day today has not yet ended. He has an appointment to have dinner with a newcomer from another world as they have discussion about what they should do from now on. The crown prince did not promise he could come, but he said he would try to transportes from the palace to his mansion after finishing his paperwork that should be done today.
Cale walked to the room next to him. It is the older Cale's bedroom for the time he stayed here. They have already made a promise to assemble here before. He entered the room and was greeted with a sight that he never expected he would ever see. He can see the older self of him leisurely sitting down on the couch. His silky and very long hair is still drenched and there is a towel that muffled it imperfectly. But the one that made him have deep frown in his eyes was because of the older self of Alberu. He stood up behind the couch. His hands worked up to dry up his dongsaeng hair.
The two of them just gave him a short nod to say that they acknowledged his present, but then they just do whatever shit they want to do; the older Alberu carefully moved his hands to dry the red hair with a deepened scowl as he mumbled, complaining, "I don't know why I should do this to you. Why don't you just cut your hair if you do not even have a desire to dry it up?"
The older Cale sighed, satisfied that he could leisurely rest when the emperor dried his hair and leaned his head on the couch. He ignored the nagging complaint as he mumbled back, "The children like to play with it." And got a non-majestically scoff from the emperor as a result. "You spoil them too much."
The younger Cale didn't know what made him very surprised now. Is it because the way they talked to each other was very close, the rudeness of his older self that even made the ruler of the empire to be his manual labor man, or the fact that he will have children.
Cale massaged his temple as he felt a headache attacking him again. He purposedly sighed out loud to draw their intention and then stared at them with a firm gaze. "I don't give a fuck whatever you do when you're in your world. But please don't ever do that again in front of me."
The younger Cale had already told the servant to not enter any room on the third floor (the floor where they are staying for the time being), so three stalls with so many different foods were just placed in front of the door. It is maybe a bit too troublesome, but it is for the best, so they can leisurely stay here without making any commotion after the stranger he invited in. He thinks his father will let him be for the time being and even order the servant in the mansion to provide whatever he wants, so maybe this is the best.
They had dinner together but there wasn't much conversation that happened in between. They are occupied with each of their minds. The conversation started when the younger Alberu was transported there while looking very exhausted, but his eyes were still very focused as he was desperate about the kingdom's safety.
"The Northern Alliance..." The younger Cale heard his fellow world friend mumble with a stiffed expression. Cale himself felt astonished with this information the newcomers brought. The alliance came from a place he never expected. Before they can face the greatest enemy, they should face this alliance. Cale gripped his hand tightly without even realizing. And the place that will be the first to get attacked was the Henituse territories. His home and his mother's favourite place. He felt the pressure, fear, and anxiety in his heart clenched his chest tightly. He will not let that place get attacked.
The younger Cale stared at the old figure of him that still looked very calm as he shared the shocking information. His eyes lit with desperation as he asked, "How... how can you defeat the Guardian Knight and his wyvern brigade?"
The older Cale finally looked at him too. His eyes that are identical with him, stared back with a calm and collective gaze. His hand tapping the table in front of him as he answered. "The main problem isn't him. There will be a more dangerous person who will stab you from behind if you too focus on that bastard." The older Cale stopped a moment before continuing, "First, let's pick the strays that will help you."
The younger Cale had an odd expression on his face as he stared at the red-haired man in front of him, but the man didn't care and just randomly asked, "Have you ever been beaten by someone to pulp?"
The younger Cale sighed. Can catch what the man intended to ask but was still amazed by the way he asked it. It looks like the man really is Cale; rude, looks careless and bold. He fixed his posture and gave a smile that was very different from what everyone knew. He didn't care about any act he should do because everyone in this room already knew who he was actually (including the older Alberu since he and the older Cale look so close). Cale has a smug expression with one eyebrows up as he said, "So I should have been beaten up to meet the stray? It looks like me in another world really are very rude and live the way trash should have."
The older Cale looked a bit surprised with his answer. He looks like he wants to deny it, but just let it a slide as he continues tapping his finger on the table. "What about the massacre in Harris Village?"
Now the younger Cale is the one who has stiffed expressions. He had heard about this topic when he had breakfast together with his family a month ago or so. There is just someone who survived from that village; the vicious guy he met when he was drunk and asked him about the way to Henituse household. The younger Cale still felt the fear he faced, someone already passed down on the ground that he knew was a fellow drunken bastard. Should he be the one who was beaten up that day?
