Most painful death in Naruto
Asuma’s. No doubt that this was the most heart-breaking death in the entirety of Naruto.
I know. I know. We lost Ero-sennin, Jiraiya, too during Pain Arc and I bet a large number of people cried a river with his passing. Nobody saw it coming. Nobody!
I felt sorry for another beloved character, Tsunade, who got her heart broken yet again
all the more Naruto— who did not only saw him as a Master, but his own family- a grandfather. But, thanks to Iruka-sensei for succoring our MC who got swept in the avalanche of emotions.
Still, Asuma’s death hits differently! Just the thought of pregnant Kurenai waiting for him to come home from his mission is beyond words.
This scene perfectly depicted what the artist wanted to convey. Everything just turned gray except for the red flowers when Shikamaru told her of the unfortunate news.
Engulfed in silence.
Vortex of pain.
Tears.
They could have raised Mirai together, grow old, and die of natural death... but the fate of a ninja sometimes do not allow such thing to exist. One has to be a pawn to in order to protect the King.
