Book Blurb:
Three days to fall in love. Six years to try to forget. Ellie didn’t expect to fall in love while interrailing through Europe. But she also didn’t expect to meet a man like Ash. Three blistering days in Lisbon is all it takes to form an unforgettable connection—a bond deep enough for them to scrap their itineraries and plan to meet again in Spain. But Ellie arrives late, and Ash is nowhere to be found. Six years later, Ellie has landed her dream job working as a gardener for a viscount and viscountess on their sprawling five-hundred-year-old estate in Wales. She finds peace amongst the towering topiary hedges and colorful gardens, but her idyll is shattered when Ash crashes back into her life. And when it becomes clear why he didn’t show in Madrid, her heart breaks anew—for what the truth means for their fate. But they have never been able to resist each other, and when the sparks of their attraction fly, Ellie’s life will catch flame. She will have to make a choice.
My Review:
I liked the book blurb, I'm a sucker for a second chance romance and touring Europe was a plus. Unfortunately most of the time I was bored. The first chapters where the main characters meet and explore Spain was fun. I enjoyed reading about the locations and especially the food. After that it went sideways and became a bad Hallmark movie. For the female lead to wind up working on the estate of the male lead would lead you to think of a happy reunion but it did not. The overlying issue throughout the story is a lack of communication. People talk a lot and say nothing. When it mattered most the characters retreated to their corners and it was annoying. Thank goodness for the last chapter HEA.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Changes Coming!
Although posting my reviews on the tumblr format has worked out over the past couple of years, I’m realizing having a bit more functionality to my site might be helpful. So this is what I’m working on – a brand new site, with fully reviews and summary sections. I’m also hoping for some quick look-up capabilities just to help making reading referrals a bit easier. I’m not sure when I’ll get to publish, but stay tuned, and in the meantime, check out a couple good ones below!
Only Love Can Hurt Like This by Paige Toon
Wren is living in the UK, happily engaged and planning her wedding until her fiancé calls it off. In hopes of finding some distraction to help her get over her heartbreak, she takes a trip to visit her father and his family in rural Indiana for the summer where she realizes there’s a lot more going on than just corn growing in the fields. Growing closer to her father, bonding with her half-sister, and meeting the “not-too-hard on the eyes” neighbors definitely helps her take her mind off of some things…mainly her ex. Although love stories and romance aren’t generally my go-to for reading, I found it difficult to put this book down. And when weeks and months go by and I’m STILL thinking about the characters, I know it’s a good one for sure.

Bye, Baby by Carola Lovering
Billie West is not a kidnapper. She doesn’t even want children of her own. But in a state of chaos, she’s done exactly that---she’s taken her best friend’s baby, with absolutely no forethought or plan on what she’s going to do next. This book lured me in and hooked me from the first page. With a combination of suspense and emotional evolution of the characters, this book had me turning the pages until the very end. Another great book by Lovering! Read it; you’ll see what I mean.

❓ Which Romance should I read next ❓ (vote in the comments 🥰) I just finished Nine Lives, I'm currently reading The Paris Apartment and I'm also listening to The Castaways! Very heavy on the murder mystery/thriller front 🔪 So, I thought I definitely should read a romance next but I cant choose between these three 😬 Can you help me? P.s. I am so excited because on the 16th March Venus Rising will be published and available to readers! I can't believe my first short story is being published in this anthology by the amazing @ourgalaxypublishing 😍 If you're interested, the link is in my bio ❤ Qotd: What are you currently reading? ✈ BOOK REVIEW: ✈ The Last Piece of my Heart by @paigetoonauthor 🎧 Rating: 5/5 stars Goodreads: 4.34 ⭐ I borrowed the audiobook of The Last Piece of My Heart from Libby (the Library app). This is my second Paige Toon novel and again I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to make my way through more of her books. From the very beginning the reader can see the dilemma Toon has given us in this book and it had me on edge the whole time. Bridget becomes a ghostwriter for an author who passed and moves to Cornwall for a while to research and start writing a sequel at the request of the author's husband. Can you guess the dilemma? I absolutely loved getting to know Bridget. She is an amazing character with such a healthy and upbeat look on life. Watching as she navigates her relationship with Charlie and then getting to know his daughter, April was a beautiful experience. Toon writes about settings in such a great way and it is always so important to her books. Bridget's research gives us huge insight into who Nicki was. Half the time I was shouting in shock, disbelief, and trying to plead with Bridget as if that could do anything. I really loved this book. Everything about April made me want to have children now! @joshdraper97 👀 She's the sweetest baby ever and I loved that Bridget loved her too. The ending brought a tear to my eye. I don't want to give too much away but could speak about this book forever.