"Yes... there was an incident here a month ago." The younger Cale answered slowly. He stared at the tea placed in front of him before staring at the older self of his once again, "So the one who could defeat the enemy is Choi Han?"
He still remembers. He still daring to ask what the black hair man wants when he goes there and the expression from the man suddenly changes to a desperate one. Cale felt the man didn't have any harm intention to his family, so he led the way as he too was on the way back home. The last thing Cale knew, this problem was being taken care of immediately and Cale heard the man was appointed as a knight by his father later on.
"That's good enough." The younger Cale could see the satisfied look from the man. He nodded before adding, "He will happily help you if you mentioned what happened." The younger Cale feels odd. Maybe it's because he can see fond expressions on his old self looks. It's very genuine and sincere. It makes him wonder if he himself will be able to make that kind of expression like that again after his mother's death.
"There is still a lot you should do though." The older Cale stopped a moment and gave a glance toward the man beside him, looking like he asked for approval. The older Alberu just gave a short sigh before nodding and the older Cale looked at him again. "Let's divide the team so we can move faster. I will guide you and tell you what you should do. Hyung will help his younger self."
ANCIENT POWERS AND … A DRAGON?
So early in the morning, the younger Cale had already woken up and did the task that his older self told him to do. He sighed as he passed the room the older Cale stayed in and found out he was still sleeping. Sure they will be back from the capital at noon, but seeing his older self leisurely sleeping while he should collect ALL and EVERY cake, bread, dessert and food from the capital still makes him upset.
The younger Cale felt like he was being scammed because, is there really an ancient power in his territories?? Not one but four? It's a very big shot, but what made him confused was, he can have it just by giving the hole that very much makes everyone avoid that slump with food until it is satisfied. Ancient power that everyone said as special superpower and someone should have the approval of heaven to have one of it, can be swayed by food?? The younger Cale was curious about what his older figures did until he discovered this rather weird method, but as they didn't have much time to spare with bickering, he let it be.
After the younger Cale gathered every food he could find in the streets of the capital to his spatial bag (or the crown prince's since Cale's broken in pocket as he runaway from territories without grabbing some allowance so all money comes from the prince as well to buy this food), he came back to his mansion and found his older self had already woken up.
But something was very odd as he saw that man wearing a black outfit with a picture of five red stars. If he could say, it was a rather cool outfit but felt like an outfit that would be worn by someone who has a chuuni about himself. He gulps his own thoughts when he hears his older self open his mouth, "Wear this. We will first save the dragon."
At this point, the younger Cale felt like he should lower his standards about normal and sane conversation with his older self. A dragon?? Really? So that's why he said his companions would be able to bring disaster to the world. Cale didn't even want to wonder what the older self of his did to bring him to this result. He thinks he really will be insane if he knows the rest of the journey of Cale Henituse did in a parallel world.
They move rather fast because the teleportation scroll (again and again from the crown prince Alberu and Cale can see this Prince mourning in his sleep because he was robbed by these people to the core, and yes Cale pity him) and their first journey began with stealing saving dragon on Tolz territory.
It's very refreshing though. The younger Cale has a few encounters with the young master from this household and holds a not really good impression of him. And now he robbed what was very special for the trust relationship between Tolz and Stan's family. Of course, he felt angry too because the older Cale said this dragon gets tortures every so often from the day it hatched from the egg until now.
The older Cale was in charge of making the guard in the cave chaotic (and damn, his ancient power really cool and destructive), while Cale himself was charged forward with his sword to save the dragon. Mana disturbance has already activated, so there is no one who can use magic so he can focus on moving forward as he clashes his sword with anyone who is in his way. It was rather difficult because he even forgot when was the last time he had swordman practice, but it was still good enough because people are in chaotic states and mostly everyone out there fighting with the older Cale.
Cale can see the skinny, vulnerable, and frail body with lots of wounds all over its reptilian body. Cale schourch down to one of the bodies on the ground and reach out for the key. Fastly opened the door in the innermost cave that was built like a prison. The dragon hissed when he got close but did not have much energy to fight back and easily wrapped in his hands. They came out of the cave. And from the end of his sight, he could see the dragon astonished with the overlay beautiful and clear sky at the sunny noon above it.
Cale climbed down again and lifted the body to the big rock nearer. The older Cale just observed him from a distance, and made Cale sigh. He can't even have a good relationship with his own family, how can he comfort this being and draw it to him? Ah, whatever. He will do anything as he pleased as the older Cale said.
