My year in nine. Self picked these nine photos which best represented 2021 for me. I'm don't feel ready for 2022 but I'd like to get 2021 over and done with 😂 Here's to hoping things will get better 🥂 1) I started the year with a Studio! It was really an amazing feel to have an official (albeit temporary) craft work space of my own, where I could hold classes and just crochet chill with friends. Thank you @kaijuufibers for the opportunity, and @tinykaki and @lemeowcrochet 🙌🏻 2) My first official pop-up booth at Scape with @yuzusaa !! 💕 Ahhhh!!! It was madness to prepare for this, but it was my best (sales wise) 😂 3) My BIGGEST make. A custom jumbo bumble bee! 4) I did my first stickers: junimos!! 5) My first solo booth. This was when I had a summer collab. with @beeskneesbands and met and made some amazing friends that I will treasure 🥰 (I'm lookin at you, @lavimamma_ 😂) 6) I finally completed my set of bee stickers! The four season bees! 🌸🌻🍁❄️ 7) Photo of the year by @yuzusaa of a complete set of my seasonal bees plushies. 😭💕 Best girl 😘 8) My last booth, over Christmas, with new partners @auvimade and @18beadssg , and "old" yarny friend @littleyarnfluffies 9) Spending the afternoon today at @tinyrabbithole with momo-chan. What could be better than being surrounded by amazing colourful yarn? Friends and pizza 😂🍕💕🧶 (yes, I ordered pizza for us). And to the friends who are like family, supporting behind the scenes... Hope, A Dangerous Word

Do you remember,

the way you hazed in the glory of celebrations,

or fell asleep reading that book,

yet we all landed on the other side, the same.

Started with bleeding fires,

face of a species wiped from Earth,

should've cried for help, but could they?

rushed by their side, gave prayers or two,

water, food and love to save.

Then was hellbent a madman,

declaring wars on petty battles he lost,

couldn't stand his own downfall,

made them shush up

proud of victories wrongly achieved.

Such was the sullen burden of time,

upon the shoulders of an angel,

Lakers lost a bright star,

families and a daughter.

Averted by a hair line these disasters,

skeptical were eyes, so red with tears,

mourning what could be worse?

little was known of the littlest trouble just a while away.

Wrapped in the markets of a land,

once known for its inventions,

claims rang they invented this too?

came a gift unasked for,

in sneezes, coughs and outbursts of air.

Made fun of it, thought it untrue,

until escaped the last choking breath,

streets deserted which once were filled,

jobs gone, lives altered forevermore.

Ushered and confined to our abodes we waited,

some found theirs, others got no peace,

in overloaded hospitals reeking of death and loss,

heroes now wore coats and masks.

Burning were the lungs,

both of the Earth and the humans,

aching were the hearts,

wanting this to end,

yet pain on pain kept on repeating.

Couldn't breathe one day,

not for this illness,

but for a ruthless knee brought down,

on his neck as he cried out his mama's name.

The world watched in horror, yet horror unfolded,

tears and gases, shrapnel and bullets,

took to the streets, the silenced ones,

masses on masses conjoined,

fists raised, knees bent, they cried.

Madmen they did, what they always do,

paved their paths on the blood of the naive,

but uncaring, enraged came those in torrents,

for whom now enough was enough.

Injustice, uprisal, were the call of the day,

yet the affected numbers kept mounting,

case on case till left no more,

what was this hell unleashed on Earth?!

Never stopped, I'm afraid, the scars did burn,

heal some didn't, cruelties abundant,

water, fire, wind and us,

the very victims and perpetrators.

No end is reached, man hasn't yet learned,

treat as you want to be treated,

or face the karma in vicious return.

Reopened have the gates now,

graphs and piles too high to count,

carefree some, cautious others we step into what's left.

As we lie here, awaiting the cure,

the end of this year upon,

do you ever look back and feel,

we could've made this far alone?

Hope, maybe a dangerous word,

yet if it weren't so,

would we be alive and holding on?

for a new year and a dawn,

where mercy shall be shown.

I did this spread when I was feeling like the amount of self care I require is too much and everybody seemed to be fine without that work. But, I'm beginning to completely understand that each human is soo far different than the one you live beside or the one have in your life, we are all unique and I think it's time I realised. I am who I am, the care I give myself is worth it cause I need it. If you are struggling with giving yourself time or being nice to yourself, always remember to treat yourself the way you'd treat someone dear to you. Would you demand your friend to work hard when she is hurting and is on the brim of tears? Then why do you do it to yourself? When you treat yourself special and care for yourself, everybody will slowly but surely see you, the way you see yourself ✨

The lesson of this year was : I need myself the most

And I look forward to understanding,knowing and loving myself dearly
