Week One Final Performance: Nova’s Random Play Dance
One More Time -Jewelry || Rainism - Rain || Be Mine - Infinite MYNAME
Sungyeol wasn’t a dancer at all but he liked watching random play dances on variety shows while he drew comics at home. It was hilarious to watch and listen. Often he ended up watching just random shows like Weekly Idol and their Random Play Dance. When the evaluation was announced at Nova, Sungyeol was pretty excited. This was something that he was very familiar with. Just a whole month of variety. He didn’t have any special talents but he could be stupidly funny (Myungsoo would probably say yes to that statement, sungyeol supposed, since his boyfriend was the only person who knew his side of that.)
They had chosen their songs fairly quickly and Sungyeol was only really familiar with the girl group because girl groups had been his late wife’s thing and he just had music on as background noise. They were told that the performances would be next week, and Sungyeol was shocked. Learning Rainism and Be Mine in a week? That was almost impossible for him. But he suppsoed that he could probably bullshit the moves as much as he could.
They had spent the time practicing and learning and on the day of the perfomance, they were ready to perform. sungyeol was a bit nervous of the performances and then the music began for rainism. sungyeol took his spot and began dancing. then the music switched to a verse in the middle of be mine. damn! he ran to his spot and kept dancing. of course, he awkwardly stumbled in the switch from be mine to one more time and then back again. He wasn’t a dancer but this was so much fun. he was enjoying this too much.
maybe he wasn’t very good at all, but he was fore sure having the most fun and he was absolutely cool with that.
Jongsuk wasn’t an actor, so a part of him dreaded the evaluation, but he was going to try and do his best that he could. That was a given. He was only a Youtuber who talked and opened boxes and played video games on his channel. He wasn’t really an actor, but he was going to do his utmost best.
He always loved the movie the princess bride, as a child growing up. He had probably watched it over one hundred times, so of course, he was going to pick something related to princess bride. he could do any of the speeches. That whole movie was just filled with gold lines. He could do the battle of wits, but he would need another person for that. Then the perfect scene came into his head. That speech before the climatic ending, with the priest when Prince Humperdinck and Buttercup were getting married. That was such a scene stealer role.
So of course, Jongsuk ended up rewatching Princess Bride to practice the voice. He was going to end up throwing away all of his dignity. It was going to be great. One scene. One monologue. One great opportunity to shine.
He was pretty excited when performance day came. It wasn’t a very long monolgue but he was pretty eager to perform it. He was dressed pretty casually with his usual sweater, jeans and boots. So nothing special. After all it was just his entire dignity that he was throwing away since the speech was somewhat....weird with the baby talk and the w’s instead of r’s.
his turn came pretty quickly. he took a spot in front of the coaches and trainers, bowing politely. he cleared his throat and began.
Mawwiage. Mawwiage is wat bwings us togeder today.
Mawwiage, that bwessed awwangement, that dweam wifin a dream…
And wuv, twue wuv, will fowwow you foweva…
So tweasure your wuv—
It was a bit short, but he nailed his delivery. he had the nasally voice almost down to an art and his w’s came out pretty good. He hoped that he did well enough to stun them, of course there were probably better actors in the companies, but he tried and he did his best.
Song: Because of You - After School as performed by NU’EST

From the very beginning, Kris was pushed into traditional roles that he had to do. He was always pushed towards being a perfect chaebol. When he started acting and modelling, however, he was faced with a completely different world. He was faced with various variations on roles. He was surprised, but he embraced aspects of femininity for himself.
This evaluation, however, was something that Kris was very hesitant on. He was scared of the songs that they had to do. The rapper didn’t listen to girl groups. He was more of the hip hop and american pop music. He had no idea what song that he would do. Luckily, he teamed up with fellow trainees Aron, Jinwoo and Johnny. He liked the guys and it was fun working with them. It was the first time that he worked with Aron since the time that he’s been here, so it was incredibly fun for him.
Jinwoo and Johnny were the new kids, but Kris wanted them to feel welcome even more. So of course, on the first day of their first practice together, he brought ice cream for everyone. That was when the lines were decided and Kris felt happy that he got the rapping parts along with Jinwoo. He offered a comforting smile to the other. He spent a while practicing with the guys and by himself as well.
When the day for the performances, he a bite nervous but he was eager to see where they would go with this performance. When it came their turn, he was pretty happy to perform with his friends. He opened the song with narration and then Aron and Johnny skillfully took it away.
He could sense the hesitation in Johnny’s voice and Jinwoo’s voices as well. He hoped that him and Aron could push the two of them to be the best that they could be. He was so into his thoughts, that he almost missed his part but he didn't.
사랑하지 말 걸 그랬어

사랑하지 말 걸 그랬어
정 주지 말 걸 그랬어

He rapped in that deep voice with that charisma that he always had. He had another part after Jinwoo’s as well, and he did that part well as well. He wasn’t nervous and he hoped that his confidence projected a lot. He finished off the song after Jinwoo with a casual pose and he grinned. “Good job guys. We did great!” he exclaimed. “Now, who’s up for bbq? My treat!” he exclaimed .
