trigger warnings: mentions of Todd's Parent's shitty-ness, some swearing
Premise: You know how tough Todd's Parents can be on him, and how hard it can be for him during Winter break away from Welton and the rest of the poets, so you decide to surprise him with a visit.
{Okay so, in my head, Jeff has a fiancée, her name is Becky, she's a music major, she is the nicest human being}
Well, hate is a strong word, their were a few good parts, but hate seemed the closest he could get to describing his feelings over the two weeks; at least, it would be the word he used if anyone ever asked him.
The moment he had gotten home, he thought that there had been hope that not all of his vacation would be spent being ignored or compared to Jeff; his mother had gone on asking him questions about his classes and his friends, and the last time he had even spoken with Jeff, his brother had said there might not even be a chance of his coming home for the holidays, what with traffic, and his fiancée trying to get time off.
But then the phone had rang, and after a few minutes of excited chatter, Todd's mother announced, "That was Jeffery! He and Rebecca just got their train tickets! They should be here in a few hours!"
"Oh boy..." Todd had half grumbled, even his complaining gone unnoticed as his parents began to talk on and on about Jeff and his Fiancée Becky.
After his brother arrived, Todd faded into the background, unnoticed unless he was being compared to Jeff.
Throughout the parties his family hosted and attended, it seemed the only ones who would really see him in any other way was his brother himself, and Becky.
He'd been glad to have real conversations with them, it almost made him feel like he was back home at Welton, with you and the rest of the poets.
Almost.
That was how he found himself sitting up at his desk, fairly late into the night, after the last of the guests had finally left, skimming through the poetry book you'd gifted him as an early Christmas present before leaving the school.
He hardly even noticed the first pebble that knocked against his window. It took two more to get his attention, and another after that for him to actually realize it was coming from his window.
Frowning, he got up, moving over to push back his curtains, confused when he saw you standing on the lawn, waving up at him.
Quickly he slid his window open, "(y/n)? What the hell are you doing here?"
"Visiting you!" You grinned, adjusting your backpack straps, "Come down and let me in!"
"(y/n)- I- I- can't- I can't do that! My parents will kill me!"
You half frowned, looking around for a moment before deciding, "Fine. I'll come to you then."
"Wait- (y/n)- you can't- you can't just-" Todd tried to object, but you were already scaling the trellis, making your way up until you were level with him in the window.
"Hi." You smiled, leaning forward to press a kiss to the tip of his nose.
"Hey." He couldn't help but chuckle.
You grinned, glancing past him into his room, "So are you gonna move and let me in, or am I going to just be hanging from the outside of your house for the rest of my life?"
Almost flustered Todd quickly moved out of the way, helping you over the sill.
Inside, you looked around his room, moving over to his desk as he hurried to close the window, "How'd you know which room was mine?"
"It's almost midnight and you were the only one with a light on. From what I know of crazy- and what I know of you..." You trailed off with a quiet chuckle.
Todd smiled softly, "So- what's with the backpack?"
"Oh!" Your eyes seemed to light up as you pulled it from your back, "I almost forgot. I brought the short story book you got me, the softest blanket I own, and hot chocolate!"
As you listed them, you pulled these items from your backpack, setting the thermos and cups onto his desk ceremoniously.
"Why... exactly?"
"So we can hang out, and cuddle," You said, as if it were obvious; when Todd still seemed confused, you sighed, moving over to him and taking his hand, "I- ... I know that winter break if rough for you... I figured this might make you feel better."
After a moment, Todd sighed, "Okay- I'll pour the cocoa."
That was how Todd found himself cuddled up in bed with you, softly reading as your fingers carded through his hair. If from the next room over Jeff or Becky heard anything and teased him tomorrow, he would've thought it worth it.

Requested by outsiders anon: "It's November. Yes. Nearly Christmas. Yes. Can we already hear Mariah Carey bounding towards us chanting her xmas ritual song. Yes. But I've had this idea forever and I've just remembered it. At least I think I haven't requested it. Get this- Dallas but somehow he's a lifeguard. That's the whole idea, if u can do something with that, props to u. And very nice dps writing, top notch 🤯👍 - outsiders anon"
Okay, so, as much as I love the idea of dallas being a life guard, I have no clue how to fit that into a story. Instead I offer you this:
About a million years ago my dad came up with the 'guess their occupation game', where when your bored in public (totally not a real example but lets say, bored of following your sister around the mall), you look at random strangers and come up with a job and stuff for them

trigger warnings: some swearing
premise: you and Dallas get bored waiting for the rest of the gang, so you play a few rounds of the guess their occupation game
"Jesus Christ, how long are we gonna have to it here?" Dallas asked.
