[SHOW] 'L O V E I S S C I E N C E ?' (OuWen/Mark Scenes - Episode 17 Preview)
I thought this post might interest you: https://www.reddit.com/r/boyslove/comments/wlt2gl/queer_terms_in_bl_ways_to_say_gay/
Oh WOW thank you. What an interesting read.
For anyone who cares to follow the link it's about "gay for you" queerness and Mandarin language in Love in Science? to do with these two. Quite fascinating!
There is a bl cut of markouwen on youtube 😊

Ah yes! That's actually how I rewatch it now. 3 hours of content, yay!
But it's lots of tiny clips not put together into one and I am a big ol' baby.
I really want an official BL cut like GMMTV did for PeteKao. But that will NEVER happen from Taiwan. Sigh.
cheers in gay when they turn up
BL characters/archetypes I love and am always happy to see
tsundere
confident gay + disaster bi pairs
cinnamon role (but not naive)
long term pining semes
cold characters that like that one person and would die for them, but ONLY them
grumpy + sunshine pairs
outsourced moral compass (yeah, he's a monster, but he's my monster)
nerd + jock pairs
human puppy
couples where there is no established seme/uke dynamic

For me, the best part of all their new time in Love is Science? is getting to watch their development and the fascinating mirror the show is holding up between them. Ou Wen starts out as a confident and sassy gay man and we are slowly invited into his insecurities and past issues and struggles in relationships.
While Mark starts as an absolute disaster with homophobic ideas and has grown into a loyal and comfortably bi man who is obviously confident in his relationship.
... And that's just beautiful.
yes Yes YES!!!
They are the bestest.
OH PLEASE GIVE THEM A HAPPY ENDING.

Honestly, Taiwan is too good to us.