Perhaps it’s a little reckless for Chief Choi Jiwoo to be sending most of the Yongsan precinct out to Seoul Forest, rookie officers and all, to gather evidence. After all, an empty headquarters is a vulnerable one, even if she remains tucked inside her office with visuals on every entrance — one woman against the four gangs of Seoul and all those unaligned isn’t a particularly fair fight.
But, the Chief’s word is the Chief’s word, and for many, this is the first time they’ve been out on the field for a long time, or ever, so the opportunity, as morbid as it sounds, is exciting.
A senior officer informs you of your placement along the tape at the crime scene, keeping hysteric civilians, protesters and, of course, pesky reporters from getting an eyeful of the horrors that lie ahead. For the most part, it’s an easy placement. As keen as they are to get the latest scoop, they seem more interested in battling one another to the front than pushing past — at least until one brave cameraman sneaks under and makes a break for it. You’re the closest officer to him, and Chief Choi had been very firm about keeping the investigation a secret… You better start running, huh?
Myungsoo wasn’t a rookie cop so he had no idea why he was here, but since there needed to be control and maintenance of the crowd along the police tape, he would help out. He was part of the Yongsan team and as much as he claimed to hate going out into the field, he craved the whole field experience. He would have rather been with the techs and the others on the scene, but he was given a job by Chief Choi herself and he was going to do it.
He was no rookie, but he was lazy and unambitious enough to work hard and aim higher.
“Everyone keep calm!” he exclaimed, trying to calm the crowd in front of the police tape, who made an attempt to get past him. Myungsoo was almost good enough to keep control of his section with ease. Sobbing people and nosy reporters had his hands full. He hoped than not one would be dumb enough to go under his nose. He was strong but he wasn’t a fast runner.
And of course, as his luck often sucked as much, a cameraman with a bulky camera snuck past the tape, amidst the chaos at his section. Myungsoo glanced over at another officer close by and motioned for the other keep control, as Myungsoo took off running after the guy. He was a photographer as well, so he had an inkling as to what a good picture can do for a story, but this was not the time nor place for any of this bullshit.
“HEY! STOP!” he exclaimed, chasing the cameraman. The camera man was fast, but Myungsoo was faster using his physical prowess to tackle him to the ground. “I told you to stop, didn’t I?” he asked.
The cameraman groaned. “I think you broke something.” Myungsoo settled on top of the other male and reached for the camera. “Irrelevant. You are interfering with an official police investigation and I have to conficatse your cmaera.” he said, snatching the camera and starting to flip through the picture. “Can youat least get of?”
“Negative. I can’t be sure that you shall run. So you better get comfy. because I’m not moving at all.” he stated. Myungsoo flipped through the camera, deleting everything that pertained to the crime scene. The camera man stared at him. “You’re ruining my job.” he said, wincing in pain. Myungsoo glared at him. “Your phone as well.” he said. Myungsoo was going to forcibly confiscate all the footage.
Love had always been the fuzzy, far-off goal that Lennox had aspired to. As a boy, it had been the thing that had made him smile in the dark when he felt a body beside his own or when a warm hand had brushed his palm. Lennox knew for sure that, someday, he would get married; he knew his family would be there, and that once they’d exchanged vows and rings, it would be forever. He would be loved, and they’d never leave, and he would be happy. Of course, the older Lennox had gotten, the more the dream faded. He still wanted to fall in love, the kind that would inspire a muse to awaken and burn brightly, but it wasn’t the same - he was jaded a little, worn at the edges by the failed friendships and few attempts at a relationship he’d had. And even now, at eighteen and ready to leave Hogwarts to be an adult, Lennox wasn’t sure he was someone built for love and marriage and the kind of romance that had coloured the pages of his favourite books. But he was going to try anyway.
The premise was simple, but Lennox had been digging himself into holes for days trying to work out something perfect. It was a date - a date with Solomon Renfield, no less - but Lennox wanted it to be good. He’d promised Solo that he’d think about it and come back with an answer, and a date was what he needed to be sure of that answer. It would determine whether they could be alone together for any extended amount of time without Lennox throwing a punch or Solo sinking to his knees for some other guy. His hands were sweating as he places the letter on Solo’s bed, along with the flower he’d managed to make bloom with magic (which had taken three hours but he would later lie and say it’d been minutes worth of work). It made Lennox’s lips twitch into a smile as he looked down at it: the display was minimal but romantic, and even though he knew that Solo’s feelings weren’t the ones in question, Lennox still hoped he would agree to come.