Cale begins with casting loose the mana restriction chain from the dragon's neck and lets the dragon resist a bit before being surprised because the human let him out of the chain. Cale didn't say anything as he continued his act to pour the white cloth he had already prepared with potion the crown prince gave. The dragon stiffed a bit before its body relaxed under the healing power of potion. Its eyes that look like the night sky staring at him confused. Cale gave a calm stare before continuing to give the dragon the rest of the potion from its mouth.
"You can do whatever you want. Whether you will live freely or have revenge on those people. Just don't hurt innocent people." Cale stood from his position and gave the last stare to the dragon. "And if you want to, you can follow me." Cale walks out from the place he stands and is greeted by the satisfied look of his older figure (even if the black cloth covers almost all of his face, Cale can feel that the man smiling).
"We will be damned if it don't join us." Cale contemplated seriously, a bit anxious his action didn't draw the dragon to his side. But the older Cale just shook his head. "It's okay. We can't force him to help us if it don't want it. You did a good job." It felt weird when the older Cale gave him pat in his shoulder a few times and felt... warm. Damn, Cale sure he was emotional because of this rescue. For someone who just tries to save their family by running away and drawing the line from them…. He shook his head with a deep frown. Now isn't the time to let his emotions overflow him.
They then moved to Plazza city to take Vitality of the Heart ancient power. He didn't know the ancient power that people said so grand, crying a lot and he should hear all of it while walking against the pierce wind. Maybe he should listen to his older figure when he said that this power will be much easier to take when he has the Indestructible Shield. But it will need too much teleportation scroll. They should go to the Henituse territory again after obtaining this, so it will be a waste.
Cale sighed and walked to the pile of rock. Cale was surprised when the dragon really did appear when he had the first scratch because of the pierce wind and the dragon cast him a shield while telling him to not do anything reckless because he was weak. He obtained the Vitality of the Heart and a dragon on his side.
They move again to obtain the Indestructible Shield and Cale feels like he should have borrowed an earplug, so he won't hear this rumbling sound of someone who critizes and makes every comment about the food that he poured into the hole from his spatial bag. He just left a little food like his older self told him. The dragon made itself invisible and rambling in his head from the moment they transported here. Cale merely let out a sigh and accepted he and his ears destiny to continue to pour the food and successfully obtain the power.
When he walked out from the place people call The Man Eating Tree, he met two children in that slump. They look terrible, skinny and there are wounds in the leg of the girl. Cale sighed again. Cale can tell the reason why he should leave a little food there. It looks like his older self did a lot of untrash deed. Saving dragon and now... two children that were later discovered as part of cat tribe? Cale shook his head before giving the food to them. They looked very surprised but eventually ate the food at a very fast pace. Cale sighed then gave them water. He called the dragon and told him to cast off the invisible magic and gave the skinny dragon the rest of the food.
The children from the cat tribe, named On and Hong, follow him from behind after he lets them choose to follow him or not. They promised they would be provided with a healthy and better meal if they wanted to follow Cale. The older Cale that was really just observed him from behind all this time now leads the way to the lake full of dead mana in the Forest of Darkness.
Hong ate the poison as his specialty was poison and then Cale asked the dragon to cast an illusion on this lake so no one could see it. The older Cale said this dead mana will be given to his companions with dark attributes and Cale should stop himself from frowning about another untrash deed that Cale does. He knew the creature with dark attributes isolated from society, but this Cale didn't care and just sheltered them, and sure he himself didn't care about it.
They then move to the large boulder in the inner region of Forest of Darkness to obtain Super Rock's power. He heard the voice of Super Rock power. 'It looks like you are gathering ancient power just like someone beside you.' Cale's expression stiffened when he heard that voice. He glanced to the side and the older Cale, titling his head, looked like he didn't hear the voice. 'Very interesting... It looks so similar to my power and my friend's power. How can he have the power?'
Cale debated for a while before answering, "That's because it is really your power. Do you want to know? Let me obtain your power first." There is a pause for a moment. It looks like Super Rock debated what he should do too. After a while, he then heard the voice again. 'Alright, you can have them. But just so you know, my power will be active when you try to help other people only.'
He guided in the boulders and he heard the older Cale try to convince the three children that it's okay to let him be. He had some conversations with Super Rock and he told the owner of this ancient power why he wanted to obtain power and who was the older Cale. He thought the ancient power owner had the right to know what he would do with their power. The Super Rock looked very surprised when Cale told him about the White Star and immediately agreed to let him obtain the power.
