📅28/100✔ So, I'm closer to 40 days in rather than 28, but so much happened at #ASCS40 I wanted to focus on the conference rather than posts. Now that I'm back into the regular swing of #phdlife I'll be back to posting about my daily #productivity. Today's focus was #creativity. I started off with some #blogging for #imperiumromanum, and then got into the groove for some writing. Not for my thesis (that's a weekday kind of thing) but fiction. I won't be sharing any links to my work as I like to keep it separate, but I've made some great progress over the last week on a couple stories. It was quite a relief to get back into it - I've suffered some mild writer's block recently and have struggled to get more than a paragraph or two out at a time. As for my #crafty project, I've made progress there too. I'm now 480 stitches in! 😅 It's a little boring at the moment, just stitching black, but the thought of what it will become keeps me motivated! . . . #classics #phdlife #crafts #100daysofproductivity #sassycrafts #crafting #crossstitch #dmcthreads #forestapp #hurdles #overcominghurdles #daybyday #projects https://www.instagram.com/sassy_cicero/p/Bt8PHqZhTkK/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1vnr207rk8sv1

Day 85/365. Taught a kid today who was absolutely terrified to be in the water and did not like strangers. To see him, not only complete the whole lesson, but to utterly trust me, someone he'd never met before, made my heart proud. I'm pretty sure his mum was in tears too. This is why I became a teacher, to see the small things that most people take for granted. I love seeing children overcome their fears and flourish. #Swimming #Teaching #Instructing #OvercomingHurdles #SmallStepsBigLeaps https://www.instagram.com/p/CM4tjjynv5h/?igshid=1umebql2rkdfc
When you've had a rough few days, multiple breakdowns and mental health issues but you're off out to get some recording done for @renegade_revolution_insta despite having some social anxiety doubts a few hours ago. I hoping that at least visually, I look somewhat on point with the new dress I've been itching to wear - people who really know me know of my dress aversions but this might be the start of a new hurdle? ^^; #fashion #redandblackhair #dress #littleblackdress #anxietyanddepression #overcomingfears #overcominghurdles #tryingtostaypositive
Conscious I've not done a 'proper' blog for ages... obviously I have this linked up to my Instagram so you lovely people get updates of my billion photo's I do daily hahahaha....
Warning this post may be a bit of a long one.... I've struggled this week. Hence the motivational images on this post. Life's hard sometimes and sometimes you need to realise how far you've come on your journey. Something I'm struggling with!
My picture I took yesterday in the Nike top shocked me genuinely! I honestly hadn't realised how actually big I was!!!
Me and Ben had an argument Saturday as I was moaning about not having a cheat meal, not being able to have carbs bla bla bla. He said its my own fault because I have boring meals! this annoyed me and I started to go off on one... when I got home and I had a little sleep and a calm down I realised he was right... not told him this though as us Clayton's are never wrong :)
So... Saturday I had a Turkey burger, egg and I roasted parsnips!!! omg I had some red sauce and they were like chips! Yes I know they are a root veg so there are some carbs in there but not much... :)
Its all about balance.... if you are getting fed up with food or exercise, change it up a bit. Sticking to the same thing creates consistency yes but no one likes to do the same things day in day out.
Also.... I've slipped off the wagon with my morning cardio :( I hate myself for it! im hoping that these bright summery mornings help me out :)
I CAN do this. I've worked my Ar*e off since July last year and I promise you this year I will be the one who can wear shorts comfortable and vest tops without worrying about my flabby arms or my fat chubby legs!!
I can sooo do this because I am worth it. If I put the effort in now when I reach my target I can relax a little and enjoy the rewards.
I'm nervous about seeing Chris on Friday but I always am!! pictures being taken etc its awful.
I want to see what we do though over the next month. I think I want to emphasise my training on building muscle more... eating more food? Good food obviously with cheats in.
Sorry , feel like this is a bit of a rant and all over the place. But that's how I feel today pretty much all over the place haha.
Lots of Love,
My heads a bit mashed -
Katie