You sighed, "We've been waiting for less than five minutes Dal. And we're early. It's gonna be a bit."
He groaned, leaning back against the bench, "Why did you want to come so early?"
"You forget that I had 'to be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late, and to be late is to be dead' drilled into my head since childhood," You sighed, "Besides, I like people watching."
"People watching?" He asked.
You nodded, gesturing with your chin to where a woman in a bright red shirt was sitting, a pack of smokes clutched in her hand, "Okay. She's got a dead end job as a waitress, and a few weeks ago this real nice guy walked into her diner, and she fell in love. But, he's from out of town. He promised he'd come back and marry her before he left the next today. He said to meet him here, but he's not coming."
"What the fuck are you on about?"
You rolled your eyes, "Guess the occupation game. Your turn."
"The what?"
"The guess the occupation game. Your supposed to give random people a story. It's your turn, go." You half explained, looking around the park.
He sighed, "Why?"
"Because it'll kill time. Dude in the tracksuit whos about to run past."
Dallas watched the man run past the benches, "He's....... a bookie, down at the tracks, and he steals half of all the gambling money he's in charge of."
"Yes! That was good! Okay ummm. The teenager in the blue hat, by the pond. Most people think he's just in high school, and he is, but he runs an underground fight club in the gym after school."
"Lady in the yellow jacket. She's a housewife, twice widowed but just remarried," Dallas said, nodding to one of the other benches, "She came here to plot how to kill her third husband."
"Ooo, that's good. Uhhh, the idiots walking toward us. Big tall dude in the middle is a single mom." You chuckled at your own joke, pointing to where Darry and the rest of the gang were crossing the street.
Requested by Outsiders Anon: "Ted. Teddy. Theodore. I see all these writings and requests of Y/N Curtis sister dating one of the gang. I love them, they're great. trigger warnings: some swears, my lack of knowing how to actually interact with a brother bc mine doesn't talk to me, and guys being dudes ^tm
premise: hcs for the ask
{If you want more of your asks to be outright Male!reader go ahead and ask!}
you both swear you don't look alike, and considering your twins, you don't very much, but the similarities are still there
I feel like before the car wreck, you joined in horsing around with the gang a lot
I'm talking wrestling, fighting, compettions for everything
but then your parents die and things get a lot more serious
Darry won't let you drop out of school like Soda, bcause your grades are real good,
he's just trying to look out for you, becuase scholarships could certainly get you somewhere he couldn't
So you spend most of your time at school, and if your not their your working
it makes Ponyboy sad, not getting to see his big brother as much, but he tries to go visit you when he can
every time he gets Two-bit to take him down to the grocery where you work two ends up generally making fun of your awkward apron/uniform
on the very rare occurrence where Pony gets Dallas to come with him, he normally stands up for you, or makes comments I feel like 'you know I love a working guy, doll' or something that doesn't even make full sense.
hes doing his best
everytime you laugh and shake your head and just sort of go back to stocking a shelf or something as you start blushing.
Pony gets so mad but he can't do anything really
'you making moves on my brother winston?'
'what are you gonna do about it ponybitch?'
D:<
sodapop likes to make jokes that becuase twins are supposed to be divided from one set of sells or whatever you got the brains and he got the looks
everytime it's just eyerolls
so many eye rolls
You know how Darry calls Pony 'little buddy'?
Well Pony's 'little buddy' Sodas 'little pal' and your 'little man'
the rest of the gang are pretty much any other variation of 'friend' with little slapped on the front
I'm not saying that Saturdays are for the boys, but Saturdays are for the curtis brothers and you know damn well that means Darry getting the day off and the four of you piling into the truck and driving to some random place to spend the day
Saturday Curtis Brother day is the best day of the week :D
(Darry can and will give Dallas the sternest lecture about not hurting you once he realizes the ish going on between you bc that is universe and the one thing that that man wants in the world is for his brothers to be safe)

premise: Soda and Two drag you out trick or treating, because they both insist that this is the only time where age is just a number.
{also yes, Soda is Flora, You are Fauna and Two is Meriwether, No I don't make the rules}
You groaned, glancing up from your work, "What do you want Sodapop?"