It was late at noon when he finally did what should be done for today. He felt very exhausted but astonished again when the Super Rock told him about the villa underground the boulder. He let the rest of his companions see the villa too. He didn't see any surprising looks in the older figure of his, so he assumed he knew this place too.
"Will this be our house from now on?!" The now visible dragon chimed with a bright expression, while the red haired boy, Hong, clutched his hand to Cale's arm with light of hope in his eyes. "Really? Our house?" Cale felt odd again. The word 'our' makes him feel weird inside. His heart beat faster and his voice cracked a bit when he answered slowly, "Yes... this is our home from now on." He can feel from another side, On clucth her hand toward him too. And Cale can't resist but feels warm inside him.
They rest in the villa for tonight. The first plan was he should go back to Henituse household, but he felt very tired now. It would be bad if he faced his father like this. Let alone, his father might interrogate him for his weird behavior from a week ago. So he let his body rest on the 5th floor and didn't even have energy to argue when the children followed him and slept on his side even if there was a lot of empty room aside from this.
The younger Cale woke up when he realized a warm present around him. He opened his eyes and found the three bundle around him with each paw sprawled on his side. "Finally, you wake up!" The dragon said, and the two children that are now transformed into cats form chimmed after. He couldn't help but reach his hands towards each of them. He couldn't resist but to have a soft place for them and didn't want to act like trash self when he knew what they had suffered from a very young age.
Cale sat up and covered his mouth when he was yowning. They came out of the room and found the older Cale already sitting up in the living room on the first floor. Oh, the younger Cale was a bit surprised. After all, the man didn't seem like a morning person. The older Cale oddly stared at the young dragon and the kittens with... longed stare? He wasn't really sure. He wondered if the man from another world already missed his people in his world, but before he could ask anything, the older Cale already opened his mouth, "Let's grab food and finish the rest of our work."
They grab breakfast before being teleported to the hill where his mom's grave is located. His heart sank when he headed toward the headstone. Really... If he does not have determination to save his world, his house, and his favorite place when his moms are still alive, maybe he will never come here again. His mind always became chaotic when he saw the name in stone. His chest hurt. He still can't get over the fact his dearer person has already left him behind. Cale sighed, in the back, he could hear the older Cale asking the children to let him alone.
Cale let out heavy breath as slowly as possible. His eyes clouded as he touched the grave. He shut his eyes for a moment to give his mother a short greeting before digging the ground around the headstone. He remembered his father ever told him his mother left him a diary that should only be read by him. And he remembered the older Cale told him how to open the metal box as he stabbed his finger with a small dagger.
Cale lamented for a moment as he touched the diary dearly. His mom. This is hers. Mother. He shut his eyes for a moment to hold the emotions that flow in his chest. He let out a heavy breath once again before opening the diary.
< My dear son who is reading this diary. Have you met a person who will change your fate? >
Cale's face immediately stiffened. His nape felt chill as his chest pounding for a different reason. How does his mother know about that? The younger Cale needs to take another breath before he continues to read the diary.
< My dearest child, I have the power to let me know about something that will not be seen by others. One of the abilities to its power is to see someone's fate. >
Cale sighed. In the past few days, he felt really exhausted with so much new and shocking information the world held secretly. Meet his older self from parallel world, the future disaster in this world, saw and heard the high creatures such as god and dragon, and now even his mother has such a big secret he never knows. Cale tried to compose himself as he continued to read.
< You, my child, I can saw something really bad will happen to you and the world around you that makes you full of sorrow and guilt. I was really, really sad when I saw this. >
He can imagine the sorrow his mothers mentioned was about the future of this world. Hundreds of thousands of people will die and the causalities of the war will make the world break apart. But he realized it. His mom mentioned it with the word 'was' there. He eagerly read more of his mom's words.
< But that fate slowly broke apart. And what I can tell you is, you will meet someone who will save you from your bad fate. >
Cale read the rest of the diary that really shocked him very much. His moms mentioned about the single lifer, regressor, transmigrator and a lot more things about his mother's family as she tried to help him with providing him with every information she held. His head hurt because he should accept too much information in his head in a few days. His eyebrows formed a frown because of the headache. He could see the children come near him with a worried expression, but Cale stopped them from moving closer. There is something he should do on his own. He needed to read the diary until the last page.
