Pack Unbound!anon here - oh my god that snippet was adorable I am dying of cute and squee omg omg. I just super didn’t want it to seem like I was pressuring or anything?? Because that’s always been horrifically demotivating for me as a writer, like - having someone demand why I haven’t done such and such or act all entitled about getting more of something. So I was trying very hard to not come across like that lol. Thank you again!!

Aww, thank you, I'm delighted to hear that!

I definitely understand, and it can be very demotivating (esp. when it comes with like, nothing else, just 'oh I want more of x', like well I guess you . . . liked it at least?) but you did not come across that way so don't fret!

Honestly I've got so much in my brain and my AO3 and running about in plans, I'd need like, quite a few more Kaliras and keyboards to get through everything I want to create, damn it. ^^;

Insofar as Pack Unbound I think I've said before in a couple places, I'm also open to hearing the kinds of peeks at their lives post-Hokage!Oro investment y'all would be interested in - and I'll leave you with the thought of Oro in his office with snakes sunning themselves on the windowsill. Only Sakumo is brave enough (and knows the snakes well enough) to hop over the windows regularly these days. ;)

And imagine a black mamba rising up six feet (because they can do that!) to look you in the eye while you stand before the Hokage's desk being taken to task for making a stupid mistake; meanwhile, the Hokage's toddler is giving you a judgemental look that a three year old should really not be capable of.

So it’s totally okay if the answer is no of course but I was wondering if there would ever be any chance of you writing like a sequel or anything to Pack Unbound?

Hiya!

There certainly is; I actually have always planned to, something of a collection of moments from Hokage Mamasnek's time in office, their family time, Kakashi's lingering trauma from his kidnapping, Kakashi and his new tiny brother growing up together, some peeks at the cublings when they're older. . .

I actually have a few bits of it written in my files already. ^^;

Here's a peek at one:

Sakumo came around the bookshelves into the main room, then ducked hurriedly backwards, peeking around instead. Kakashi was leaning against the low table across the room, carefully inspecting the dull kunai they had been teaching him how to handle as he returned them to their case; Tenzou was lying on his belly on a fur in the centre of the room. He flailed and fussed a little, but Kakashi was very focused on his task and didn’t look up, one lip tugged between his teeth.

Tenzou huffed and pouted and rolled about a little, pushing himself up to hands and knees when his brother still didn’t notice him. Sakumo bit his lip, sliding a little more behind the corner of the bookcase as he watched. Tenzou trundled towards his brother, a little wobbly but very determined, and Sakumo grinned as Kakashi’s head suddenly flew up and he looked around.

Tenzou let out a little happy sound and Kakashi smiled, putting aside the kunai and pushing the case away as he turned towards Tenzou, but didn’t move any closer.

He yipped softly as Tenzou reached him, making the baby giggle even as he sat back, legs folding up, and stretched up one hand to grab at Kakashi’s arm. He stretched it out helpfully and Tenzou reached higher, grabbing his sleeve and pulling hard. Kakashi’s expression shaded with confusion, but he didn’t push his brother away, only leaned sideways a little.

Tenzou hauled harder, legs shaking as he caught at Kakashi’s shoulder. Kakashi yelped in startlement but shifted as Tenzou nearly fell against him, dragging himself up to his feet somewhat unsteadily. “Kashi!” he said happily.

“Tenzou!” Kakashi nuzzled his face, wrapping both arms around him as he wobbled again and let out a sudden cry. “Good job tiny brother!”

Sakumo bit his lip to hold back a sound of his own, not quite ready to interrupt them.

Pack Unbound really just sort of ate my brain for a week, demanding to be written and incorporating all manner of self-indulgence; I remain very fond of it and rather proud. I do still wish to write that look at things after Tobirama bombed in and turned Konoha upside-down, I just need time and, of course, to decide what would be most interesting and fun to show of their lives!