"It was Two's idea!" He protested.
"No it was not!"
They began to bicker back and forth, and you sighed, "What exactly is it your trying to get me to do?"
"Well we were going trick or treating and we wanted to see if you would come with us." Sodapop offered.
"Trick or treating?" You scoffed, "For real?"
Two-Bit frowned, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Aren't we too old to go trick or treating?" You chuckled.
"Age is just a number (y/n)!" He argued.
You sighed, "Even if I was gonna go, I have nothing to wear for a costume."
"Well it's a good thing we thought of that- now lets go!"
~~
Somehow, with only another ten or so minutes of begging from the two of them you found yourself being thrown a costume, and then you were all out on the street.
"What are we even supposed to be?" You asked, glancing around at the little kids running along the streets and up to houses excitedly.
"The three good fairies. Duh." Sodapop said, as if it was obvious.
You blinked, but decided to go with it, "Alright. Lead the way then fairy boy."
That was how you found yourself following them around the neighborhood, collecting candy at each house despite the strange looks from parents and even some of the kids.
It wasn't until you'd gotten to one of the biggest houses in the neighborhood, which Two-Bit said he had heard talk of full size candy bars from that you found trouble.
"trick or treat!" Soda and Two bit yelled excitedly.
You sighed, "Trick or treat?"
The woman glared at the three of you, "Can I help you?"
"Uh, yeah, we're here for the trick or treating." Soda said.
She laughed, "You three? Don't you think your a bit old for that?"
"no?" Two-Bit frowned.
"I think you are," She smiled coldly, "Why don't you go home, and go on to whatever you teenagers do instead of robbing us people for candy."
"But-" Soda started to protest.
"I said go on!"
You frowned, taking half a step forward, "Excuse me, but if we're robbing you and the neighborhood by taking candy like everyone else, isn't everyone also robbing the neighborhood?"
"That's different. Those are children. You are teenagers. So quite stealing their fun and go on home."
You glared at her, "Your kidding me right?"
"Of course not. Now get out of here before I call the police!" She scoffed.
You frowned, and after a moment, made a somewhat rash decsions.
Darting forward you grabbed the tray of candy bars she'd been holding when she'd opened the door, snatching it away from her and booking it down the driveway, "I think this really is stealing now that you say it like that!"
Two-bit and Sodapop ran after you, laughing and whooping as you managed to dump all the candy into your already mostly full bag, dropping the lady's tray onto the sidewalk.
Darry may have been a little mad when he heard it later, as you were divvying up, but it certainly was worth it.

Premise: On one of Darry's days off you decide to meet up for coffee, and surprise surprise everything has turned pumpkin flavor overnight
The air was crisp, a chilly wind blowing as you made your way down the street. The few trees that lined the Tulsa streets were beginning to turn reds and yellows, yep, it was certainly fall.
Beside you, Darry chuckled, "What's got you so quiet?"
"I think I only just realized that its fall." You chuckled.
"That's alright, I still can't believe Septembers over!" He laughed, pulling open the door to the café.
As you stepped inside, the usual smell of coffee and baked good hit you, though you couldn't help but note that it was dashed more with cinnamon and spice now.
It took Darry all of ten seconds looking up at the menu to announce, "Yep, I'll believe it's fall now."
You giggled, surveying the list of new pumpkin flavored drinks and Halloween themed treats, "Attack of the pumpkin spice I guess."
"Pumpkin flavored everything," He nodded, "And Halloween decorations galore. No denying it now."
After you'd gotten your orders Darry led the way to a seat by the window, sitting down across from you.
"So, what's Soda's Halloween plans this year? Are they more extra than last year?" You asked with a chuckle.
Darry sighed, "I seem to remember he said something about he and Steve being Tony and Maria. But I have no clue."
You nodded, taking a sip of your drink, "And what about you? Do you have the day off?"
"I do indeed."
You grinned, "Perfect. I highly suggest we do a horror movie marathon at your place."
He smiled teasingly, "You wouldn't be too scared?"
"Not with you there," You admitted, "Besides. I like to think your more liable to be scared by these things than me."
As you spoke you reached over, snagging a piece of his pastry and popping it into your mouth.
"Hey!" He protested.
You only shrugged, "I'll supply popcorn if you supply fluffy blankets."
Darry laughed, "Deal. Just don't make the popcorn pumpkin flavored."
