Posting this for fun because I love otp/ot3 question prompts. A lot of this is post-established relationship, with much of their dynamic already in place (so more post-CoFS!verse). *sailing my rare pair into hell* \\\(۶•̀ᴗ•́)۶//／／
Who sleeps in the middle?
Depends. They have several options for sleeping arrangements but do have one king bed in the case they all want to sleep in a pile. Usually the arrangement is whoever is going to be waking up the latest ends up in the middle, so the other two don’t disturb their sleep.
When it comes to normal work schedules, usually Shou is sleeping separate/after because of his night job while Ritsu and Rei are early birds.
If they all have time off, Ritsu is the one who tends to end up in the middle as it’s rare he gets to sleep in. Rei is in the middle the least; she gets up early for a run. Ritsu is the most likely to utilize the spare bed in the case he needs some dedicated sleep time/needs space.
Who is the best cuddler?
None of them are hugeeee in the cuddle department (for varying reasons: Ritsu doesn’t like feeling restrained/doesn't like a lot of tactile affection, Rei gets hot easily, etc), but probably Shou as he’s the most touchy of the group and knows how to give a mean hug.
Who gets hurt the most?
Rei. She has low special awareness sometimes (ADHD) in her go-go-go moods and has a high pain tolerance so doesn’t tend to notice her running into something or what not caused injury. She has at least once been knocked in the face with something and didn’t notice she had a bloody nose (Ritsu and Shou very much have a panic about it.)
Who acts like a baby?
Uhhhh, none of them really, but if it’s in a playful/joking matter then Shou. He does it for the drama. Lol
Who teases the others the most?
They have different kinds of teasing, I would say? Rei is probably the most teasing in a 1:1 sense, but her and Shou are also known to be utter gremlins in a roundabout way to Ritsu (why yes, we are going to be a nightmare at the grocery store bc we want all the snacks). Ritsu has less teasing moments and more dry sarcasm moments.
Who proposes?
N/A, they don’t intend to get married outside of some wild circumstance where it would be necessary.
Who is the most protective?
Rei. ReiReiRei. There are some complicated feelings around it to a certain extent (namely her being an internal-type esper versus her boyfriends + closest friends all being external-types AND reckless sometimes) and she doesn’t like feeling like she can’t protect people she cares about. This is a small part in why she kept up with her boxing/muay thai, which actually ends up pairing very well with her clairvoyance. She tries very hard not to be overbearing about it though, and it’s something Ritsu and Shou are very understanding/communicative of.
Both boys are very protective of Rei in the sense that like. . . she’s curvy and that gets her a lot of unwanted attention while she’s very willing to tell people off herself AND dresses how she wants despite that bc she doesn’t like being restricted, they’re aware of the annoyance of it all and will stealthily be lowkey glare machines on her behalf.
Who is the closest to the child? (Fur baby & Human Child)
Shou and Rei get Ritsu a kitten for his birthday one year and it’s a love-fest shit show from then on (and ends up roping in Shigeo and Teru bc they visit often lmao) where they are all absolute gremlins when the kitten gives someone explicit attention. Lots of photos and videos though lol~
Since my personal TeruMob dads h/c goes the Rei-surrogacy route (and thus creates a kind of group communal dynamic of sorts): that baby would be overwhelmed with love from so many people it isn’t even funny. There is no choosing because it’s all different contexts and they would never compete over it. If anything, the experience helps the trio themselves and the group as a whole get much closer, esp since other factors happen in this frame of time for them. (tl;dr community extended families ftw)
Who gives the best advice?
If you want neutral/blunt advice, probably Ritsu with Rei as a close second. If you’re looking for someone to gas you up and being a gossip girl with you, also Rei but Shou too.
Who is like a therapist?
Ehhhh, they all take turns depending on what’s going on. Probably Shou since he has some pretty thick skin and works a job that isn’t as mentally taxing. Ritsu tends to grit his teeth through things and Rei has a large tolerance threshold, but Shou is a firm believer of "venting that ish out".
