Do you still watch rwby? What do you think about the new season/new characters?

I did, and I liked volume 7 quite a bit! The new characters were 1 dimensional as usual, but the pacing and animation were an improvement!

This ask put me in the mood to doodle a bit so here’s some bits that I liked(or in the case of the first one: hated)!

Ozpin said the relic’s questions were used, but then it had 2 ready.  Does that mean he asked them 100 years ago?

And that would put it not long before The Great War.  Which fits with the ‘King’ coming up with the schools.

But that also may mean that the 3rd question is about to become available.

So rewatching RWBY I’m reminded that Neptune genuinely likes Weiss and cares about her and I really just want team SSSN back. I want to see Neptune check in on Weiss, I don’t care if it’s romantic or platonic, I just want it. I want Sage, Scarlet, and Neptune to give Sun all kinds of shit for just running out on them, and Sun is like ‘well Blake needed me’ and they just be like ‘well you could have at least told us where you were going asshole’. 

I also want to see CVFY. What have they been up to? You know with the kind of people they are they aren’t just sitting back and doing nothing. These four are out there trying to protect Vale and it’s citizens. I need Glynda too! We only saw her once on the news since volume three ended and that clip was the same one we saw the last time we saw her! I don’t want a verbal update on her, I want to see her. Does she know Ospin can regenerate? Is he going to contact her so she can come help him again?

And Ironwood. I was joking around when I said Ironwood just tell Qrow to f off if he asked to enter Atlas, but we know Ironwood does care. The last interaction Ironwood and Qrow had was Ironwood trying to make Qrow understand he wasn’t trying to hurt anyone and Qrow calling him an idiot because he already knew that and didn’t need to be told that. I also really want to see him interact with Glynda again. I loved James and Glynda’s interactions.

However the most important thing to me is team STRQ and Winter. We know Winter and Qrow are very familiar with each other, and we know Qrow cares about his old team a lot. I need to see how Winter played into the whole mess, I need to see STRQ interactions. Seriusly the only image we ever got to see of Summer was the team picture! I want to see them back in school. I want to see Winter’s team competing against STRQ in the vital festival years ago. I want to see Qrow and Taiyang playing pranks on each other while Summer chuckles and Raven see’s them as being immature.

Can we please use volume 6 to catch up with them?

RWBY Theory: Ozpin is the man who granted the Four Maidens their power

Ozpin tells Pyrrha that the story of the seasons has been around since he was a boy, to which Pyrrha replies that he’s not that old. He says that because he really is that old.

It’s illustrated by others and himself periodically that Ozpin has been around for a long time, has “made more mistakes than any man, woman, or child”, and is greatly experienced. This is because he’s the oldest living person in Remnant.

When Monty Ohm released the Color-Naming Rule he stated  “ Thus all the names in RWBY (Minus Ozpin... for reasons....) follow this rule." This is because he’s been around since before the time of the Great War, which was when the custom of naming people after colors originated.

The old man is a wizard and Ozpin is named after Ozpinhead, aka the Wizard of Oz.
