Similarities between two of my favorite fiery-spirited, match-making, independent-driven women of anime: Taiga Aisaka and Nanami Momozeno

1. Both don’t necessarily have the best relationships with their father figures. Their dads only seem to care about themselves.

2. Both have a tendency to play match-maker to help out their friends.

Taiga helps out Ryuuji to win the heart of her best friend Minori

Nanami helps out Lady Hitomiko to in wooing her love, Kotoro

3. Both have their own “role” or “persona” that they are known by at school.

Taiga is known as the “Palmtop Tiger”

Nanami is known as “Dirt-Poor Momozeno”

4. They like to consider themselves strong independent women who don’t need a man to make them stronger; that is, until they meet and get to know their love interests who help make them better people, and returning the sentiment.

5. They both get married at very young ages.

Toradora! was one of my favorite anime as a child, so I decided to rewatch it... And I fell in love with Taiga and Ryuuji again ^^