< My child. You're someone I love more than I love myself. You are my everything and I want you to know, it is still the same even when I die and even after that. I hope you can have a happy life with the one you love the most. I hope you can meet with the one who will change your sorrowfull fate to the one that will lead you to happiness. My son, my dearest son, I will always love you. >
He shut his eyes again, but now it's too late. He can feel the warm liquid escape from its nest. Cale breath heavily and hugs the diary in his hand dearly. Cale still tries to make his actions less emotional, but he knows everyone can still see his bad state. He hates to be acknowledged when he is sad... and weak. But he can't contain himself. He saw the diary the last time before placing it again in the metal box.
The ground shaking after that and a huge tree with red leaves grew in the place where the tomb was placed. Soon enough, he could see the young woman in her late teens. Much younger than his moms figure Cale ever remembered, but he can still see the same beauty he has always admired in her face.
'Hmm, who might you be? And why do you look very sad?' Cale can see the woman look confused while studying his face. Cale froze in the place because it still hurt a bit when his mother didn't recognize him. But the young woman didn't know that and continued to talk. 'Please don't be sad. Your face is really cute, and will be more handsome if you smile.'
Cale blinked with surprise. This reminds him of how his mom always praised his looks even when he was younger. The woman still continued, 'Please don't be sad. I will let you have my power, so please smile and be happy.' She is now a bit desperate, as if she didn't want to see the kind of face Cale is making right now.
Cale couldn't help but chuckle after that. What she said just now was similar to what was written in her diary. His eyes then looked toward her and tried to capture this moment for the rest of his life. "Thank you for your comfort." Cale said with a crack voice. The woman tries to scope his face in her palm even if there is nothing he feels as there isn't any real form of her. His breath hitched. He tried to smile but his eyes got wet again.
'It is going to be okay.' He can hear the woman still trying to comfort him. Her hand tries to wipe his tears, but there is still nothing happening. After a few moments and Cale was finally able to contain himself, he tried to make a distance with the woman, tried to capture the figure more accurately than ever and smiled sincerely. "You are right. This is going to be okay."
After obtaining the power of his mother, he observed the tree that is now placed in tombstone. He was smiling as he saw the leaf resemble his and his mother's red hair colour and then placed his hand in the tree. His chest feels a lot easier now. As if he finally can let the grief inside of him out. And it feels like he can visit his mother's grave more often from now on. He turned around just when he heard a doubtful tone coming from the side. "Cale … my son?"
It was his father. He can see the flower bucket in his father's hands and the confused looks in his eyes. It makes Cale freeze for a moment. His relationship with his father is really awkward right now. He even forgot the last time he had a conversation with just the two of them. Before he can think about anything, he can hear the dragon's voice in his head, "Human! Your friend said that we should let you have a conversation with your father first, so we will be invisible for now! Have a good conversation with your father, human!"
He tried not to sigh but failed. His older self really knows him and his doubts right now. But as the black dragon said, he should have a conversation with his father. "Tell father to fortify the barrier in the territories." He remembered his conversation with his older self before. And he too should draw Choi Han to his side by telling his father to make Choi Han as his bodyguard. He really needs to talk with his father. But it's more difficult than what he thought.
As Cale's mind became chaotic, Deruth felt baffled by a lot of things. His son suddenly disappeared a week ago and made the territory chaotic until his servant told him that he was in the Henituse mansion in the capital. But just the day after, he disappeared again. He was really worried and called out his subordinate to find his son, but suddenly now he is there, in front of his mother's grave. Deruth was really surprised when the ground shook and ran toward the hills as he wanted to make a visit to his wife's grave. But he didn't expect to see the tree and his son smiling while he touched the tree. He wondered when the last time he saw the genuine smile on his eldest son's face.
"Are you okay, my son? Why... there is a tree here?" He can see how stiff Cale's expression was and it makes his heart hurt. He really thinks that he's useless and can't even make up with his own son. Cale even sighed as if he didn't know what to say to his own father. Deruth hands float in the air, want to touch his son but don't want to make him uncomfortable. This is really awkward. And he knew the one he should blame was himself. His stare sank down without even realizing it. But then he heard his son finally open his mouth.
"Father." Cale wondered when the last time he called his father out loud. It felt a very long time ago. His eyes shook and he could hear his own voice crack. But he should do it. He needs to do it. To live better than he had up until now. To live happily just like his mother wants. He took a breath before opening his mouth again, "I need to tell you something."
His mother is right. The moment he met the older version of him from another world, his fate had already changed.
1. I cried when I wrote this.
