Hoy zarpo mi navío de huesos y recuerdos hacia el camposanto, donde yacen dos titanes del mar que llamé Maestros.

Del primero... Solo me queda un retrato en la mente: un coloso de las profundidades, tan alto como el mástil del Kraken, que me miraba con una sonrisa que partía el horizonte. Y yo... yo no era más que una mota de polvo en su cubierta, un grumete sin curtir, con el cofre lleno de tesoros de aventuras que ni siquiera sabía que existían.

Del segundo... Perdonar. La primera vez fue esta misma semana, cuando sentí un cañonazo de luz estallar en el chakra central de mi pecho, como si el mismísimo cielo me lanzara una botella con mensaje. Tal vez por eso, desde el pergamino mágico de los vientos modernos— me llegó un susurro suyo desde las alturas. Y eso fue lo que encendió mi brújula para venir hoy a verlos.

Y escucha esto, marinero: no gastamos nuestro oro en flores decapitadas, esas que arrancan de su tierra para morir en un jarrón. No. Nosotros resembramos las flores silvestres que ya crecían libres en ese suelo, para que sigan bailando con el viento como almas libres que nunca se rinden.
