Moon 256-Greenleaf

Paleburst (35) has been stressed lately, and he’s always wondered about where he came from.  So, for a little break, he sneaks out of camp, intending to find loners who might have some clues about his origins.  The next morning, the Clan is frantic after finding Paleburst’s empty nest.  They launch a search for their last remaining Healer.  ElementClan finds his cooling body after a long search and wonders why he decided to leave the safety of camp and what killed him.  It turns out, curiosity killed this cat.  And he’s not the only cat to have died.  Orioleclover (22) was bitten by a snake and, without a Healer, she succumbed to the venom.  The Clan is in desperate need of a new Healer and Creekstar (110) longs for the days when she was young and there were more Healers than demand for them.  For now, Archdapple (31) has stepped into the Healer role. She can grow herbs and heal cats, so that’s what’s important. It’s a little unconventional, but, then again, ElementClan always has been a little odd.  In a bit of good news, Greenpaw (12) has been made a warrior with the name of Greenrapid in honor of his adaptability.  Rubbleheart (52) is spending some time with the kits and is sharing tongues with Hyacinthkit (1).  Although he does think that Whorlkit’s (1) prey looks delicious.  Why does the young cat have a juicy mouse by his paws?  He’s not even weaned yet! Downgaze (37) is really close with his mother and thinks of Creekstar as his best friend.  Aww.  He’s also a little obsessed with Sweet Marmalade (41) and could listen to him talk for hours.  Brightmouse (31) is so glad to have Archdapple back in camp.  Having her sister there has been helpful as she works through her grief.

Moon 254-Newleaf

The terrible triad is now back to being the fearsome foursome!  After a long, hard journey, Archpaw (29) has found her way back to the Clan.  In a much overdue (and much celebrated) ceremony, she is given the warrior name of Archdapple in honor of her spirit.  She’s already making her sisters laugh with her antics, although she is saddened to hear of Frostblotch’s death and the loss of Brightmouse’s (29) mate.  And it’s good news for Paleburst (33) to have a star-blessed cat in the Clan who can assist with healing.  She helps Sweet Marmalade (39) heal from his broken bone, only for him to immediately get his tail injured by falling rocks.  Primcrest (96) feels like they should just declare Skipneedle (29) and Bluestripe (29) proven already, but Creekstar (108) disagrees, leading to an argument.  However, their argument turns out to be somewhat unnecessary when Skipneedle saves Spotfoot (35) from a dog and selflessly takes the lion’s share of the run leading the dog away from the territory.  That earns her the title of proven.  Her sisters are glad to celebrate with her. Vaxxstreak (140) is also excited to have Archdapple back and tells her an embarrassing story about Skipneedle.  Dawnfreckle (37) sees Bluestripe stumble while hunting and thinks it’s cute that the usually poised she-cat can stumble.  Nettlestripe (23) is not a fan of the Clan’s youngest warrior and thinks that Cavecatcher (12) is annoying.

Moon 253-Newleaf

Paleburst (32) is overwhelmed.  There are too many cats in the Clan and he can’t take care of them all on his own.  None of the dark-cursed cats can help him and Rindlefur (20) just died of whitecough.  Whitecough!  He’s doing his best but he’s not sure if he can keep up.  Paleburst is even so busy that he ignores Nettlestripe (22) when he says hello. In a spot of good news, Downgaze (34) has announced that he’s expecting kits.  Yay!  And Cavepaw (11)  has been made a warrior with the name of Cavecatcher in honor of his dedication.  Dawnfreckle (36) is proud of his former apprentice.  Bluestripe (28) looks at Dawnfreckle’s fighting techniques and is wowed by them.  Maybe he could show her a couple. Creekstar (107) wonders if Brightmouse (28) could help her with defending the borders, but Brightmouse refuses, saying she needs more time to grieve before jumping right back into battle.  And besides, she hasn’t been able to conjure a flame in weeks.  Vaxxstreak (139) understands that Creekstar is stressed and adds a bit of her fluff to his nest.    Primcrest (95)  is keeping watch over Greenpaw’s (9) journey as an apprentice and making sure that he’s doing alright.  He’s not really falling behind-he just feels that way.   And he’s been trying to find ways to cheer up his mentor.  He turns sparring practice into a tickle fight, making Brightmouse laugh a little.

Moon 243-Greenleaf

Nettlepaw (12) has been made a warrior!  His name is now Nettlestripe in honor of his zeal.  Safariaster (150) is proud of her son, even if she is a little cranky from fighting off an eagle that tried to snap her up.  Those claw-wounds hurt!   Dawnfreckle (27) is glad that Nettlestripe is a warrior now.  He’s quite fond of the young cat.  Blizzardpaw (6) is now an apprentice!  Her mentor is Streamhiss (14).  With Safariaster injured, Paleburst (22) is the most experienced Healer.  Which means Creekstar (97) gets to boss him around instead of Safariaster.  How fun.  Safariaster asks Rindlepaw (10) for help with her wounds, but Rindlepaw is busy and turns her away.  Ouch.  Literally.  Sweet Marmalade (28) is bored being stuck in camp and decides to fill his time by decorating Echomoor’s (24) nest with flowers.  Xhosa (111) doesn’t appreciate how close Shinebreak (18) is getting with the fearsome foursome and is telling jokes about her.  Shinebreak doesn’t care.  She could drown Xhosa in a heartbeat if she wanted to.  Xhosa’s son, Almondback (18), tells Skipneedle that Oriolepaw has been struggling and Skipneedle realizes that she is too hard on the young cat.  She knows what it feels like to be an outsider.

Moon 236-Leaf-Fall

Palepaw (15) has been made a full Healer (no thanks to Safariaster’s-143- ‘training’).  He’s given the warrior name of Paleburst in honor of his friendliness.  Streampaw (7) can’t help but feel constrained by Spotfoot’s training (17).  He feels like he can’t learn everything he needs to about his powers from a powerless cat. Hopedawn (25) is frustrated by coming down with greencough right after recovering from having her litter.  She just wants to go back to work.  Primcrest (78) bumps heads with her reassuringly.  Primcrest is also impressed with the skill-level of the Clan’s apprentices.  Shinepaw (11) is proving her mastery over water by keeping all the rain out of camp.  Wow.  Vaxxstreak (122) confides in Echomoor (17), comforting his son.  Maybe one day Echomoor will be able to tell his dad the truth about what happened to Auburnpaw.  Echomoor also enjoys spending time with the dark-cursed apprentices. He tells Frostpaw (11) about the latest gossip he heard over the border and offers Skippaw (11) advice about fitting in with the Clan.  Creekstar (90) wonders if she should start bringing some of the young dark-cursed cats to gatherings. Dark-cursed cats aren’t normally taken to gatherings until they’re proven, but it could be a show of strength to the other Clans.  Shinepaw has been working extra hard in preparing for her assessment.  She worries that she’ll fail it.  Brightpaw (11) comforts her.  While on a patrol, Skippaw tells Rubbleheart (32) that she’s been having nightmares of darkness.  Rubbleheart tells her that those sound like. . .visions.  Maybe of the dark forest.  Skippaw’s scared, but Rubbleheart comforts her and tells her to go talk to the Healers.