Ravenclaw Tower was familiar to August from days - and nights - spent waiting for Solo, curled up on his bed. August was not Solo’s first choice of partner, this he knew - August couldn’t give Solo what he wanted, needed, even though he was sure that he gave Solo something that no one else could. It wasn’t sex, though - there had never been sex despite Solo’s reputation and August’s loose and easy one. August’s long waits in Solo’s dorm, stretched out on his bed and riding whatever high had usually been peppered with conversations from Solo’s dormmates, who August didn’t particularly care for (and nor they, he). But after so many years of chasing Solo’s company, affection, and love, August had gotten familiar with the entry points to the house - which students would let him in for nothing, and those whom he had to pitch a somewhat believable excuse to. Today, August got in by the grace of his own intellect. Given he was painfully, frustratingly, almost sober, August could rustle together enough wit for the password and slip inside. It was cooler here than Hufflepuff, and August tugged his jacket closer around his chest, hands already cold and shaking without the lofty heights of Ravenclaw adding to it.
He needed something. Bad. The problem with Hogwarts was that most people were too upstanding for their own - and his - good. They tucked a joint away in their sock drawer, feeling naughty for their small rebellions, but it did nothing for August when he was like this: out of drugs, out of money, and out of options. The pain in his head was dangerous, a living thing that thrashed inside his skull, and he knew that he’d start getting nosebleeds soon. Then the head-splitting pain. And then the visions -- and it wouldn’t stop at one. August picked up his pace, slipping into the seventh year boys’ dorm and glancing around. It was empty, save for Smith’s rabbit chewing on a sock by Lennox’s bed, so he set to work. Crossing the room to Solo’s trunk, he pushed it open unceremoniously and dropped to his knees. Trembling hands began clawing things out - shirts with holes in them, stretched too big to have ever belonged to Solo; some books, some socks. August might have been enamoured by these finds if he were high, but to him, sober, these were infuriating - where did Solo keep his stash? The trunk’s contents were empty, and he swung, shaking and frenzied, to the drawers, pulling them out and upending the contents on the floor. There had to be something - anything - to take the edge off, because if Solo didn’t have something like that, who would?
Halloween season was Minseok's favorite time of year. He always went all out for the holiday and this year was once again no exception. Usually he worked Halloween nights at the bar, but this year he was lucky enough to be off before the party at legacy started. He had readjusted his costume from work, the top hat once again went back on his head, since it could fall off when he was doing tricks and drinks behind the bar. Minseok made his way back to the company, eager to see what the Halloween party was like this year.
He was pretty excited to see the setup being on the ceiling and upon arrival, he'd gotten the card with you written on it. When that whole thing was explained, he grinned. a gift card for a bit of a scavenger hunt, he could totally go for that but first snacks. He adjusted the mask that he wore and carefully walked around, so that his cape wouldn't get stepped on. He stopped a server and got a drink and snacks since he hadn't eaten anything all evening since when they were busy, he had to be behind the bar, mixing and showing off the whole. Finishing the snacks, Minseok went on a quest to search for the rest of the clues.
However, since he did wear a top hat, he had to be very careful about bending over and the cape was so flowy that he had to try and stay out of people's ways. It did take him a few minutes (read: almost an hour) to carefully find the rest of the phrase and once he did, he found the nearest with a grin.
"Who are you dressed as?" he read off with a grin. "Tuxedo Mask from Sailor Moon!" he exclaimed, tipping his top hat with a grin. Upon no gusts of air, Minseok grinned. "Why am I Tuxedo Mask? I think he's one of the most useless characters in Sailor Moon who only shows up at the end of battles like I am here....um, I relate. Relatable. I have no actual talent except for being pretty so #useless?" He laughed, that same self-deprecating humor that he's become known for. "
August Evaluation Performance ||
Bella by Maitre Gims || Lyrics
Minhyuk had spent the entirety of the month practicing, and a bit of goofing off. Since he had to keep up the pretense that he’s unknowledgeable in the language. He practiced the song many many times and often ended up being fairly good at home. But he had no idea how he would fare in front of the trainers. God that was the most nervewracking thing about this whole evaluation. While he knew his skills, he didn’t know whether or not it would be enough to stand out at this point.
Minhyuk hated the idea of being like everyone else. everyone else would have chosen a song in a language that they knew well like Japanese or English or mandarin and here minhyuk was the unique solo one of the bunch probably.
the french rap song was slightly unexpected since it wasn’t a language that minhyuk was known for but he knew that he could blow everyone else out of the water with ease. when his turn came, he strolled into the practice room and looked at the expectant coaches who probably thought that he was out of his element. when the song began, though, minhyuk quickly found his beat and standing with ease.
there wasn’t much difficulty in rapping in french, aside from some very subtle innuendoes that may have gotten lost but he was very good. the song complimented minhyuk’s style and while not the typical choice of language for the rapper, he didn’t lose time at all. on the second verse, he sped up a bit, bringing in his signature lte speed rap style to the song despite a different language.
he showed off some of that r&b vocal that he had cultivated over the years at kt and showed that he wasn’t about to be put aside. the song was still very much in his own style and even with that finish, he finished it like a gentleman, dipping into a bow with the last bella. he clicked his tongue and winked before walking out.
