Z O O L Z O O L The Paitan Ramen makes it to the menu later in the week at Zool Zool but tonight Uncle strikes it lucky with it's availability. The ramen comes in a very rich chicken flavoured broth, with chicken cha-shu, spinach, bamboo shoots, spring onion, egg, wakame & nori seaweed. The mark of a great ramen is in the broth, and this clinches it. Owner/manager Hideki Nishikoa is very keen for Uncle to try the Wasabi Ice Cream - why not. It's not as strange as it sounds as the creamy vanilla ice cream has flashes of wasabi which slowly pervades the ice cream. I'll gladly try it again. Uncle had the most sublime Valrhona Chocolate & Cream Caramel from the Sweet Showcase, washed down with Japanese Sencha Tea.
