hiya!! whew, it's been so long since i've made a rosebird au... a vague one i've been thinking about isn't really much of an au but a headcanon! i like to think that while team STRQ was attending beacon, they were close friends with an atlesian team that consisted of ironwood, clover, willow, and (insert afourth member here... i haven't thought that far lol). i like to think that during the vytal festival, summer and raven were STRQ's chosen doubles round members, and they fought against willow and clover :) and that's when summer and raven started having tons of respect for each other ((which turned into something of a romance))!!
What are the traits of your ideal caregiver?
Big and scary. Can take the fight if the Whumpee tries to hurt them in self defense. Can harden their heart upon seeing what has been done to their friend/family/SO. Is hardened enough to help during the medical procedures and not flinch or hurt them even further. But careful and sweet, endlessly patient. Have a kind heart and always offer the right words. Big, gentle hands are my jam.

What are the traits of your ideal whumpee?
Small. Meant to break easily, but doesn’t. No one expects them to follow through, but they do. Everyone but the Caretaker believes them dead, but they aren’t. When they’re rescued, they’re not given a good prognostic, but they live on. I guess the word I’m looking for is unexpectedly resilient.
Not to mention secretly hopeful. Even with everything that happens to them, all of their history with Whumper, all of the shit they’ve been through, all of the healing they had to put up with, they’re always open for the new, for living again, for loving again.
What are the traits of your ideal whumper?
I’m just as bad writing whumpers as I am writing villains for my stories. I like Whumpers who are either very involved with the Whumpee or not involved at all.
So on the one hand, I like the family member: the betrayal of someone who is supposed to protect you and actually wants your demise. I like the secret father or the wayward mother. I like them sometimes reluctant, but still needing the information and being too far not to go all the way now.
And on the other hand, I like Whumpers who don’t care about what happens to Whumpee. They’re just means to an end, a tool to get what they want. They are cruel, but that’s because it’s in their nature, not because they enjoy hurting Whumpee specifically. They’ve done it before and they’ll do it again. I like to have these as sarcastic and done with life as possible.