Who sings B and C to sleep?
The bedside fan sings them all to sleep.
Is the relationship healthy?
Absolutely. There are a LOT of things they aired out immediately (esp. considering they are mixed orientations, Ritsu & Shou have iffy-but-under-the-bridge history they want to be careful about) and Rei is a staunch communicator (very similar to Shigeo), so there is little that goes into grudge-argument territory.
There was a lot of stuff that they had to get comfortable talking about very fast so they could learn how to navigate individual limitations, not to mention that Shou also does occasionally go on dates outside their triad (with permission/communication). They are all rather serious people when it comes to their relationship once it's established, so they put in the work~
Do A & B have a stronger bond with each other? Or do C & B or C & A have a stronger bond? Or are A, B & C close together (equally)?
Overall, there is no two people closer than the others (aka this never has & never will be a 2+1 throuple), but they DO each have specific dynamics between each pair of them that adds to the overall synergy of the group:
Ritsu and Shou obviously have the years of close friendship, so there is inherent history there (but there is also the fact that they dated and had a rather unfortunate breakup too), but they both know each other very well. They are strictly platonic/queerplatonic and it has made them closer than ever.
Ritsu and Rei are both aspec (Ritsu is aroace, barely skirting greyaro & leaning but not entirely sex-repulsed; Rei is demi aro/ace with her being dual-repulsed until there is a very strong emotional bond est.) which allows them to navigate boundaries and also communicate/navigate with Shou who is not aspec. Rei was also a big guiding support for Ritsu in really landing in a comfort zone with his own aroace identity. Rei has known & been comfortable with hers for years before that.
Rei and Shou both share in their difficulties with a not-so-pleasant parent, along with heavy expectations from said parent. They both love music and play instruments (Rei has complicated feelings with this at first bc of her mother). Rei plays piano, violin and cello. Shou plays a little piano, guitar and drums. Rei teaches Shou more piano and Shou teaches her guitar throughout their relationship. Also they are gremlins when left to their devices together (with Teru sometimes entering this fray with group hangouts).
Who can be trusted to be left home alone?
All of them??? They’re all either the responsible type or are used to fending for themselves in some regard, so all value their living space and its upkeep a lot. The only challenge they have is Rei sometimes getting a little too deep in her stimming tendencies, since she tends to be an extreme cleaner/fusser when stressed or sick.
Who cries the most?
Shou. He’ll cry when he’s happy, he’ll cry during a good movie, he doesn’t give a fuck. He has tear ducts and he'll make 'em work. Lol
Who is the softest?
Physically: Rei (curvy girl is curvy); Emotionally: Shou (he's very open and chill about things, esp emotional vulnerability)~
Ritsu does have his moments, but they are reserved for very specific people and even then can be rare sometimes (his brother notwithstanding lol).
Who is the shortest?
Shou, 5’9” at 27 y/o
Who is the tallest?
Barefoot: Ritsu, 6’1” at 27 y/o
Heels: Rei, 6’2” (5’10” barefoot) at 27 y/o
Who likes cuddles the most?
Technically Shou, but they aren’t a super physical group. They will scrunch up on the couch or sometimes end up naturally cuddling a bit in their sleep, but it’s rare to have deliberate long-term cuddling due to touch sensitivities. If Shou is feeling particularly tactile and needs a good sesh, Rei is more than willing to cuddle in the traditional sense than Ritsu (he’s the most touch sensitive), but if it's a simple pressed-at-the-sides kind of touching, Ritsu is more than okay with that.
Last of all, who sings terribly in the shower?
Surprisingly, they’re all decent singers, but Shou likes to purposely sing awful in the shower if he knows his partners are up and about. His favorite is singing cheesy/silly songs in the shower and then walking out in a towel to find Ritsu and Rei bend over laughing in the kitchen over their coffee.
